Hello, and welcome to Altenew April 2020 Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing brand new stamps, dies, stencils, stamping mat and sequin set. Take a look at my watercolor envelopes:

I used Altenew’s brand new Envelope Art Stamp Set alongside the Artist Watercolor 24 Pan Set to create these beautiful colorful envelopes.

Watercoloing is so freeing and it takes your mind off of these trying times we are facing. With all of this social distancing receiving a beautiful envelope doesn’t seem so bad. Today is my mother’s birthday so one of these beautiful is headed her way.

Here’s how I created these envelopes:

I gathered all of the supplies needed for watercoloring.

Then I just wet the paper with water and just freely painted strips and circles. I love seeing how the colors blend together creating other colors.

I love working with the warmer colors: reds, yellows, oranges. Sometimes I add purple and blues to see what happens.

Once the watercolor dries, its time to create the envelope.

I used We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board to create theses envelopes.

Glue the bottom and stamp to your heart’s desire. I used Altenew Obsidian pigment ink.

Your envelopes are ready to go!

  1. Fantastic envelopes! I don’t usually make my own envelopes so don’t think about watercoloring them. Thank you so much for sharing your idea.

  2. You truly created some beautiful examples of what can be created with a new envelope art stamps set. I think this would be a lot of fun to use to make beautiful envelopes to send through the mail as they are definitely eye-catching. Happy anniversary Altenew.
