Ink Blending – Rubber Dance Stamps

Hello everyone!!  Guess what?  Bibi from Rubber Dance Stamps asked me to Guest Design for her this month!!  If you could see me jumping up and down!!  Yes, I was down right excited.

I met Bibi a couple months back when she sponsored a challenge for one of my challenge teams. I commented on her pretty giraffe stamp and then when she asked if I would guest design I was excited.

Rubber Dance Stamp is a home based, one women show stamp company located on the south-east coast of Norway!! Bibi Lindahl is the owner!

The stamps are red rubber of course and you can buy them mounted or unmounted. The style of the stamps are artsy and somewhat grungy.  I can see them being used a lot for mixed media.  That doesn’t mean you can’t used them for clean and simple style cards, because you can.  I have many times. LOL!!

Today’s card isn’t clean and simple at all.  I’m playing along with Rubber Dance Stamps blog challenge today.

Here is a sneak peek of my card:

If you want to see the entire card and the tutorial on how to create this card, stop on over Rubber Dance Stamps blog.

I hope to see you there, please leave a comment and let me know what you think of my card. I also hope you play along with the Rubber Dance Stamps blog challenge.

CS Take It Make It: Take a Stamp Challenge

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with CS Take It Make It Design Team for our CS Take It Make It: Take a Stamp Challenge for the month of May.

This month’s theme is Take a Stamp!!  That means take any stamp and create something, anything goes!! Now if that isn’t easy, I’m not sure what is!!

Take a look at my card:

There is Beauty in Simplicity (CS)

OMG!!  That butterfly is super amazing.  That butterfly comes from the new Tim Holtz’s Perspective stamp set.  I’m so glad I ordered it.  I will get a lot of mileage with that stamp.

Here is how I created this card:

1. I cut my card base to an A2 size card (4.25 x 5.50 scored at 4.25).

2. I stamped the butterfly and the sentiment from Tim Holtz’s Perspective stamp set using My Favorite Things Hybrid Black Ink.

3. I colored the butterfly using Copic Markers: BV02, BV04, BV08 and R81.

4. I added Clear Wink of Stella to the butterfly for extra shimmer.

5. I cut a mask out of the butterfly to cover my pretty butterfly up.

6. I used WPlus9 Bloomsberry Spray Mist and the Shimmer Spray Mist to add splatters to my card front.

Those sprays are awesome.  Such a great added touch to my card.

7. I rounded the corners with the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper.

Pretty neat right!!  Now its your turn to play along with us.

We have two prizes to offer this month, the first is our sponsor prize. This winner will be chosen randomly from all of the entries in the challenge! The sponsor for May is: WOW! Embossing Powders.

Wow

Here are the prizes this month:

A set of 6 vintage embossing glitters in a case and a lace stamp!!

Wow embossing powder               Wow Stencil

Our second winner is our Design Winner. This winner is chosen by our DT, who all vote for their favorite design from all of the entries. This winner will have their winning project published in Craft Stamper Magazine, they will have a GDT slot for an upcoming challenge, and will also feature in their very own Winners Profile blog post!

Hello everyone!! It’s CASology Tuesday!! We are back again with another Cue Card for you!!!

Week 141 - News

This time around our Cue Card is super fitting for the CASology Team!!  CASology has some awesome news to share this week!  Our fellow team member Gillian had her precious baby boy last week!!

Yayyyy, a baby in the house!!!  Now isn’t that GREAT NEWS!!! I think so!!

Now check out my card:

Did You Get the Memo (CAS)

I totally love this Lawn Fawn Just My Type and Just My Type, Too stamp set!!  I created this card before I knew Gillian’s baby was born, but I think its fitting.

All of you got the memo!!!  LOL!!

Here is how I created this card:

1. I cut my white cardstock to an A2 size card, 4.25 x 5.50, scored at 4.25.

2. I used Papertrey Ink Drips and Dribbles stamp set and stamped my splatters using Lawn Fawn Cranberry Ink.

3. I die cut Papertrey Ink Spiral Notebook Die and stamped the typewriter with My Favorite Think Hybrid Black Ink.

4. I stamped the sentiment using the same Cranberry Ink.

5. I adhered the notebook paper with a retired Stampin’ Up! arrow paperclip.

Super doper easy and CAS!!

Take a look at another card I created with the same set:
Hello (CAS)

a2z Scrapbooking March Color It In Challenge

Third Post for today!

If your looking for the So Suzy Stamps Release, click here

If your looking for the So Suzy Stamps March Challenge post , click here

Hello everyone!! I’m here with a2z Scrapbooking today with our March Challenge!!  The theme is Color It In!!

Use any Hero Arts product to create a beautiful colored in piece.  This will be super fun and interesting.  We get to go back to the basic and color!!  There are so many possibilities and so many different mediums that you can use for this challenge.

Check out the cards I created for this challenge:

I decided to go with no-line watercoloring to color in my image.

Have a fabulous day 2

This card I created first and loved the butterfly but once I added the splatters  I wasn’t to sure about it!  I thought it was to much and it took away from my watercolor butterfly.

Have a fabulous day

So I created this card with less splatter but the edges of the butterfly didn’t look as good as the first one.

I’m posting both so you can decided which one looks better.  My daughter and sister loves the first one better. What do you think?

I love how Dawn from WPlus9 watercolors so I watch her do this no-line coloring and decided to give it a try and I have to say I really like it.  It does take time but eventually I got it, I hope, LOL.

To create this card was simple:

I used the new Hero Arts Butterfly Stamp and Cut to stamp my image in a very light link.  I used Distress Ink Antique Linen.

Then I added clean water to the inside of the butterfly so that my colors will move when I add them.

I used my new Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor #50, #64 and #44 to produce the colors you see within the butterfly.

I used Versafine Onxy Black Ink and stamped the butterfly’s center body.  If you notice in the first image, I try to draw the antennas but that didn’t turn out to well. So I stamped right over it.

I used the same ink to stamp my sentiment from the same stamp set underneath my butterfly.

I added some of the different colors to my paintbrush and added splatters to my watercolor paper panel.

I trimmed that panel down and adhered it to my card base.

Easy Peasy!!

Now its your turn to give this Color It In theme a try!!

Amazing isn’t it!! I hope you love what you see and that it inspires you to join us this month. You have the entire month to create a new project and enter it into our challenge. By entering you will have a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to the a2z Scrapbooking Store. Winner will be announced on the 7th of April. Good Luck!

Some of the supplies I used can be found at the a2z Scrapbooking Store. If you would like to purchase any of the supplies I used please head on over to the store and use the coupon code KYMONA15 to get 15% off your purchase.
