Announcements!!!!

Hello eveyone!!  I’m here today with some amazing announcements!! As we come to the end of 2015, I have to say its been a good year for me in the crafty world!!

I’ve had the privilege of working on some amazing design teams.  Guest designed for other companies and met some great friends on Instagram.

Now some of you aren’t on Instagram and I don’t know why.  Its an amazing social media app that I’m totally in love with.  You have the ability to post all sorts of photos at anytime from your smart phone.  I love the accessibility of posting.

If I’m in a craft store or see anything crafty, I can post it and not have to worry about doing a blog post at the given moment. I also host a Monday Giveaway each Monday to all of my followers.  Its super fun.  All they have to do its answer one question, “What did you do this weekend?”, for a chance to win a crafty goody!!

Totally awesome!! Yesterday, I posted my top #2015bestnine photos on Instagram.  Here’s a look at that:

IMG_6912

These are the nine post that received the most likes in 2015!!  Three of these cards were guest designer cards, one giveaway, two were design team post, one was a just because I love sequin card, and the last two were for the coloring challenge that I love so much!!

Well rounded would you say!! On top of that, I had 118,352 Likes to 1,152 post in 2015!!  How amazing is that!!  I’m proud of myself and can’t wait to see what 2016 will bring for me.

I secretly hope I’ve convinced you to join Instagram!!  LOL!!

Check out my feed here or on my right side bar!

Now onto another announcement, that fits right in after that amazing news!!

I’ve been asked to join Nicole’s Right At Home Design Team!!!

Week 178 - Merry

Take a look at my card:

Merry Christmas (CAS)

I have to admit there is no stamping on this card!  My sentiment and image are digital.  I created the sentiment using the Montez font and the image is a photoshop brush.

I used my Stabilo Pens Green 68/36 and Red 68/48 to color in the berries and leaves!

This card was so easy to create its unbelievable. Photoshop is a great tool to have and actually use, LOL!!

Super easy and fun!!

So what do you think?  Do you agree that our crafty supplies are our toys.  Let me know.

One Little Word 2016 – FORWARD

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with a different type of post today.  I’m not sure if many of you know about Ali Edwards One Little Word project that she started nine years ago.

If you haven’t heard of it let me give you some info from Ali herself:

“Is this your first time hearing about One Little Word®? The premise is simple – choose a word to invite into your life for the coming year. You live with it. You let it speak to you. You might even follow where it leads. There are so many possibilities and no right or wrong way to approach the adventure. Sometimes words have come to me out of the blue and other years I’ve gone looking for what it was I most wanted to bring into my life.”  –Ali Edwards

Oh man, this is such a great project that I started last year but didn’t stick with it.  You can check out my post from last year here.

I went with “determined” last year and I started off strong but I never really put much effort into it. I’m not quite sure why I didn’t stick with it but 2016 will be different for me.  I’m starting early and I’m getting everything in place to really put my best foot forward!!

Let’s check out my word for 2016:

One little word forward4

(I created this graphic myself, I’m excited about that- I’m moving forward.)

Forward (adverb) means: onward so as to make progress; toward a successful conclusion.

YES!!  I want my life to move forward!! Here are some big things happening in 2016:

  1. I’m going to CHA for the first time!
  2. I’m turning forty!
  3. My son is turning 18!
  4. My daughter is turning 10!
  5. My son is graduating high school!
  6. My son is starting college!

These things are major and I want us to go into 2016 with:

  1. FORWARD thinking!
  2. FORWARD movement!
  3. FORWARD living!

Starting in January 2016,
I will be living, breathing and demonstrating this one little word!!

I’m hoping to start the year off with a super cool card to go with my graphic above to kick this event off!!  Don’t hold me to it but I will surly try!

In the next couple of days, my new binder and goodies will arrive and I will share the process of putting things together with you!!

I hope you follow me on this journey and encourage me a long the way. I will need it!

So what do you think?  Will you join in on this adventure with your own word? Let me know!

Thank you for stopping by!!

CASology – 177 Toy

Second Post for the day
If your looking for the Sparkle and Shine Challenge, click here

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card is :

Week 177 - Toy

Take a look at my card:

toy birds (CAS)

OMG!!  I love those birds!!  Now your probably wondering what does this card have to do with the cue card!

I had a hard time trying to figure out what I was going to do since I didn’t have any stamps that represent toys.  So, I thought and thought about what I could do.  What can I do, then a light bulb went off.  I receive happymail almost everyday and I am so giddy, like a kid in a candy store.

My new stamps and dies are my “TOYS“!!!

Here is a picture of my newest happymail package:

IMG_6599

It was from Concord & 9th, who happens to be our sponsor this week.  Their new release is totally amazing. I couldn’t wait to play with my new toys.

Take a look at the inside of my card:

Toy birds inside (CAS)

Oh what joy my stamps, dies, sequin, ink pads, and all of my crafting tools brings me.  These are my big girl toys!!

To create my card using Concord & 9th By Your Side Bundle:

  1. I used Stampin’ Up! Woodgrain embossing folder to emboss the front of my card.
  2. Then I die cut the birds out of Tim Holtz Watercolor paper.
  3. I used my Koi Watercolor to color my birds and tree limb.
  4. I used Tombow Multipurpose Glue to adhere the birds to the card front.
  5. I stamped my sentiment on the inside of the card.

Super easy and fun!!

So what do you think?  Do you agree that our crafty supplies are our toys.  Let me know.

Now its your turn!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Guest Designer: Sparkle and Shine Challenge Part 2

Hello everyone!! I’m back again today with the Sparkle and Shine Challenge as the Guest Designer for the month.

Here is the photo inspiration that I used to create my card:

Sparkle and Shine

Take a look at my card:

Happiest of Holiday (S&S)

I have to say I struggle with this photo inspiration this time around.  At first I played with all of the colors in the photo and my daughter said no.  The colors were to dull.  So I decided to go with just two of the colors.

I stamped My Favorite Things Santa’s Elves tree and fussy cut them out.  Then I adhered them to my card front.  After that I added some sequin as ornaments on the tree.  Then I stamped the sentiment and I was done!!

Super easy!

So what do you think?  Please let me know.

This challenge runs for two weeks. You have until December 28, 2015 at 11:55pm to enter for a chance to win a super awesome prize!!

CS Take It Make It: Take a Technique Inspiration Photo

Hello everyone!! I’m here with CS Take It Make It: Take a Technique Challenge Inspiration Photo.

Our theme is Take a Technique: Sharing the Season!!

For this month’s challenge the technique we would like to see Seasonal creations: Winter/icy themed, or even Christmas projects if you’re not bored of these already! For those readers who live in different climates: Why not share your December seasons with us!

This should be super fun to see what the whether looks like in different parts of the world.

Take a look at my card:

Oh Joy

I just love this Mama Elephant Twinkle Towns stamp set.  I pick it up a couple of months ago and haven’t had a chance to play with it.

My question to everyone is, “Where is the snow and cold weather”?  By the time your read this it will be 60 degree.  Don’t get me wrong, snow is pretty but it’s hell to get around it in.

All I did was stamp the images and colored the ornament in with Copic markers.

I love how this card turned out!! Super pretty!

Now it your turn!!

We have two prizes to offer this month, the first is our sponsor prize. This winner will be chosen randomly from all of the entries in the challenge! The sponsor for December: Polkadoodles

pd

The prize is a £25 voucher to spend in the online store.

Our second winner is our Design Winner. This winner is chosen by our DT, who all vote for their favorite design from all of the entries. This winner will have their winning project published in Craft Stamper Magazine, they will have a GDT slot for an upcoming challenge, and will also feature in their very own Winners Profile blog post!

Now if that isn’t a reason to play along I’m not sure what is!!

I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by!
