Hello, and welcome to Altenew April 2020 Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing brand new stamps, dies, stencils, stamping mat and sequin set. If you arrived here from the talented blog, Ivana Camdzic, then you are on the right track. If this is your first stop, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Card Blog.
Take a look at my watercolor envelopes:
I used Altenew’s brand new Envelope Art Stamp Set alongside the Artist Watercolor 24 Pan Set to create these beautiful colorful envelopes.
Watercoloing is so freeing and it takes your mind off of these trying times we are facing. With all of this social distancing receiving a beautiful envelope doesn’t seem so bad. Today is my mother’s birthday so one of these beautiful is headed her way.
Here’s how I created these envelopes:
I gathered all of the supplies needed for watercoloring.
Then I just wet the paper with water and just freely painted strips and circles. I love seeing how the colors blend together creating other colors.
I love working with the warmer colors: reds, yellows, oranges. Sometimes I add purple and blues to see what happens.
Once the watercolor dries, its time to create the envelope.
I used We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board to create theses envelopes.
Glue the bottom and stamp to your heart’s desire. I used Altenew Obsidian pigment ink.
Your envelopes are ready to go!
Let’s take a closer look at each envelope:
What do you think? Will you make your own watercolor envelopes? Please let me know?
What is a blog hop without an amazing gift? Yayyy!!!

Thank you so much Kim!
Oh I think you are brilliant Kymona! I love the fact you created watercoloured envelopes that will definitely stand out & make a statement in each postal persons hands they get processed through. I know, because I retired from Canada Post a few years ago & we used to comment on the unique envelopes we’d see. So, they will bring a smile to more than the people they are sent to.
Totally awesome Teri! Thank you so much for sharing that. In this crisis time we all need a smile. I’m hope that’s what happens when I send them off!
Wow! I love these! Funny, I’m also creating an envelope with the same punchboard as I’m looking at your post! And, you have given me LOTS of terrific ideas to decorate it! Thank you!

Stunning envelopes! The colours are gorgeous & would be such a delight to receive in the mail.
Thank you so much Rose!!
Wonderful idea for envelope decoration. I didn’t think to do something like this wondering if watercolor paper is too thick to fold for the envelopes.
Thank you!! Yes, the thicker the paper the better. I want the envelope to hold up while it’s traveling. As long as you have a strong tape or glue the watercolor paper is perfect!
Great inspirations. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Serina! You are more than welcome!
Envelopes? What a great idea, those are really nice.
Thank you Denorah!

I was scrolling down looking for cards but saw envelopes instead. What a great idea, j love them! The most I ever did was to stamp an image on the envelope or use patterned paper to make it but these are so pretty, you can bet I will use this technique on envelopes in future.
