Altenew June 2020 Stand-alone Dies Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello, and welcome to Altenew June 2020 Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing brand new stand-alone dies. If you arrived here from the talented blog, Ashlea Cornell, then you are on the right track. If this is your first stop, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Card Blog.

Let’s take a look at my mini book:

Soda top nesting die

Wow, look at edges of this mini-book, so different and new. To create this mini-book, I used two of the brand new dies released today, the Waterbrush Hello Die and the Soda Top Nesting Die.

Waterbush hello die

Here’s how to create this mini-book:

Use watercolor paper and create watercolor circles.

Let it dry.

Use a die cutting machine and cut out 10 pieces (5 pieces of the watercolored pieces and 5 blank pieces) using the biggest soda top nesting die.

Punch a hole using a hole punch.

Add one tubular rivet and secure it by banging it with a hammer.

Die-cut 3 of the waterbrush hello die out of black cardstock.

Adhere the 3 hello die-cut together with liquid glue.

Once that dries, adhere the entire hello piece to the front of the mini-book.

Add some satin gold sequin to the front of the book for dimension.

Voila – you’re done.

Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome to Altenew’s Watercolor Brush Marker Release Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing the new Tropical Fiesta Set.  If you arrived here from the talented Maria Willis blog, then you are on the right track. If you arrived here on your own, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Card Blog so that you don’t miss a thing!

Take a look at my wooden clipboard scrapbook panel:

Tropical Fiesta

I saw this cute clipboard at AC Moore and figured I would try using these watercolor markers on them.

I love how this design turned out. Not to hard and with just the right about of ink, the flowers turned out nicely.

Let’s take a closer look:

I stamped the Rennie Roses image using black ink and with little watercolor ink, colored the image in using the watercolor markers.

Rennie Roses

Take your time, if you go to close to the line the watercolor might bleed out of the lines, especially with the red color.

Tropical Fiesta

Once the ink is dry, stamp the sentiment “hello” from the Watercolor Dots stamp set.

Pick an image to display and your done!!

Let’s take another look:

How to Stamp on a Canvas Bag

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today to show you how to stamp on a canvas bag using Technique Tuesday Cherry Blossom stamp set!!

Let’s take a look:

Cherry Blossom Stamp Set

I love the simplicity of this stamp set and the way it looks on this canvas bag. Stamping this image was easy with the Memory MISTI.

Let me show you how:

Place the Canvas bag in the Memory MISTI at the bottom right hand corner.

Memory MISTI

Add magnets inside the bag so that the bag does not move in the process of stamping.

Memory MISTI Magnets

Place the stamp where you want the image to appear, close the MISTI door and the stamp will stick to the plate. Now the stamp is positioned in the right place each time you stamp.

Memory MISTI

Stamp the image using ink that is waterproof since paint will be applied to the image. I used Ranger Archival Jet Black Ink.

Now its time to add color to the image:

Now it’s to pick the paint.

I went with QoR watercolors because I could blend the colors in the small space.

Memory MISTI

Nice and easy.

What do you think? Will you try stamping on a canvas material? I would love to see what you create.
