Pocket Page Spread with Gossamer Blue

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with a pocket page spread with Gossamer Blue Life Pages Kit!

I haven’t created a pocket page in awhile so when I first pulled out my supplies I was a bit rusty, LOL!! I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do or what photos to use.

So, I looked at the kit in its entirety and decided that I would let the journaling cards lead the way.

I loved all of the green color in the kit and I knew I could get photos with some green in it!

Take a look:

My one little word arrived so I knew I need to take a picture with it. So I put on my green coat and went outside. I am always behind the camera so its nice to be in front of it.

Note: I use my iPhone 6s Plus for most of my shot but for these photos I pulled out my Canon EOS 70D.

When I finished taking the photos, I sat down and put the page together. I love the currently journaling card because I was working in the moment. This wasn’t a planned page. I added some simple embellishments from the kit for texture.

Perfect right!! That was so easy to put together.

Clean and Simple Pocket Page Scrapbooking

Hello everyone!! I have some exciting news for you!! Have you heard about a blog called Layout-A-Week? No? Well let me tell you about it!!

My good friend, Jennifer Priest, created a blog to inspire scrapbookers to create layouts once a week that are fun, easy and without wasting any of your stash!!

Are you asking were do I come in? I am one of the new designers for the Layout-A-Week team!! Yes, can you believe it!! I started out as a scrapbooker many years ago so this will be super fun for me to go back to my roots!!

Now, I know things have changed since I last scrapbook but I’m up for the challenge.

Mini Book – Pocket tag

Hello everyone!! I just want to jump in here to talk about this class I’m taking over in the Studio Calico Classroom.

The name of the class is called Mini Album with Maggie Holmes!! I am loving this class. We are creating eclectic, tag-style mini albums that pack big-time style and design. We are going beyond the basics by learning how to incorporate pockets, envelopes, custom-size page protectors, and more.
