Where Creativity Meets C9 Watercolor Challenge

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with the Where Creativity Meets C9 Blog Challenge Design Team!! Our challenge this month is Watercolor!!

Watercoloring is one of my favorite mediums to use.  It is so forgiving and no matter what happens it is your masterpiece.  There are no mistakes with watercoloring and that is what is so much fun when I work with them.

For my card today, I created my own background using a couple of colors and a paintbrush. Super easy and totally fun.

Take a look at my card:

For this card, I used Prima’s Confection Odyssey Watercolor, a 12 flat brush and Concord and 9th By Your Side stamp set.

Here’s how I created this card:

  1. Select the colors you want to use.
  2. Wet your brush, pick up a color and create squares on your card front.
  3. Once you have as many squares as you want, heat set so that the watercolor square could dry.
  4. Stamp the sentiment using Altenew Permenant Black ink.
  5. Round the corners using We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board.

Super quick and simple!

What do you think?  Please let know below.

I can’t wait to see how you interpret our challenge theme this month.

First Concord & 9th Stamp Set

Second Post for Today
If your looking for the CASology post, click here

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with the Where Creativity Meets C9 Blog Challenge Design Team!! Our challenge this month is Use Your First C9 Set!!

Wow, I couldn’t decided which stamp set to use.  I first met Angie and Greg back on September 9, 2015 right as they were releasing their second set of stamps.  We found each other on Instagram and they asked if I would guest design for them and they sent me the Eat Cake and Celebrate stamp set and die from their first release which was in August and Map Love which was their release that went live that day.

I was so excited. So out of the two sets, I used Map Love first so that is what I decided to go with for this challenge.

These set are no longer available from their store.  They have discontinued them but they will always be my favorite since I started out with these.

Take a look at my cards:

I created a couple notecards and envelopes. I used the Cricut Maker and Design Space to cut and draw the lines on the cards. Then I stamped the sentiments on all of the cards. Nice and easy.

So what is your first stamp set?

What do you think?  Please let know below.

I can’t wait to see how you interpret our challenge theme this month.

Concord & 9th Polka Dot Turnabout

Hello everyone!!! I’m here today showcasing Concord & 9th Polka Dot Turnabout stamp set!!  Concord & 9th’s Turnabout stamps are a super big hit.  They create such fun pattens and seamless creations.  All you need is 2-4 different color inks and watch the magic happen.

Let’s take a look:

Beautiful right!! I used Concord & 9th Polka Dot Turnabout, Sophisticated Script and Sophisticated Script Uppercase stamp set.

Here’s how to create this card:

Decide on what ink colors you want to use.  I used Altenew’s Cool Summer Night oval ink pads to stamp all of the dots.

Line the stamp up with the image on the back of the packaging to make off the center of the stamp.

To get the best impressions and the correct spacing, you must use a Misti to stamp the images.

After every stamp, turn your card 90 degrees until you’ve stamped four times.

Once the background is finish, stamp the sentiment using black ink.

Finished!!

What do you think?

So what do you think?  Do you have any of the Turnabout stamp sets?  If not, start out with the polka dot set first.  Its easy.  If you have the other turnabout stamps, which ones?  I would love to hear which one you have.

Here’s the Scoop Gift Card

Concord and 9th

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today showcasing the yet another stamp set from Concord & 9th August Release.

Today it’s all about ice cream with the Here’s The Scoop stamp and die set!!

Let’s take a look:

Here's the Scoop

Isn’t this gift card just the cutest?  I love that the ice cream scoops was big enough to create a mini card.

Here’s how I created this gift card:

  • Stamp the ice cream scoop onto white card stock in black ink.
  • Using Prima Coloring Pencils, color the image the colors of your choice.  I used PC 920 (light green), PC924 (crimson red) and PC 1082 (Chocolate).
  • Use the Here’s the Scoop Die to cut that image out.
  • Cut a second one to create the gift card.
  • Score the second ice cream scoop on the left side and apply adhesive.
  • Adhere the two pieces together pieces together.

Here's the Scoop

  • Slide your card and gift card inside the envelope to send off to the recipient.

Nice, clean and simple.  This mini card was so much fun to make and the possibilities are endless.

What do you think?  I would love to hear what you think?  Please let me know below.

Concord and 9th

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today showcasing the yet another stamp set from Concord & 9th August Release.

Today it’s all about balloons with the Happy Balloon stamp set!!

Let’s take a look:

concord & 9th happy balloon

I love how the balloons can be used as hot air balloons too.  This stamp set is so versatile and can be used all year round.

Here’s how I created this card:

Simple stamp the solid balloon using Altenew Deep Iris Ink.

Using the decorative balloon stamp and the basket stamp, stamp the image using Altenew Black Ink.

To finish the card off, stamp the sentiment right under the balloon.

Nice, clean and simple.  This card is so doable and the possibilities of making a couple of these cards are great.

How to Create a Sprinkle Turnabout Gift Bag

Second Post for the today
If your looking for the Altenew Baby Mini Album, click here

Hello everyone!!  I’m here again showcasing the Sprinkles Turnabout Stamp set  and the Sprinkles Tag Set from Concord & 9th as apart of their 2nd Birthday Celebration!!

Lets take a look:

Concord & 9th Sprinkled with Love

Yes, I created a gift bag using the Sprinkles Turnabout stamp set and the Sprinkles Tag Set!

I love how this cute little bag turned out.

Concord & 9th Sprinkled with Love die

Here’s how I created it:

The tag:

  • Using the Sprinkles Turnabout stamp create the sprinkle pattern on a piece of white cardstock, with 4 different ink colors. Note: Follow the direction on the back of the package to line up the stamp perfectly to get the even pattern.
  • Stamp the sentiment in the center of the pattern with black ink.
  • Ink up the stamp again this time using Versamark ink and sprinkle black embossing power over the sentiment.
  • Heat set the powder for a raised intense sentiment.
  • Use the Sprinkles Tag die to cut out the tag.
  • Use We R Memory Keepers Power Punch to punch a hole at the top of the tag.

The bag:

  • Create the bag with We R Memory Keepers Box Punch Board.
  • Before folding the bag, use the small sprinkle stamp and Versamark Ink to create sprinkles all over the bag.
  • Sprinkle clear embossing powder on top and heat set.  This gives the image a translucent look.
  • Use ribbon to close the bag and attach the tag.  Once the bow is tied, run a piece of string under the bow and attach a couple charms.

Pretty amazing to see how a stamp set can transform a piece of cardstock.

So, what do you think?  Will you use the Sprinkles Turnabout stamp set and die to create a couple of gift bags?  Let me know.  I would love to hear from you.
