{Clean and Simple} – Butterfly

Hello everyone!!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

Take a look at my card:

For this week’s cue card I used my Paper Artsy Eclectica 3 by Kim Dellow paired with Derwent Inktense Pencils.

Simply stamp the small marking stamp using Altenew Permenant Black Ink in the lower left corner.

Then stamp the butterfly image with the same black ink and watercolor the image using the three colors of your choice with the Derwent Inktense Pencils and spread water with a zero paintbrush.

Let the watercolor dry.

Position the butterfly where you want it so that you could stamp the sentiment.  Once the sentiment from Papertrey Ink Butterfly Hope stamp Set is stamped then adhere the butterfly using Stampin Up! Mini Dimension.

Super simple and easy.

{Clean and Simple} – Cherish

Hello everyone!!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card:

Take a look at my card:

For this cue card I went with Darkroom Door Fine Butterflies Stamp Set paired with Altenew More Than Words Stamp Set.

When I think of the word cherish, I think of something special. Love is special and so are are butterflies.  I thought about leaving the butterfly uncolored but quickly changed my mind.  Watercoloring this image really made the image pop.  I used Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers.

Nice, simple and easy.

I created a super clean and simple card for Suzy!!  The cardstock is cut to 4.5 x 7.5, scored at 4.5.  I stamped the Butterfly Music stamp using Clearsnap Colorbox Wicked Black Archival Ink.  Then I stamped the Guess What sentiment (retired) using the same ink.  On the inside of the card I stamped the sentiment bomdiggityshizzit and Happy Birthday (retired).  To finish the card off, I added a small pop of color to the butterfly using Tombow Irojiten Vivid Color Pencils.

Super cute!!  I hope Suzy loves this card that I created for her.

Card one:

Your Tweeeet (YNS)

YNS Supplies: Tweet News Stamp Set

Other Supplies: Recollection White Heavyweight Cardstock, Tombow Irojiten Coloring Pencils, Clearsnap Colorbox Archival Dye Wicked Black Ink

I have to say I really love this card.  There’s a couple of reasons:

  1. I love the small birds!!  They are so cute and easy to color.
  2. I love the size of this card.  Its not a regular card size and I’m loving these.

What do you think?

Card two:

At Home (YNS)

Check out the open window.

Inside the window (YNS)

Check out the inside of the card.

Inside the card (YNS)

YNS Supplies: Cute Home Stamp Set, Swirly Fun Paper Pack, Butterfly Die, Stitched Peek-a-Boo Door Die

Other Supplies:Recollection White Heavyweight Cardstock, Colorbox Archival Dye Wicked Black Ink , Rhinestones

I’m in love with all of the new dies that are being released today.  This card uses a couple of them.

Here is how I created this card:

  1. Cut the card base to 4 x 4.
  2. Use the Stitched Peek-a-Boo Die to cut out the window on the card front.
  3. With the card front close and the peek-a-boo window open, stamp the sentiment inside the window so that you know its positioned in the right place.
  4. Then die cut the butterfly out of the pattern paper and white cardstock.
  5. For an added touch, add rhinestones to the center of the butterfly’s body.

So, what do you think?

I had so much fun creating these cards to inspire all of you and show you the versatility of the stamp sets! Which one of these items are favorite?  I would love to hear from you!

a2z Scrapbooking January 2016 Challenge

Second Post for the day
If your looking for So Suzy Stamps January Challenge, click here

Hello everyone!!  I’m here with a2z Scrapbooking today with our January Challenge!!!

Happy New Year to all of you!!!!  Our new challenge is all about Fireworks (add some glitter and bling)!!!!!

Check out the card I created for this challenge:

Thanks a bunch (a2z)

I used Wink of Stella and Hero Arts Pearls and Gems for my Fireworks!!  I went with a thank you card instead of a New Years card because thank you cards are in order for all of the gifts my children received from their relatives.

Creating this card was easy!!

Here’s how:

  1. My card base is from Michael’s Recollections Heavyweight cardstock.
  2. Then I used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles Die to cut my card panel from Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock.
  3. Then I used Hero Arts Stamp and Cut Thanks and stamped the sentiment and stars.
  4. Then I die cut the Hero Arts Swallowtail Butterfly Fancy Die out and adhered the butterfly to the card panel using glue dots.
  5. For the bling, I added Clear Wink of Stella to the butterfly and the Hero Arts Pearls and Gems Natural Mixed Accents to the card front.

Lets take a closer look:

Thanks closeup (a2z)
