Hello everyone!! I’m here today with a different type of post today. I’m not sure if many of you know about Ali Edwards One Little Word project that she started nine years ago.
If you haven’t heard of it let me give you some info from Ali herself:
“Is this your first time hearing about One Little Word®? The premise is simple – choose a word to invite into your life for the coming year. You live with it. You let it speak to you. You might even follow where it leads. There are so many possibilities and no right or wrong way to approach the adventure. Sometimes words have come to me out of the blue and other years I’ve gone looking for what it was I most wanted to bring into my life.” –Ali Edwards
Oh man, this is such a great project that I started last year but didn’t stick with it. You can check out my post from last year here.
I went with “determined” last year and I started off strong but I never really put much effort into it. I’m not quite sure why I didn’t stick with it but 2016 will be different for me. I’m starting early and I’m getting everything in place to really put my best foot forward!!
Let’s check out my word for 2016:

Forward (adverb) means: onward so as to make progress; toward a successful conclusion.
YES!! I want my life to move forward!! Here are some big things happening in 2016:
- I’m going to CHA for the first time!
- I’m turning forty!
- My son is turning 18!
- My daughter is turning 10!
- My son is graduating high school!
- My son is starting college!
These things are major and I want us to go into 2016 with:
- FORWARD thinking!
- FORWARD movement!
- FORWARD living!
Starting in January 2016,
I will be living, breathing and demonstrating this one little word!!
I’m hoping to start the year off with a super cool card to go with my graphic above to kick this event off!! Don’t hold me to it but I will surly try!
In the next couple of days, my new binder and goodies will arrive and I will share the process of putting things together with you!!
I hope you follow me on this journey and encourage me a long the way. I will need it!

I love your post. Thank you for sharing. I live in Canada and started with Ali’s OLW last year with explore. This was fairly easy for me to stick with as I am always exploring with life. This year is enjoy. It is great to explore but now I need time to enjoy or learn to enjoy the moment. I like your word forward and here’s to your forward and my enjoy for 2016.

Love your OLW, Kymona! I do this every year too! I have my word for 2016 all picked out, but won’t share until the new year begins! I love all the thinking/reflecting this simple word selection encourages!!!
