Fresh & Fun Watercoloring!

Hello everyone!  Yes, yes, more water-coloring for me.  I love it.

I’m here today with CASology and their Cue Card is Wood!

Week 101 - Wood

Yes, wood.  I was wondering how can I use my favorite technique (WATERCOLOR) and wood.  Then a light bulb when off and I knew what I wanted to do.

Take a look at what I came up with:

Woodgrain hello

Yayyy, I was able to combine my water-coloring with woodgrain!!  I love it.

1. I used Simon Says Stamp woodgrain cardstock.

2. I stamped Papertrey Ink Splat hello stamp with Distress Inks.

3. I used my paint brush to smear the circles, so that they have a spilling look from one side of the circle.

4. I added some sequins and WALA, I was done.

So tell me what you think.  I would love to know.

Supplies used:

Splat Stamp Set Distress mini ink padsSSS Woodgrain CSBasic Black CSHello Sunshine Mixed Sequins

Thank you for stopping by!

  2. Kymona, this is the coolest effect! I love the dripping watercolors on the woodgrain paper, so amazing! Thanks for playing along with us at CASology! (I’m signing on to follow your blog, too — I love your CAS style!)

  3. This is brilliant, Kymona! The watercolours look so cool on that woodgrain and I love the was you trailed off the colours. Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!

    • Thanks again Taunya! Those distress inks are so vibrant. I love how they stamp. I’ve had that woodgrain paper for awhile and I finally had a reason to use it. I love when everything comes together.

    • Hey Taunya!! Thank you! I was doing the happy dance too. I was at work when I saw the email and I was so happy all day long. That card was fun to make. BTW, you have happy mail coming your way. Look out for it.
