{Clean and Simple} CASology – Youth

Hello everyone!! It’s been a couple of weeks since I last posted anything. I’ve been so busy with Creativiation and traveling, I haven’t had time to create anything until now.    I’m so happy to be back.

It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card:

week-234-youth

Take a look at my card:

your-a-blessing-cas

For this week’s cue card I used Kitty Bee Design Sleepy Love Bug digital stamp to create my card.

I colored the image using Tombow Recycled Colored Pencils. I love the way they blend.

Then I stamped the sentiment using a new stamp company called MSE! My Sentiments Exactly Handwritten Sentiments. I received this stamp set at Creativation in my registration bag.

Super simple and easy!

{Clean and Simple} CASology – Cut

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card:

week-232-cut

Take a look at my card:

let-it-snow-cas

For this week’s cue card I used STAMPlorations Let It Snow Die as my focal point. I die cut it out of Concord and 9th Happy Hue Note Cards three times.  Then I adhered them together.

Before adhering the die cut to the card front, I  added some snowflakes with Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow die and Ranger Ink Texture Paste.

Once the paste dried, the sentiment was adhered.

So without further-a-do, take a look at our challenge theme:

try-something-new

Take a look at my card:

best-couple-wcmc9

For this challenge, the team was able to play with the new release that’s live right now.  I was played with the set called Best Banners Stamp Set!  I love everything about this set.

I wanted to keep my card clean and simple, so I stamped the four different banners at the top and bottom of the card. Then stamped the sentiment in the center. I stamped the heart and added glossy accents inside of it.  Once that dried, I added a couple of splatters for added interest.

Nice and easy.

What do you think?  Please let know below.

I can’t wait to see how you interpret our challenge theme this month.

My Storage Solutions for 2017

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today sharing some of my storage solutions for 2017!!  I have so many new things I want to try and really put into practice for 2017.  The first being brush lettering.  I started in 2016 but wasn’t able to keep it up due to so many other things I had going on.  That didn’t stop me from collecting so many different brush pens.  I stored them in pencil case, drawers and other places that I couldn’t see them in plain site.

I needed a better and more practical storage solution for my markers.  Then I came across the Deflecto Stackable Cube Organizer “X” Divider.

deflecto stackable cube organizer

These storage cubes are a super practical storage solution for any sets of pens, markers, crayons, pencils, paintbrushes, scissors or any item that you need to see while crafting.

Here’s why:

  • They have four different compartments!  The four compartments can hold different items such as different brands of brush markers.

kt-stackable-cube-x-top-view

  • They have an interlocking system! This system is perfect if you have more then one cube. It keeps the cubes together.

kt-stackable-interlocking

  • The container is clear so you can see what’s inside! This was the selling point for me.  I need to see my craft stash.  If I can’t see it, I do not remember that I have it.

Totally awesome and doable for a practical storage solution!!

Do you remember my storage post back in October on the Deflecto’s blog?  I talked about the Deflecto Stackable Caddy Organizer.  It goes perfect with these cubes!!

Sooooo, tell me what you think? Are you still looking for a way to store and organize your markers, pens, pencils, crayons, etc.? I hope I was able to help you make up your mind.

Deflecto products can be purchased at Scrapbooking.com, Amazon and Micheals!

{Clean and Simple} CASology 230 – Cold

Hello everyone and Happy New Year CASology Family!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card:

week-230-cold

Take a look at my card:

happy-winter-cas

For this week’s cue card I used the snowman and sentiment from the Rubber Dance Stamp Frosty Friends stamp set.  I picked up my Copic Markers again this week.  I actually miss using them so it was fun to play with them for this challenge.

I simple stamped the snowman and the sentiment using the Mini Misti for precision stamping. I love seeing crisp black edges so using the Misti is so important.

I colored the snowman with  BG0000,B000, C4,C6, R37,R39, R89, E37, Y38 and YR68.

Nice and easy!

My One Little Word for 2017 – Example

Gold glitter Happy New Year 2017 background. Happy new year glit

Hello everyone!!  Happy New Year to all of you! I can’t believe 2017 is here.  Wasn’t it just yesterday we were celebrating 2016?  Time really flies fast when you are super busy with life.  2016 was filled with a lot of soul searching and creating. I’ve had some ups and downs but all in all, the year was productive for me.

My One Little Word for 2016 was FORWARD.  I lived my word in 2016. I made sure whatever I did was in a forward motion.

Here are some of the things I was able to do:

  1. I started lettering.
  2. I was able to let go of people who weren’t moving forward with me.
  3. I figured out what I wanted out of this craft world.
  4. I embraced my PHA diagnose and started doing as the doctors ordered.
  5. I moved forward in all things I set out to do.
  6. I met a lot of great people this year.

The one thing I didn’t get to do that was very important:

  1. That was to get my belongings out of storage.  I will continue to work on that in 2017. I need to let go of that space.  It is costly and not allowing me to fully move forward.

I will post my 2016 album in a few days.  I still have to add some finishing touches.

↔↔↔↔↔↔

Now that 2017 is here, I am ready to share my word and working on a better me!

So for 2017, my One Little Word is Example!

Here is the definition:

definition-of-example

When I thought about my word this year, I thought about my children.  What could I do for my children? Example come straight to mind.

I want to be a positive example for my children.  They are influenced by so many things and people in their lives. I want to be that person they model after.  To be that person, they need to see me set positive examples! They need to see how they are suppose to act in the world that is cruel at times.

This will be helpful to me because it forces me to always think before I react or do something that isn’t positive in all aspects of my life.

example-quote

Be the Example!

Come along with me on this One Little Word journey this year!  It will be fun and challenging at times but I’m up for this challenge.

What is your word?  I would love to hear down below.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
