Hello everyone!! It’s CASology Tuesday!! We are back again with another Cue Card for you!!
So this cue word seems easy, right? Well not so easy. I had nothing, nothing in my stash that screamed “Basket”. I search all of my retired stamps and my new stamps that haven’t been touch yet and I couldn’t find anything with a basket.
Then I remember, the light bulb went off, I received some new stamps for an upcoming release from So Suzy Stamps and guess what stamp was in that package. Yes, a basket of apples!! I was super excited. I’m still in the race with my fellow DT members!!
Take a look at my card:
Yes, this basket of apples saved the day for me. To create this card was super easy minus the coloring.
1. I cut my card base to an A2 size card (4.25 x. 5.50). I cut a piece of Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather Patten Paper and adhered it to the front of my card base.
2. I used My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Rounded Rectangle STAX die to cut out a piece of white cardstock.
3. I stamped my image and colored it in with Copic Markers; W4, Y13, Y15, Y19, E31, E33, E35, E37, R22 R24 and N5.
4. I stamped my sentiment from Lawn Fawn Good Teacher stamp set.
5. I adhered the white panel to the front of my card base with foam adhesive.
6. I added some Clear Wink of Stella to my apples and belly ban on my basket.
That was it! Nice and easy thanks to So Suzy Stamps!! So since her basket of apples saved the day for me.
I’m doing a giveaway!!!! Two lucky winners will win a pre-release Basket of Apples stamp!

Oh my gosh! This is so cute and it turned out WONDERFUL!!!!!! Love that basket of apples if I do say so myself! LOL
Hey Suzy!! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. Thank you for letting me share this stamp early and for giving away to stamps to my readers!! Your the best!
So glad you found this basket of apples. Perfectly shaded and colored too.
Hey Joyce!! Thank you so much for your comment.
Great card. So happy that stamp was in that set for you. I prefer to color with distress inks, either as watercolor or makers. I’ve taken some Copic classes, but I’m not very good at it yet. Need lots of practice.
Hey Pam!! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. I’ve used distress markers too but I’m not confident using them. I have to keep practicing. For Copics, just keep practicing.
Love the basket of apples. Crisp & Clean card, reminds me of fall. My favorite medium to work with would have to be watercolor. I’ve just started working with alcohol markers this part year so I’m not that great with them yet, so my fav tends toward the forgiving aspects of watercolors. Muted, blending colors, and there is just something therapeutic about sweeping color on paper with a brush.
Hey Teresa!! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. I love watercoloring too!!! I love how free flowing it is. I want to paint a picture some day!!
Hey, Kymona, I am so glad that your cute basket of apples SAVED the day for you!! Such a cute card and I must comment on your coloring – it is so good!! Love the way you added some sparkle to your card!! You just delight me!!! As for the medium I love to color with – well, that would have to be watercolor pencils and a blender pen. I think maybe the reason it is my favorite is because it is all I have!!! 🙂 Have a wonderful day!!!
Hey Taunya!! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. You always encourage me and push me onward. Thank you for staying in my corner.
Love your card! I only have colored pencils…I would love to try copics some day..
Hey Goldie!! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. Oh, you have to get a set of Copics! You will love them.
I love your card. The colouring is wonderful -I just began colouring stamps and it is not as easy as it looks-. The basket with apples is lovely and the text is great! Thank you for sharing.
Hey Louise!! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. Just keep trying and you will get better at coloring. I’m not where I want to be so I just keep practicing.
This is ADORABLE! Love your basket! And I love Copic and Spectrum Noir. Then again, it depends what I’m in the mood for…sometimes it may be a good ol’ Prismacolor colored pencil. 😉
Hey Shelly!! Thank you so much for your sweet comment. I don’t have any Spectrum’s. I would love to try them one day.
Love your take on the cue card, Kymona! This basket is so charming, and your Copic coloring is just beautiful! I love the subtle pattern on your background, too!
Hey Barb!! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment.
Great card, Kymona! I’m still looking for a basket in my stamp stash – but I really want to join CASology again this week.
I still love my small Promarker collection. I started with six of them, now I got around 30 and feel like a queen 🙂 And I’m practicing my watercolour skills… but I’m still bad at it 😀
Hugs, Jessa
Hey Jessa!! Thank you so much for wonderful comment. I don’t have Promarker’s. How do they work? Watercoloring is amazing too. I love how colors blend.
Love the apple basket! My new favorite medium is watercolor pencils. Love the look you get from them when blended with a water pen.
Hey Sue! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. I love watercolor pencils tooo!! The more I practice with them the more I love them.
