Altenew April 2019 Washi Tape/Embossing Paste Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Altenew’s April 2019 Washi Tape/Embossing Paste Release Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing the new washi tape and embossing paste.  If you arrived here from the talented Alex Syberia blog, then you are on the right track. If you arrived here on your own, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Card Blog so that you don’t miss a thing!

Let’s take a look at my planner page:

Embossing Paste

I love decorating my planner with card making supplies. Altenew’s new Embossing Paste looks amazing on these pages.

Here’s how I created the two-tone color butterfly:

Embossing Paste

Scoop out a small amount of the embossing paste on a piece of disposable plastic (I used a zip bag, it was on my desk).

Then I added a small amount of color from the Puffy Heart Ink Spray and Sunkissed Metallic Shimmer Ink spray to the embossing paste and mixed it in.

Place the Flowing Butterfly Stencil where you want the image and apply the color paste evenly.

Gently pick up the stencil to see the image.

Embossing Paste

Stamp the sentiment from the Reason to Smile stamp set above and/or below the image.

Embossing Paste

Let’s take another look:

Embossing Paste

I also created a bookmark for my planner as well, using the same method as before.

Embossing Paste

Here’s a close up. Look at that texture and depth.

Orange Art Box + Unboxing Video

Hello everyone!!

I’m happy to be here today. It’s been awhile since I blog about something other then cards or scrapbooks. Today, I have a fun new adventure to share with you. Most of you know my daughter and I love crafting together.

Well, I came across an Art Subscription Box for Kids called the Orange Art Box. I discovered them a couple of months ago and I was impressed. My daughter loves getting mail and crafting, so I knew this would be perfect for her (and me too!!). Each month a box will arrive for her with different crafting projects inside.

Let’s take a look:

Say hello to the Orange Art Box!

Orange Art Box Gift Subscription

What is the Orange Art Box, you ask?

It’s an art subscription box for kids ages 5-12. Every month they will receive a collection of projects to inspire them to create. Each box has one main project and multiple smaller projects for hours of fun!

Perfect for school breaks, weekend and traveling in the car!

How can you get a box?

You choose the subscription length that works for you. 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months! The longer you subscribe, the more you save (and we love to save, right!!!).

Boxes are shipped within the first two weeks of the month.

Do you want to see what’s inside a box?

Yayyy, my daughter and I opened her April box together. Do not judge me, I was so excited I asked her if I could take part. LOL!!!

LOL, this was my daughter’s first time doing a video. That’s why I was in it. She said that wasn’t so bad, so next time its her turn!!

What do you think?

Now that you know what’s inside one of the boxes, will you join me and purchase one for your little or gift one to someone you love? I would love to hear your thoughts!

Stay tune for my daughters creations!!

a2z Scrapbooking Guest Design – Hero Arts Notes and Dates

Hello everyone!! I’m so happy to be here today, guest designing for a2z scrapbooking! This was my very first design team. I joined them back in 2014. So it means a lot to work with them today.

Let’s take a look at what I created:

Notes and Dates

I used Hero Arts  Notes and Dates digital kit to create these cards. It was so easy and fun.

I used Photoshop to plugged in each stamp. Two to a sheet of white cardstock.

Once all of the stamps are place all you have to do is print them.

Save the psd file so that you can recreate the cards a million times if need be.

Since it’s National Handwriting Letter Month, if any one wants one these cards to show up in their mail box just let me know in the comments below.

Before you go, don’t forget a2z Scrapbook Challenge this month is all about fun folds. Why not join in on the fu?

Take a look at my handmade stamped fabric pouch:

Daisy Fields

OMG, I’m so tickled by this cute little bag that I created! This was fun to make. Combining my love of stamping and sewing is beyond fun.

Let’s look at how I created this fabric pouch:

I stamped the new Daisy Fields image on to a piece of canvas cotton fabric using VersaCraft fabric ink.

Since the stamp is pretty big and I wanted to ensure complete coverage so I used the Memory MISTI.

Then I painted a couple of flowers using DecoArt Paint for Fashion Accessories.

Once I finished painting the flowers, it was time to sew the bag together.

It came together nicely.

Live Your Dream Die Cut Embellishments

I created this cute photo card. Such a great why to showoff your latest adventure. I saw this idea a couple a month ago on YouTube and knew that I wanted to give it a try.

Let’s take a closer look:

To create the card with the closure, I used We R Memory Keepers Tab Punch Board.

Live Your Dream Die Cut Embellishments

To keep the card closed I used a retired Tombow Hook & Loop Tab. It’s a piece of Velcro, that does not tear the paper.

Live Your Dream Die Cut Embellishments

I used the Live Your Dream Puffy Alphabet Stickers to decorate the die cut embellishment.

Live Your Dream Die Cut Embellishment

For the photo, I created a tag using We R Memory Keepers Tag Punch Board. I used Altenew Gold Washi Tape from the New Day Card Kit to decorate it.

Then I adhered the photo on top and done.

Super quick and easy.

Let’s take another look:

Live Your Dream Die Cut Embellishments

Take a look at what I created:

Growing Garden

I love when I have the opportunity to combine my love of stamping with my love of sewing.

I sewed this apron so that I could use Technique Tuesday Growing Garden to decorate it. I love how it turned out. I wish I photograph the sewing process but didn’t think of it until after I completed it. LOL!!

Let’s take a closer look:

No color was add because I wanted to stay with the black and white design.

Decorating the boarder with the growing plant stamp really made the boarder pop.

Growing Garden

I love how all of the stamps coordinate with one another. That made it easy to decorate each pocket.
