Shaker Card – Sketch and Color Challenge #54

I’m here today with Your Next Stamp (YNS) and the Sketch and Color Challenge #54 and my final post as a DT member.

I’ve been on this team for the past year and a half. I had an amazing time. Karen has been amazing and her design are super cute and fun to work with. I’ve made some great friend with my fellow design team members. Deciding to step down was a hard decision to make but a much needed one for me.

I will continue to support Your Next Stamp and because a participant in these challenges, LOL!! That will be fun.

Each challenge has a sketch and a color combo to choose from.

For my last card, I went with my signature shaker card! It was a must. It’s my favorite technique and I used my favorite stamp set from 2016!

Hero Arts Shaker Tag – a2z Scrapbooking December 2016 Challenge

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with a a2z Scrapbooking Challenge. The theme this month is Anything but a Card!!

Take a look at my tag:

Here is how I created this tag:

I gather all of my supplies needed to create a tag: Hero Arts Joyful Tiding Tag Set, Hero Arts Raspberry Ink, Hero Arts Black Ink, Lucy Abrams Ivory Sequin, We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool, We R Memory Keepers Photo Sleeves, and Tombow Mono Adhesive Plus, We R Memory Keepers Crop-a-dile and a ColorBox Art Dauber.

I die cut three tags so that I could stack them on top of each other. Then I used the sponge dauber to add some color using the Hero Arts Raspberry Jam Ink.

Once the top tag was inked to my liking, I adhered the two additional tags with Tombow Mono Adhesive Plus.

Once all of the pieces were in place, I used the Mini MISTI to stamp the sentiment on the tag.

Now the tag is ready to become a shaker.

I gathered all of the supplies need to create the shaker portion of the tag.

You need a We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool, We R Memory Keepers Fuseable Photo Sheets.

Place the finished tag inside the plastic and line the die up over it. Use Washi tape to hold it down. Then you want to glide the fuse tool around the die, sealing it.

Once you add the sequin is added inside, seal the top of the tag the same way you did the body of the tag.

Punch a hole using a We R Memory Keepers Crop-a-dile and string a piece of string.

Nice and easy! Super cool to create!

Happy Birthday Karen Blog Hop

Hello everyone!! I’m here today to help celebrate Karen, the owner of Your Next Stamps Birthday!!

She is turning 40 which is an awesome ago!! It means she is old enough to know what people think doesn’t matter and young enough to still be cool with to her kids!! At least that is how I felt when I turned 40 back in April!!

YNS Feature Day – Favorite Technique

This month we are focusing on “Favorite Technique”!! The DT created projects related to the technique they love the most.

My favorite technique is creating shaker cards/tags. I love creating the shaker pockets. Its so much fun and relaxing.

YNS Supplies: SpookTacular Halloween Stamp Set, Scallop Circle Die Set,Happy Haunting Die Set

Other Supplies: Little Things Spider’s Web Sequin, Vellum, Clearsnap Colorbox Black Embossing Powder, We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool, We R Memory Keepers Fuseables Clear Sheets, Small safety pin, We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile, Black Ribbon, Versamark, Tombow Mono Adhesive

Creating this simple tag was super easy to do. I used the fuse tool to trace the outside of the scallop circle die to seal the edges, leaving a small opening. I die cut the ghost and added them plus the sequin inside the scallop fuseable sheet. After that I sealed the scalloped sheet. Then I used the Crop-A-Dile to punch a hole and added the ribbon.

Now its time to add the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink and sprinkled black embossing powder on top. I heat set it and adhered it to the front of the shaker pocket with Tombow Mono Adhesive.

Your Next Stamp DT Dare – Square Cards

Clean and Simple Pocket Page Scrapbooking

CS Take It Make It: Stamping Huge Sentiments

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with CS Take It Make It Design Team for our CS Take It Make It: Take a Stamp Challenge for the month of July.

This month’s theme is Take a Stamp!! That means take any stamp and create something, anything goes!! Now if that isn’t easy, I’m not sure what is!!

Take a look at my card:

Hello Friend (TIMI)

I absolutely love this Mama Elephant Hello Friend Wishes stamp set!! The font is so pretty!! Its the perfect sentiment that looks amazing all by itself.

I decided to create a shaker card!! You know how much I love shaker cards.

Here is how I created this card:

Blend Distress Ink Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Salty Ocean on a piece of card stock.
Then stamp the Mama Elephant Hello Friend sentiment with Versamark Ink.
Cover the stamped image with Colorbox White Embossing Powder and heat set.
Cut the frame out of black heavyweight cardstock using Mama Elephant Framed Tags – Park Avenue – Creative Cuts.
Using the We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool, the We Re Memory Keepers Photo Sleeves and the Mama Elephant die to create the shaker pocket. For the full tutorial, check out his post.
Before sealing the shaker pocket fill it with Little Things Crystal Sparkly from Lucy’s Cards.
Add some foam strips to the back of the frame and attach it to the card base.
