CASology 141 – News

Hello everyone!! It’s CASology Tuesday!! We are back again with another Cue Card for you!!!

Week 141 - News

This time around our Cue Card is super fitting for the CASology Team!!  CASology has some awesome news to share this week!  Our fellow team member Gillian had her precious baby boy last week!!

Yayyyy, a baby in the house!!!  Now isn’t that GREAT NEWS!!! I think so!!

Now check out my card:

Did You Get the Memo (CAS)

I totally love this Lawn Fawn Just My Type and Just My Type, Too stamp set!!  I created this card before I knew Gillian’s baby was born, but I think its fitting.

All of you got the memo!!!  LOL!!

Here is how I created this card:

1. I cut my white cardstock to an A2 size card, 4.25 x 5.50, scored at 4.25.

2. I used Papertrey Ink Drips and Dribbles stamp set and stamped my splatters using Lawn Fawn Cranberry Ink.

3. I die cut Papertrey Ink Spiral Notebook Die and stamped the typewriter with My Favorite Think Hybrid Black Ink.

4. I stamped the sentiment using the same Cranberry Ink.

5. I adhered the notebook paper with a retired Stampin’ Up! arrow paperclip.

Super doper easy and CAS!!

Take a look at another card I created with the same set:
Hello (CAS)

I couldn’t help doing a little paper piecing!!  That was super fun.  The pattern paper is from my Studio Calico card kit, its called Paislee Press.

So what will you come up with?  What “News” do you have to share? I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Clean and Simple Is My Thing, What’s Yours?

Second Post for today!

If your looking for the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge post please click here.

Hello everyone!  I’m here today on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog as a new design team member!!!

I’m so excited to have been given the chance to work with all of the talented ladies on the team.  In such a short time, I’ve learn so much.

Today, I’m here to talk about Clean and Simple and what that means as a card maker.

We hear and see this term, “Clean and Simple” or CAS, but what does that mean?

Greeting cards are greeting cards right?  Yes, they are but everyone has a different style when it comes to creating cards.

Mines just happens to be CAS!!

So here is my definition of CAS:

1. A lot of white space or colored space depending on the color cardstock you choose to use.

2. Free of clutter.

3. Not complicated to create, Simple!

Take a look at what my CAS card looks like:

Thank You Monkey copy

Lots of white space + free of clutter + simple (not complicated to create) = CAS

So what do you think?  Do you create CAS cards?  Would you like to learn more about CAS cards?

Head on over to the Sweet Stamp Shop Blog for more details on why this card qualifies as CAS!

Valentine Work Workshop

Last week I held my fourth workshop at work with my faithful participants.  We had so much fun creating our Valentine/Anniversary cards for the people we love.  The women made 4 cards and 2 boxes.  They used current and retired Stampin’ Up! products.  Take a look at them at work.

Here is a my “Love You” card:

Warning: the lighting in the conference room we used was not that great so please bear with me.

In the last picture you can see the different variations of the card that I created for the workshop.  I love watching them really get creative and thinking out of the box.  These ladies are totally amazing.  Who wants to be a demonstrator?  LOL!!

New Computer

Hello everyone,

It’s been awhile since I’ve been able to post.  I bought a new computer and it took 150 hours to migrate all of my files from my laptop to my new desktop.  Now that it’s done, I don’t like it.  Go figure!!  It’s just to much stuff on my new computer.  So, please bear with me while I fix my computer issues.  I have some new things to post.  I’m excited about that.  I just need to get my new computer up and running.
