Hello, and welcome to Altenew + Pinkfresh Studio Celebrate Collaboration Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing a brand new collection called Celebrate. If you arrived here from the talented blog, Svitlana Shayevich, then you are on the right track. If this is your first stop, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Card Blog.

Take a look at my pinwheel pencils:

It’s summertime, and the patterned paper is fun and full of flowers. Perfect for the summer.

Giving gifts to my staff brings me joy. My team loves receiving goodies that I make for them. This go-round, they will receive a pencil with a pinwheel attached. This will make them smile from one ear to the other.

Creating these pinwheels are as easy as 1-2-3:

  1. Use an electronic cutter and software to create and cut the pinwheel out of the 12 x12 Celebrate pattern paper.
  2. Old brads that match are perfect to use to hold the flower petals together.
  3. Adhere the pinwheels to the pencils using a glue gun.

See nothing to it!

Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Daffodil Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello, and welcome to Altenew June 2020 Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing brand new paint-a-flower stamp set. If you arrived here from the talented blog, Amber Rain Davis, then you are on the right track. If this is your first stop, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Card Blog.

Take a look at my wooden tag key chains:

Daffodil stamp set

Stamping on wood is one of my favorite ways to craft. It’s exquisite, and it looks a lot like wood burning.

Decorating these wooden pieces is easy.

Daffodil stamp set

Simply ink up the stamp with ink that works on wood and stamp where you want the image to appear.

Daffodil Stamp Set

Now its time to stamp a sentiment. I want to use the word love, so I cover the rest of the sentiment with tape.

Once the word is entirely ink, remove the tape and stamp the sentiment where you want it.

Repeat with the second wooden tag.

Hello, and welcome to Altenew June 2020 Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing brand new stand-alone dies. If you arrived here from the talented blog, Ashlea Cornell, then you are on the right track. If this is your first stop, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Card Blog.

Let’s take a look at my mini book:

Soda top nesting die

Wow, look at edges of this mini-book, so different and new. To create this mini-book, I used two of the brand new dies released today, the Waterbrush Hello Die and the Soda Top Nesting Die.

Waterbush hello die

Here’s how to create this mini-book:

Use watercolor paper and create watercolor circles.

Let it dry.

Use a die cutting machine and cut out 10 pieces (5 pieces of the watercolored pieces and 5 blank pieces) using the biggest soda top nesting die.

Punch a hole using a hole punch.

Add one tubular rivet and secure it by banging it with a hammer.

Die-cut 3 of the waterbrush hello die out of black cardstock.

Adhere the 3 hello die-cut together with liquid glue.

Once that dries, adhere the entire hello piece to the front of the mini-book.

Add some satin gold sequin to the front of the book for dimension.

Voila – you’re done.

How to Make a Fun and Easy Cotton Tote

Hello everyone!! Can you believe we are halfway through the year? I have to say it’s been the longest 6 months ever. During the stay at home order, what new hobbies did you learn? If sewing was that hobby, welcome to the club.

Today, I’m sharing a beginner tutorial on how to make a fun and easy cotton tote using Snow Sweet Collection by J. Wecker Frisch.

Take a look at my Snow Sweet Cotton Tote:

Snow Sweet tote

This tote is so darn cute. The pairing of both fabric just fits.

Let’s take about this fabric collection:

Snow Sweet was created by J. Weaker Frisch. This collection contains 32 different pattern prints.

Instructions on how to create a Snow Sweet Cotton Tote:

Cutting fabric:

Cut two pieces of the outer material 18 inches x 16 inches.

Cut two pieces of the lining fabric 18 inches x 16 inches.

Repeat for the bag front panel.

Once both pieces are turned, it is time to put the bag together.

Right sides together line up the two pieces matching all four corners -clip.

Sew 1/4 inch seam line on all 3 sides.

Snow Sweet

Turn the bag inside out.

Adding the leather handle:

Measure down 2 inches from the top and over 3 inches from the side seam and mark the fabric.
