Hello everyone!! It’s a new week, which means new Muse Challenge. I’m excited again because I was given honorable mention from the ladies over at the Muse Challenge for last weeks card!! I get all giggly when I see my name and card showcased. The winners and the other honorable mentions are talented women and I’m so happy for all of them.
So this week I’m back again with another card for this week Muse Challenge #71. Our Muse for this week is Therese Calvird. Stacking die cuts are what we are challenged to do.
Take a look at Therese’s card:
I love how she was able to match the lines in her background with the lines on her hello’s. Everything follows so nicely and it looks so pretty. I tried this same technique with my card.
Take a look at my card:
I created this card using all of the Stampin’ Up! in colors. I used Simon Says Stamps wide stripes stamp to created the background. I die cut 5 of the you’s and stacked them with a stamp you. I added the “you” to the background and aligned the colors on the you with the background for a seamless finished.
Here is a close up of the stacked” you”. I stamped the sentiment right under the you so that it looks natural. This technique was fun to do so I might try it again on another card.
Let me know what you think of my card.

Nice colors.. A miah and mom fave.
Thanks Erica and Miah!!
I love your stripes and how they go across the letters! So eye-catching!
Thank you so much Mandy for your kind comment!
Love the clean graphic feel of this! So glad you joined us at Muse this week!
Thank you Ardyth. I love your card to and would love to try creating letters that you have on your card.
What an absolutely fabulous card, I’m addicted to all things striped at the moment and have had my eye on this stamp…. maybe I really do ‘need’ it now lol.
Hello Therese!!! Thank you so much for stopping by. (I’m jumping up and down)
Yes, I love the strips too. They are fun to work with. That stamp set is a must have! It creates great backgrounds for any card.
I love your second card for this challenge. The red is hot!!!
Love your card! May I ask how you got the stamped You to line up with the stamped lines on card? thanks!!
Hey Billie! Thank you for stopping by and leaving such a nice comment. I’m excited that you asked! All I did was stamped the two stripes again on a smaller piece of cardstock and die cut that making sure the dips in the letters lined up with the edge of the yellow strip. Once I had the die cut, I stack a couple of you’s and placed it onto my card lining up those dips. Every easy!! I hope you give it a try! If you have any other questions, please let me know.
I love the color combination you did with your ink pads. You spaced out the bolder color of orange so it could be on the same card with purple….great idea! Very nicely done!
Hey Erika! Thank you for stopping by and leaving such a nice comment. To be honest about my colors I started with the colors I love the most out of this set of colors. I didn’t even realized that the two bold colors were at the opposite end. Great observation. I love your stars and stripes.
I love how your card turned out. Great combination of diecutting and stamping.
Tanja, thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I love your hello baby! I had to look twice! Your card followed nicely.
Very nice! Love the bold stripes and the sentiment too!
Thank you so much DebGem.
Kymona, I love what you’ve done with YOU!! Love the colors and your design is really awesome =]
Thanks Michele! Both of us has a thing for the “YOU”!!! This was a great challenge!
