Where Creativity Meets C9 Watercolor Challenge

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with the Where Creativity Meets C9 Blog Challenge Design Team!! Our challenge this month is Watercolor!!

Watercoloring is one of my favorite mediums to use.  It is so forgiving and no matter what happens it is your masterpiece.  There are no mistakes with watercoloring and that is what is so much fun when I work with them.

For my card today, I created my own background using a couple of colors and a paintbrush. Super easy and totally fun.

Take a look at my card:

For this card, I used Prima’s Confection Odyssey Watercolor, a 12 flat brush and Concord and 9th By Your Side stamp set.

Here’s how I created this card:

  1. Select the colors you want to use.
  2. Wet your brush, pick up a color and create squares on your card front.
  3. Once you have as many squares as you want, heat set so that the watercolor square could dry.
  4. Stamp the sentiment using Altenew Permenant Black ink.
  5. Round the corners using We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board.

Super quick and simple!

What do you think?  Please let know below.

I can’t wait to see how you interpret our challenge theme this month.

Crafty Life Stamp set

I’m so excited about this month’s release because of the stamp set called Crafty Life!! It is perfect for my Creativation 2018 photos.  That event is full of classes, crafting and hugs!!  I couldn’t wait to sit down to create this layout when I arrived back in NY.

I took plenty of photos but I couldn’t fit them all on. So I randomly chose after printing them all out.

Here’s how I created this Scrapbook Layout:

I used a piece of patten paper from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection Kit as the base of this layout.

I used Reflection Collection Alphabet Puffy Sticker to create the title.

Puffy Stickers

The next step is the layer different pieces of pattern paper from the Reflections Scrapbook Collection Kit randomly and adhere them down with foam dots.

Create a tag for the side of the photo using We R Memory Keepers Tab Punch and Tab Stickers.  Stamp the sentiment using Altenew Permanent Black Ink and adhere it to the side of the photo

Add thread on top of the stacked pattern paper and adhere the 5×7 photo on top.

Crafty Life Die

Use Altenew Crafty Life Die Set to punch out the stamp banner.

Stamp a couple more sentiment around the photo to balance out the page. Add enamel dots for more texture.

I love it!!

{Clean and Simple} – Butterfly

Hello everyone!!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

Take a look at my card:

For this week’s cue card I used my Paper Artsy Eclectica 3 by Kim Dellow paired with Derwent Inktense Pencils.

Simply stamp the small marking stamp using Altenew Permenant Black Ink in the lower left corner.

Then stamp the butterfly image with the same black ink and watercolor the image using the three colors of your choice with the Derwent Inktense Pencils and spread water with a zero paintbrush.

Let the watercolor dry.

Position the butterfly where you want it so that you could stamp the sentiment.  Once the sentiment from Papertrey Ink Butterfly Hope stamp Set is stamped then adhere the butterfly using Stampin Up! Mini Dimension.

Super simple and easy.

Love Makes The World Go Round

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today sharing this super cool Deflecto Pink Border frame!  Yes, I know your wondering frame from Deflecto.  The company that specializes in organizational storage.  Yes, them.  They also sell a line of frames, table top stands all items that can be used in a craft room, living room, office or a store.

Let me show you:

Deflecto Pink Border Frame

This pink frame is perfect to hold reminder signs that you could see every day.  Positive reinforcements are powerful when you are able to see and/or hear them everyday.

Since its February and love is on everyone’s mind, I thought it was fitting to remind everyone who walks in my living room that “Love Makes the World Go Round”!

Here’s how I created this frame:

I cut a piece of Stampin UP! Painted With Love DSP to 8.5 by 11 and inserted into the back of the frame so that you could see the pretty foil design.

I used the Cricut Maker and Cricut Design Space to create Cricut’s Midnight Vinyl design that is on the outside of the frame.

Once the vinyl is cut, use Cricut’s New Transfer Tape and Cricut’s Scraper to adhere the sentiment and image as one piece to the front of the frame.

Nice and easy!!
