Hello everyone and welcome to Altenew’s January 2018 Release Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing the all of the new Dies. If you’ve arrived here from the talented Galina Filippenko blog, then you are on the right track. If you arrived here on your own, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Card Blog so that you don’t miss a thing!
Back in December, I went to a Whole Food for lunch during a workshop I participated in Brooklyn. It was the closest place to eat so why not. I first stopped at the salad bar but thought it was to cold outside to eat salad. I notice they had a soup bar so I shared out a bowl of chicken noodle soup. I wan’t happy about it but there wasn’t anything I could do until I saw the Pop-Up Ramon Bar.
Right away I thought yes, this is going to be so good. I looked at the price and saw that the veggie soup was $8. Great, I can swing that. I asked for extra bean spouts and onions. The chief fixed me a nice soup. He handed me the soup and I walked to the counter.
The lady said $33.96, I almost went to the bathroom on myself. WHAT did you say? $33.96 for a soup? I played it cool and pulled out my credit card and paid for this meal that should’ve cost me no more then $10.
Despite the huge price tag, this meal was good. LOL!!!
For this layout, I’m using the new Simple Alpha Die!! The shape of these letters are perfect for scrapbooking. They create an amazing title which is what I created above.
I used Altenew’s Mini Blossom Die and a piece of scrapbook paper from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection to cut out all of the letters for the title.
I used my We R Memory Keepers Typewriter to type the smaller title.
I secured each letter to the base page with foam tape so that they are raised higher then the photos.
Super easy and fun!!
You do not want to miss out on her amazing creations!!

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with the Where Creativity Meets C9 Blog Challenge Design Team!! Our challenge this month is Use Your First C9 Set!!

Wow, I couldn’t decided which stamp set to use. I first met Angie and Greg back on September 9, 2015 right as they were releasing their second set of stamps. We found each other on Instagram and they asked if I would guest design for them and they sent me the Eat Cake and Celebrate stamp set and die from their first release which was in August and Map Love which was their release that went live that day.
I was so excited. So out of the two sets, I used Map Love first so that is what I decided to go with for this challenge.
These set are no longer available from their store. They have discontinued them but they will always be my favorite since I started out with these.
I created a couple notecards and envelopes. I used the Cricut Maker and Design Space to cut and draw the lines on the cards. Then I stamped the sentiments on all of the cards. Nice and easy.
So what is your first stamp set?
What do you think? Please let know below.

Hello everyone!! I’m excited to be here today. I found a new craft that I love and its sewing!!! Yes! I’m sewing bags, pouches and wallets!! I can’t believe I was afraid to even touch a sewing machine until my daughter showed me how easy it was to use.
I used a pretty fat bundle of fabric from Walmart, Thermoweb Fusible Fuse and Cricut Royal Blue Foil Iron-on to create this super cute pouch! I used the Cricut EasyPress to adhere the foil to the fabric.
Its 100% cotton with a plastic zipper. This tote is washable by hand.

I created these bags for my coworkers. It was a Christmas gift from me to them.
For these pouches, I used fabric and zippers from Joann’s, Thermoweb Fusible Fleece, Cricut EasyPress and Cricut Light Gold Foil Iron-on.
For this Zipper Clutch Wallet, I used the Cricut Maker, Cricut Fabric Apricot & Persimmon Sampler and Therm0web Fusible Fuse.
I love this wallet. It is so cute and that zipper is to die for!!
This is just the beginning for me. I can’t wait to maker more items. I’m also thinking about opening a store. Yes, I’m really taking my love of crafting to higher heights. Stay tune for my new endeavors.

For my first project I used Altenew Reflection Scrapbook Kit to create this beautiful layout of my daughter and I. We were at my younger brother’s wedding having a ball.

I love this project because I love the look of the embroidery hoop paired with papercraft products. Plus, my niece looks so happy!!!
For my third project I used Altenew New Me stamp set to talk about all of the things I love about myself. This was a fun project to do because I reminded myself about myself!!
