All Smiles…..

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with Papertrey Ink’s Make It Monday #172: Rainbow Medallions!

Dawn Mcvey showed us how to create beautiful rainbow medallions using the stamps we have in our stash!  It’s all about placement and different colors.Dawn McveyI’ve been thinking all day long about the different stamps I could use to create this great affect.  I couldn’t think of one.  When I arrived home, I had a big box waiting for me in my kitchen.  When I looked at the label it said Papertrey Ink.  I was so excited because I had a feeling about what it was!!

My new Papertrey Ink Market Kit Shakers + Sprinkles!!

Shakers and Sprinkles KitYes, yes, yes!  I’ve been waiting patiently for this order to come.  It’s been on back-order for a couple of months.  When I saw the half sunburst as a stamp, I knew I was going to use it for this in my Make It Monday project.

So without further a due, here is my card:

Smiles 2

I use four different colors to create this look.  I took Dawn’s advice by stamping the image by its opposite so that you don’t have to worry about lining them up next to each other.  This was really fun to do and it really allows you to look at your stamps differently.

The sentiment and the sunburst are from Papertrey Ink Make It Market Kit Shakers + Sprinkles.  This kit was such a hit on their site that it cause the site to crash back in May.  I’m sorry to tease those of you who didn’t get it, but it is sold out.

Now you know why I’m All Smiles!

What do you think?

  1. What a perfect stamp to use Kymona! Never even thought of using the starburst, but have to say I love it, and just may have to CASE you on this one. And your sentiment fits just perfectly…love everything about this card! :0)

  2. Kymona – you made a thing of beauty here!! Love the way your card turned out and the colors are so fabulous!! I like the little white accent dots on your scalloped circle as well!! Nice touch!!

    • Hey Sarah!! Thank you so much for your kind comment. I’m so glad I decided to buy it. I really would have missed out if I didn’t buy it. I can’t wait to see what else I can create with the whole set. Please share what you create as well.

    • Hey Shona!!! Thank you for your kind comment. You have to give this a try. You will love it and you can use any stamp. I was over at your blog and I love what you created with Pretty Pink Posh die. I recently received mines and I wasn’t sure what to make. You have given me some inspiration.

    • Hey Patti! Thank you so much. I can’t wait to try out the rest of that kit. This technique was fun to play with. Your shaker card was so pretty. I want to try to use this technique and make a shaker card.
