This week’s cue card:

Take a look at my card:

For this card, I decided to go with and actually icing die cut from a retired Top Dog Die die set.

  1. I dried emboss the front of the card stock with a retired Stampin Up! embossing folder.
  2. Then I used a retired Top Dog Die Cupcake die through my big shot.  I used a couple pieces of scrap paper for that.
  3. I adhered the cupcake to the card front using 3M foam tape.
  4. The I stamped Sweet Stamp Shop Birthday Sentiments on a piece of scrap paper, trimmed it and stapled it to the card front.

Nice and Easy.

CASology 136 – Basket and Giveaway!

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!! We are back again with another Cue Card for you!!

So this cue word seems easy, right?  Well not so easy.  I had nothing, nothing in my stash that screamed “Basket”.  I search all of my retired stamps and my new stamps that haven’t been touch yet and I couldn’t find anything with a basket.

Then I remember, the light bulb went off, I received some new stamps for an upcoming release from So Suzy Stamps and guess what stamp was in that package.  Yes, a basket of apples!!  I was super excited.  I’m still in the race with my fellow DT members!!

Take a look at my card:

You're A Good Apple2

Yes, this basket of apples saved the day for me.  To create this card was super easy minus the coloring.

1. I cut my card base to an A2 size card (4.25 x. 5.50). I cut a piece of Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather Patten Paper and adhered it to the front of my card base.

2. I used My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Rounded Rectangle STAX die to cut out a piece of white cardstock.

3. I stamped my image and colored it in with Copic Markers; W4, Y13, Y15, Y19, E31, E33, E35, E37, R22 R24 and N5.

4. I stamped my sentiment from Lawn Fawn Good Teacher stamp set.

5. I adhered the white panel to the front of my card base with foam adhesive.

6. I added some Clear Wink of Stella to my apples and belly ban on my basket.

That was it!  Nice and easy thanks to So Suzy Stamps!!  So since her basket of apples saved the day for me.

I’m doing a giveaway!!!!  Two lucky winners will win a pre-release Basket of Apples stamp!

All you have to do is leave a comment below letting me know which medium you prefer to color with.  You have until Monday, March 9th at 11:59 to leave a comment for a chance to win.

How to Create an Envelope Wrap in 5 Minutes & Giveaway

Imagine getting a beautiful card in a beautiful envelope.  Yes, a beautiful envelope.

How many times do we send out cards or even receive cards in plain white or colored envelopes.  No, one really thinks about creating an envelope to match the card inside.  I’m guilty of that myself.  I spend a lot of time on creating my cards, I don’t even thing about the envelopes that they are going in.

That’s why I’m so excited that Papertrey Ink has a great Make It Monday #163 challenge going on this week called Envelope Wraps!  This challenge has challenged me to really think about the envelopes I’m using to send my cards out in.

Making my envelope wrap was entertaining.  I changed my mind seven times on how I wanted my envelope to look.  I finally decided on the style I liked.

Wouldn’t you want to receive an envelope that looked like this?  I would. I probably wouldn’t open it for fear of missing it up.

How about creating this envelope wrap for your next envelope. I created a PDF for you view on how to re-create or create your own envelope wrap.

Click here for the PDF instruction on how to make your own envelope wrap.  Please let me know if this was helpful.

Giveaway time!!!!  I have an extra Wrapped Mailing Label Die from Simon Says Stamp that I am giving away.  Just leave a comment below by 11:59pm on May 11, 2014.  The winner will be randomly chosen and sent an email.
