Hello everyone and welcome to Altenew’s Crafty Friends Blog Hop!! Today we are celebrating our unique community by sharing a project inspired by our favorite crafter or an anecdote about our crafting adventures.  If you arrived here from Scrapbook & Cards Today blog, then you are on the right track. If you arrived here on your own, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Scrapbook Blog so that you don’t miss a thing!

Take a look at my fabric scrapbook:

Reflection Scrapbook Collection

I sooo love this little fabric scrapbook album. I started 20 years ago when my son was born. I stopped after a couple of years and then fell in love with card-making. Recently, I discovered sewing and I can’t stop sewing, LOL!

For this project I decided to combine my love of all things crafty to share with you, my crafty friends!!

Here’s how I created this scrapbook album:

Decide on the fabric and cut two 7in squares. I used Adornit Vintage Polka Dot Yellow fabric.

Decide on the ribbon that would be used to close the album. I used Adornit Brown Polka Dot Ribbon.

You can hand stitch or machine stitch the ribbon to the back of one of the fabric squares.

Cut two 5inch pieces of white cardstock and adhere it the center of the wrong side of the fabric.

Using fabric glue, glue all of the side to the center of the paper.

Do this to both piece of fabric.

Cut two piece of cardstock 5 x 12 and score them 4 and 8 giving you 3 panels. Fold on the score lines and adhere the two pieces together to create an accordion look.

Adhere the back and front of the accordion to the front and back of the fabric pieces to create the album.

It should look like this.

After you assemble the scrapbook, its time to decorate it!

Reflection Scrapbook Collection

Add stickers to each page, leaving space for a photo. The photos can vary in size up to 3.5 x 3.5.

Reflection Scrapbook Collection

Close the book, string the chipboard onto the ribbon and tie a pretty bow.

Altenew Crafty Friends Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to Altenew’s Crafty Friends Blog Hop!! Today we are sharing our love of crafting with friends.  If you’ve arrived here from the talented Pretty Pink Posh blog, then you are on the right track. If you arrived here on your own, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Scrapbook Blog so that you don’t miss a thing!

Take a look at my layout:

Happy Holiday

The layout above is all about crafting with friends.  I use to do lunch Make-n-Take’s with my coworkers and they loved it.  We laughed and they learned how to create cards, boxes, ornaments, etc.  They really treasured our time together.  I love sharing my love of crafting with them.

My duties at worked changed so these lunch Make-n-Take’s dwelled away.  Looking back on these photos allow me to be grateful for these moments with my friends.

pattern play circle

Here’s how to create this page:

Using the PenBlade 15, cut some of the rose and the leaf so that the photo can rest behind them for dimension.

Reflection Scrapbook Collection

Then rounded all four corners of each photo.  Add some adhesive behind the photo and adhere them to the page behind the cut outs.

Reflection Scrapbook Collection

After that, cut a small piece of pattern paper. Adhere it to the top left hand corner of the layout by adding tape to the bottom right corner of that piece.

Then pull the top layer corner down about an inch and pin it down by placing a charm and a brad.

Happy Holiday stamp set

To add the title, use the puffy stickers from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection and run the title around the top of the photos.

Reflection Scrapbook Collection

To finish off the layout, using stamps from Altenew Pattern Play- Circle stamp set, Altenew Happy Holidays stamp set and Altenew Moments in Time stamp set to add a couple of sentiments to the bottom of the layout with the Memory MISTI.

So Suzy Stamps February 2016 Challenge

Hello everyone!!  I’m here with So Suzy Stamps and our second challenge for 2016!!!

Check out our new challenge:

Color of Love

Check out my mini notepad:

Hello Crafty friends (SSS)

Now let me tell you something before I start on how I created this card!!  I love the new stencils and brushes Suzy has in her store!!

They are called the Clarity Stencils and Clarity Brushes!!  They work wonders together!! Check out this quick video I posted on Instagram so you can see some of what I did.

After applying the ink on my Recollection White Card-stock, I trimmed it down to fit on the front of the Recollection Black Card-base.

Then I stamped So Suzy Stamp new Hello Crafty Friends stamp that is available today, on the front panel using Versafine Black Ink.

The black card base was cut to 4.50 x 8.50, scored at 4.50 and 4.

Inside

On the inside, I adhered a purple post-it note pad.

I stamped the corners of the post-it note using So Suzy Stamps Smile Stamp set.

I added Your Next Stamp Clear Gumdrops to finish the card off.

Nice, pretty and easy to create.
