Hello everyone!! I’m here today to share a scrapbook page I created using Altenew’s Reflection Scrapbook Collection.
Would you believe me if I told you I started crafting by creating scrapbook pages for my son. I stopped a long time ago. I was introduced to some may different types of crafts that I slowly walked away from scrapbooking.
Last year, I started scrapbooking again by doing pocket pages. Those are easy and fun but I missed the actually scrapbook page that I use to create. So I decided to try my hand at it again.
Lets take a look:
I recently visited my nephew’s and had a blast with them. My youngest nephew is 5 years old and he is quite the explorer. He loves nature and everything it has to offer. We went out to eat and while waiting to be seated he spotted a tree outside and he had to climb it.
I was so happy that my camera was ready. I captured him looking out beyond the leaves and knew this would be a perfect shot.
Altenew is running their second sketch challenge and I figured I could join in on the fun.
Take a look at the sketch:
To create my page, I used my Brother ScanNCut Canvas online to create a heart. I downloaded it to the ScanNCut and used it to cut out the heart from one of Altenew Scrapbook pages.
Then I adhered the heart to the white background using Tombow Permanent Mono adhesive. I added dash lines around the heart to add dimension.
After that I picked out different embellishments to go with the theme of my page. I placed them according to the sketch.
Let take a closer look:
I love how the embellishments are all color coordinated.
Adding thread, adds an extra layer of texture to this layout. Super simple but effective.
So what do you think? Did I follow the sketch? I would love to hear from you.

I love the clean and simple page and the coloring is perfect for outdoors and sunny times! I also started my crafting journey by scrapbooking but I stopped because I wanted to scrap a year long journey and it started to feel too overwhelming. I will get back to it but I think I will try to do a mix of photo album + pocket page+ scrapping really interesting photos to complete the project.
Thanks for sharing the story and for the lovely page.
Hey Bertha!! Thank you so much!! I would love to see your layouts. Have fun creating.
