{Clean and Simple} – Bud

Hello everyone!!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card:

Take a look at my card:

I’m so happy with this card!!  I love this Kitty Bee Design Flower For You Bunny.  This digital image is so stinking cute!!

I printed the image and used the ScanNCut to cut the image out. I used copic markers to color the flower in then added glossy accents in the center of the flower.

Before placing the image on the card front, add a couple of score lines to the bottom and the side of the card using a scoring tool.

The brightness in the photo hides the score lines on the side but they are there.

To add a sentiment, simple die cut Simon Says Stamp Big Hugs out of red card stock twice.  Adhere it to the card base using Tombow Mono Liquid Glue.

Adhere the bunny to the card base using 3M Foam Tape.

Nice, simple and easy.  What do you think?  Are you inspired to play along?  Please let me know below!

For this week’s cue card, I went with Lawn Fawn Scripty Hugs die and fun foam!! I used a scrap piece of watercolor paper and die cut the word hugs once. Then I die cut a piece of white fun foam three times.  I adhered them together and adhered them to the card front.  I used Altenew Celebrate stamp set to stamp the sentiment in black.

I rounded one corner of the card to finish it off.

Are you inspired to play along?  Please let me know below!

Summer Fun with Your Next Stamp!!

Hello everyone!!  Its Feature Week on the YNS blog this week and the theme is Summer Fun!!  I LOVE the summer!!  It is the best time of the year for me.  The weather is fantastic and I get to stay outside and grill!!  Perfect for me!!

This week the Design Team has been challenged to create a project that is all about summer fun.  I wanted to used the Zero Calories stamp but wasn’t sure what to do.  As I was sitting at my desk, a new youtube video popped up in my cue and it was Nichol sharing how she created a watercolor card using a set of popsicles.  I couldn’t believe it.   I watched it and said yes, she gave me an idea.

Take a look:

Happy Hugs (YNS)

Inside of creating a card, I decided to create a postcard that could go right in the mail.  I too decided to watercolor my popsicles. I used Tombow Dual Brush Markers Primary and Brights to watercolor.  I’ve never used them in this way before so this was fun.

I simple stamped the images with Versamark ink and covered them with Clearsnap Colorbox® white embossing powder.

Then I heat set it.

After that was set, I used Tombow’s Dual Brush Markers to watercolor the popsicles.

Then I let the postcard air dried before attaching the happy die cut.  I adhered that die cut with liquid glue.

Then I realized I didn’t watercolor the sticks, so I went back in and watercolored around the die cut.

I added the gumdrops and that was that.

This postcard is on it way to a friend.  I hope she likes it.

What do you think? Would you give this technique a try? I would love to hear from you below.

I’m all entering Virginia’s View Challenge!

CS Take It Make It: Take a Stamp Challenge Inspiration Photo

Second Post for today
If your looking for the YNS Sketch and Color Challenge, click here

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with CS Take It Make It Design Team for our CS Take It Make It: Take a Stamp Challenge Inspiration Photo.

Once again this month’s theme is Take a Stamp!!  That means take any stamp and create something, anything goes!! Now if that isn’t easy, I’m not sure what is!!

Take a look at my card:

Hello baby

Isn’t this happy hippo the cutest!! This stamp is from a new company to me called Uchi’s Design!! They are a clear stamps and craft company based in Florida.

I first met Luciana at CHA January 2016 and loved the stamp sets and dies.  We found each other on Instagram and was able to get my hands on this adorable set.

I created yet again an nice clean and simple card.  Here’s how:

  1. I used an A2 card size, 4.25 by 5.50 scored by 5.50.
  2. I stamped the hippo image from Uchi’s Design Happy Hippo stamp set using the Mini Misti and My Favorite Favorite Things Hybrid Ink since I’m going to use Copic Marker to color it.
  3. I used Copic Marker C1, C3, C5 for the hippo and BG11, BG13, BG15 for the balloon.
  4. I used Concord & 9th Sophisticated Script stamp set to stamp the sentiment.
  5. I used Ranger Glossy Accents to give the balloon some dimension.

Nice and easy, right?  What do you think?

Simple Stamping

Hello everyone!!  I’m over on So Suzy Stamps blog today!! I’m sharing how to create a Simple Stamping card!!

Sometimes we are on the go and just need a simple card that is created with much ease.

Take a look at my card:

Hope Hugs Kisses (SSS)

See how simple this card is!!

All I did was use My Favorite Things Stitched Strips die to create the background on the white cardstock.

Then using the Mini Misti, I stamped the Hope, Hugs, Kisses sentiment stamps all at once using Versamark Black Ink.

To add some color to this black and white card, I used Nuvo Crystal Drops Caribbean Ocean to add that interest.

Nice simple and easy.

Who Doesn’t Want A Hug?

I’m back again today with another card for Less is More Week 173.  Today’s card is very simple and clean!  I’ve combined my love of water-coloring and die-cutting to create my card.

For those of you who don’t know a couple of weeks ago I start a watercolor class and absolutely loved it.  Before, the class started we were instructed to practice using our “stuff” and I created a couple of single pieces.  I had hoped to use my pieces during the class but never did because I create other cards.  So, when Less is More decided that their recipe this week would be Die Cut, I knew I had to use this piece on my card. No need to throw anything away, especially a big Hug as pretty as this.

Hugs

I know I wanted to keep my card very simple because the watercolor image is so powerful by itself.

Hugs top view

I die cut out 4 hugs and attached them to my watercolor piece to create some dimension on the front of my card.

Side note: I’ve been working on improving my photograph.  The background of these pictures are a little dark but I like the effect.  It gives the card a warm feeling which is what I love in the words of Olaf, “I Love Warm Hugs“!!

So, what do you think? Do you like “Warm Hugs” too?

Let me know.
