Altenew Refresh Your Alcohol Markers Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello everyone and welcome to Altenew’s Refresh Your Alcohol Markers Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing all of the new marker refills.  If you arrived here from the talented Emily Midgett blog, then you are on the right track. If you arrived here on your own, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Card Blog so that you don’t miss a thing!

Take a look at my circle layout:

Artist Marker refill

I used the new Alcohol Marker refills to create the background of this circle layout!

Here’s how I created this layout:

Place a piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock on a craft sheet.

Drop a couple of drops of Altenew Coral Berry, Frosty Pink and Ruby Red from Artist Marker Refill Set A onto the white cardstock.

Once it dries, use a small plate and trace the rim. Cut out the circle.

Adhere the circle to another piece of white cardstock and cut the circle again.

Adhere the photo to the left side, using foam tape.

Use a sewing machine, stitch around the edge of the photo and the edge of the circle.

Stamp the sentiment using the Altenew Thick and Thin Alpha stamp set.

Handwrite the journaling and add some New Day Card Kit Enamel Dots to finish the page off.

  3. What a beautiful layout!! I have to admit that my life revolves around food and those beignets look absolutely scrumptious. I hope one day I get the chance to eat one.

  4. What a lovely layout and you had to go and make me hungry!! Gosh!! Those look good!! Great job, now I have to go to the kitchen and see what I can dig up!!

  5. Hi Kymona,

Love your circle layout! I’ve never seen one before. But I love the way you created the paper even more… Looks great!

  6. What a fun and unique layout! I, too, love to scrapbook and you’ve given me tons of inspiration to think outside the box and do something different! Love the background that you made with the ink refills!

  7. This is so fun. I like how you let the drops of ink stay as drops to create a polka dot effect. Also, your journaling makes me so happy, because it’s amazing how many memories are wrapped up in food! It reminds me of when I was in college, and somehow I always ended up talking with my family about what they ate that week. It was like I could tell how the family was doing from the dinners they were making. Thanks for sharing this beautiful layout and these fun memories with us!
