Easy To Make Baby Bibs

Hello everyone! I’m here today after a bit of a break for some much-needed rest and relaxation, to show you some easy-to-make baby bibs!

Baby’s are so much fun to make things for. They are small in size and need so many different things to keep them clean, safe, and warm. Bibs help with all of that. They keep the spit up and food off of their clothes. That extra layer can keep them warm.

Let’s take a look at some baby bibs:

Now, tell me you don’t think these bibs aren’t cute. Perfect for a newborn baby.

Let’s take a look at this fabric collection:

Sleep Tight by Gabrielle Neil for Riley Blake Designs combines two different colors, mint and coral, with teddy bears, modern painterly textures, and highlights of sparkle. Totally beautiful. It comes with eighteen prints and two fabric panels.

Here’s how to create these bibs:

Sleep Tight Fabric
Terry Cloth
Aurifil White Thread
Dritz Pearl Snaps
Dritz Pearl Snaps Pliers
Pins
Cutting Mat
Ruler
Rotary Cutter

Step 1: Create your pattern template

Take a bib that you like and trace around it onto a piece of cardstock.

Cut that template out.

Step 2: Cut the fabric

Using that template, cut out 1 front panel from one of the prints from the Sleep Tight Fabric and 1 back panel from the terry cloth.

Step 3: Prepare the fabric for sewing

Place the pattern piece and the terry cloth right sides together and pin.

Leave a 4-inch hole at the bottom for turning.

Step 4: Sew the bib

Use a quarter-inch sewing machine foot, and sew a quarter inch seam allowance around the entire bib leaving the hole at the bottom.

Step 5: Turn the fabric

After sewing the bib together, turn the entire thing around and stitch up the opening using an edgestitch foot.

Step 6: Attach the pearl snap for closure

With the Dritz snap tool, attach the pearl snap to the bib flaps to have a pretty closure.

Nicely done! Very simple and easy to make.

Joann’s is my favorite place now to look for different pieces to scrapbook on. I found this super cute unfinished wood wall decor and knew this would be perfect for my next project.

Floral Flurries Washi Tape

My niece is growing up so fast and I wanted to capture her sleeping. This will hang in her room when I’m done.

Here’s how I created this Wooden Wall Scrapbook Panel:

Use Altenew Floral Flurries Washi Tape and cover the entire wood panel.

Use number 15 Penblade to accurately cut the washi tape off the edges and in the middle creases.

Once the washi tape is place down, its time to die cut Altenew Mega Hello die and the Altenew You Are Loved die.

Hello Mega Die

Attach each die cut word to foam die cut words for extra thickness.

Altenew July 2017 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello everyone and welcome to Altenew’s July 2017 Release Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing the all of the new Stamps, Dies and Inks.  If you’ve arrived here from the wonderfully talented Agnieszka Malyszek blog, then you are on the right track. If you arrived here on your own, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Card Blog so that you don’t miss a thing!

Take a look at my layout:

Altenew July 2017 blog hop

I truly love how this layout turned out.  I have to admit, when I sat down to create this page, I was clueless as to what I wanted to do.  I knew I wanted to use this photo of my sisters baby bump.  As I moved papers and embellishments around, it all came together.

For this layout, I used three of the new stamp sets, Altenew Baby Balloon, Little One and Extended Family.  I paired them with Altenew Reflection Scrapbook Collection.

Altenew July 2017 blog hop

My baby sister is having a baby and my entire family can not wait for her this little one to arrive. So I decided to dedicate a page to my sister.

To create this page:

  • I cut the white card base to 6 x 8 and rounded the corners using We R Memory Keepers Tab Punch Board.
  • Creating the title was the next step.  Using the Extended Family stamp set to cut out the word niece and adhere it to the title using the Brother ScanNCut.Altenew July 2017 blog hop
  • The onesie from Altenew Little One was a perfect addition to add to this page.
  • I didn’t have the die to cut these out so I used my Brother ScanNCut to cut out the onesies.
  • Spray each of the onesie with Altenew Frosty Pink Spray Ink and dry them.
  • Once they dried, punch a hole at the top and string the silver twine though the holes.
  • Adhere the twine to the back of the white card panel.
  • Adhere the photo onto the white card panel using foam dots.
  • Use Altenew Baby Balloon stamp set and stamp the sentiment at the bottom of the white card panel.Altenew July 2017 blog hop
  • Adhere the card panel onto the pattern paper using foam dots.
  • Cut some of the white flowers that come in the Reflection Scrapbook Collection and place them to the right side of the photo under the white card panel.Altenew July 2017 Blog Hop
  • To add balance to the page, stamp a sentiment from the Baby Balloon stamp set on the main scrapbook page, to the right of the photo.
  • To finish the page off, add enamel dots in random places on the layout.

Nothing to it!! So what do you think? I would love to hear from you.

CS Take It Make It: Take a Stamp Challenge Inspiration Photo

Second Post for today
If your looking for the YNS Sketch and Color Challenge, click here

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with CS Take It Make It Design Team for our CS Take It Make It: Take a Stamp Challenge Inspiration Photo.

Once again this month’s theme is Take a Stamp!!  That means take any stamp and create something, anything goes!! Now if that isn’t easy, I’m not sure what is!!

Take a look at my card:

Hello baby

Isn’t this happy hippo the cutest!! This stamp is from a new company to me called Uchi’s Design!! They are a clear stamps and craft company based in Florida.

I first met Luciana at CHA January 2016 and loved the stamp sets and dies.  We found each other on Instagram and was able to get my hands on this adorable set.

I created yet again an nice clean and simple card.  Here’s how:

  1. I used an A2 card size, 4.25 by 5.50 scored by 5.50.
  2. I stamped the hippo image from Uchi’s Design Happy Hippo stamp set using the Mini Misti and My Favorite Favorite Things Hybrid Ink since I’m going to use Copic Marker to color it.
  3. I used Copic Marker C1, C3, C5 for the hippo and BG11, BG13, BG15 for the balloon.
  4. I used Concord & 9th Sophisticated Script stamp set to stamp the sentiment.
  5. I used Ranger Glossy Accents to give the balloon some dimension.

Nice and easy, right?  What do you think?

Prizes:

We have two prizes to offer this month, the first is our sponsor prize. This winner will be chosen randomly from all of the entries in the challenge! The sponsor for May is: Designs By Georgina!
