Grapes Are Good..

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with DoubleClick Skittles Challenge.

I’m also submitting this card to Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge: Anything Goes.

The theme is fruit so I choose to go with grapes!!  Kate C from Kate’s Creative Corner used grapes and they looked so lovely, I had to give it a try.

Take a look at my card:

Just a Note (grapes)

Like I said yesterday in my first post, I want to use some of my craft products that I haven’t used at all.

The first product was the grapes digital image from Paper Smooches. Thank you Judy from Judy’s Card Corner for reminding me.  I couldn’t remember for the life of me.

The second new product is Stampin’ Up! Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities.  I bought these awhile ago and haven’t used them so today was the day.

Grapes colored

I have to say they were easy to use.  I am a Copic girl so it was interesting to use these markers.  They are pretty much the same in terms of blending.

The one thing I notice from the beginning was the caps were hard to get off and even harder to put back on.  They took up a lot of time.  I was afraid the paper would dry so I had to leave the caps off so that I could hurry and blend.

For those of you who are wondering about my new skittles embellishments, the owner Carri, has put together a video to answer any question you might have regarding their size, color, and how to adhere them to your projects.  Please click here for that video.

Grapes Close-up

I used my Clear Wink of Stella to add glitter to my grapes and the leaves.  I love how this turned out.

My sentiment is from my Papertrey Ink Fancy That stamp set which I used yesterday for the first time.  I love this stamp set.  The sentiments are fantastic.  I’m glad I decided to finally use it.

So what do you think?  Come on over to DoubleClick Skittles Challenge for a chance to win a fantastic prize and an opportunity to play with your own skittles.  You will love them.

  1. Hi, Kymona! Your luscious grapes are a free digi from Paper Smooches (on the free digi page at their blog) and you have colored and sparkled them up beautifully! They look delicious! What a sweet card!

    • Hey Judy!! Thank you so much for your kind comment. Thank you so much for giving me the digi info. I couldn’t remember for the life of me. I gave you credit on my blog for helping me out. Your the best!!

  2. I cannot believe how perfectly you colored those grapes!! Way to go – they look yummy and delicious! I love the sparkle that they have and the way you used the skittles on this card is truly creative!!

    • Hey Taunya!! Me either!! I am truly surprised that the coloring came out so nice. I practiced twice before actually doing it on my card. The first two times didn’t look so good. I guess third time is a charm.

  3. I love how you used things that you had and haven’t been using. I need to do that…..argh! It’s a very beautiful card! Thank you for making it!

    • Hey Eileen!! Thank you so much for your kind comment. For my next couple of post, I will be using products that I have never used. Otherwise its a waste of money. I hope you get to do the same.

  4. This is such a lovely card, Kymona! I really love the dark and muted colors and that little bit of sparkle from wink of Stella. I have never seen the skittles embellishment before, but I love how they look. They finish off the card perfectly. 🙂

    • Hey Elle!! Thank you so much for your sweet comment. I hardly use my Copic Markers but I need to use them more. I had fun coloring. Yes, the skittles are so much fun to work with. They are a really nice compliment to any card.

  5. So pretty! Your coloring on the grapes is fabulous and I love the bit of sparkle from the Wink of Stella pen. Thanks for joining us at Paper Smooches SPARKS!
