Altenew September 2018 Stamp/Die Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello everyone and welcome to Altenew’s September 2018 Release Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing all of the new Stamps and Dies. If you arrived here from the talented Keeway Tsao blog, then you are on the right track. If you arrived here on your own, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Card Blog so that you don’t miss a thing!

Take a look at my holiday planner notebook:

For this holiday planner notebook, I used Altenew Reflection Scrapbook Collection patterned paper, the new Altenew Blessing Stamp Set and the Festive Poinsettia Stamp Set.

Here’s how I created this notebook:

Place the chipboard on top of the pattern paper, use a number 15 Penblade to cut the patterned paper.

Once the front is done, do the same for the back cover.

Now use the We R Memory Keepers Cinch to put the book together.

Now, stamp each kraft pocket with a different sentiment.

To finish the notebook off, add some tabs so that you know which section of the notebook is which!

You can tuck all of your coupons and receipts into the pockets of the notebook. Everything in one place.

I kept this notebook clean and simple. It allows the recipient to decorate it they way they want.

Altenew December 2017 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Take a look at my Embroidery Loop Layout:

I’m so excited about this type of layout. I’ve never seen this done before. Totally a brilliant idea. I saw it on Instagram and had to give it a try. Thank you Lena from @rozalina_s for the idea.

Here’s how I created this Embroidery Hoop Layout:

I used a piece of pattern paper from Altenew Reflection Scrapbook Kit to create the base of the embroidery hoop.

Note: You have to really play with the paper and the hoop because the paper is very thick so it takes time for it to form to the hoop.

Once the paper is secured in the hoop, trim off the excuse edges and fold them back behind the loop.

Stamp the sentiment using Altenew Everything About You stamp set on a piece of what cardstock. Trim and round the edges.

Print and trim the photo to a 3 x 3 size.

Add thread behind the sentiment and the photo. Adhere both of them down using foam tape.

Finish the statement by using Altenew’s Our Family Chipboard Alpha Stickers.

For more texture, add some of the Altenew Our Family Enamel dots.

So very pretty!!

I love this sentiment stamp set because its full of encouraging sentiments. although its a faith base stamp set, it doesn’t leave anyone out. I used this stamp set to set up an encouragement page for myself when I open my planner.

I love the different fonts sizes. They are playful but can be taken serious. I can see myself creating all sorts of cards with these sentiment stamps that I could add to my planner.

Here’s a look at the Super Sweet stamp set that I used:

I really love this stamp set. It reminds me of the summer time, which happens to be my favorite season. I can’t wait for it to arrive. Here in NYC , the weather was amazing here. It reminded me of the summer so I decorated my pages to remind me of all of the fun things the summer brings.
