CASology 150 – Graduation

Hello everyone!! It’s CASology Tuesday!! We are back with another Cue Card for you!!

I totally loved last week’s cue card.  That stamp is my favorite.  She is so full of detail and intense.  I hope you enjoyed it!

Now on to this weeks cue card:

Week 150 - Graduation

Now take a look at my card:

Graduation (CAS)

I love this wavy graduation card.  Graduations are suppose to be fun and exciting.

My son is graduating high school next year and I can’t wait.  We are going to have so much fun.  I can’t believe he is heading to college already.  I had him while I was in college so this has come full circle for me.  I’m so excited.

He is a great kid and I know he will do great things!!

Here is how I created this card:

1. I cute my card base to an A2 size card 5.50 by 4.25 scored at 5.5o.

2. I used My Favorite Things Die-namics Ride the Wave Die to cut the four waves out of Stampin’ Up! in colors cardstock.

3. I attached the two bottom waves first then I stamped my sentiment from My Favorite Things Wavy Greeting Stamp Set using My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink.

4. Then I adhered the next two waves.

5. I added Your Next Stamp Crystal Clear Gumdrops in random places.

Super Smooth!!!

Nothing to it!! I hope you join us this week!!

Thanks…

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with CAS(E) this sketch #90!  Today’s sketch was created by Chrissy Larson.

CTS_90

I’m also here with Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge.

wed-newchallenge-headerI’ve noticed recently that I’ve ordered stamp sets and do not use them.  So, I decided that I will start creating cards with stamps sets that I’ve never used.

So, today’s card was created with Papertrey Ink’s Fancy That stamp set.  I also wanted to use some cardstock that I haven’t used in a while.  So I decided on Stampin’ Up! new in color Blackberry Bliss and Lost Lagoon cardstock.

These two colors together really look so nice together.

Take a look at my card:

Thanks

Take a look at my rhinestones.  I colored them with the same colors that’s in the medallion.

Close up of the medallion

The colors in the medallion are Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey all from Stampin’ Up’s new in colors markers.

I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Thanks die from Lost Lagoon card stock 4 times for dimension.

Thanks medallion front

I cut white cardstock using Avery Elle’s Custom Panels Die to get that odd shape.

What do you think?

A Rainbow of “Butterflies”

Second post for today

Hello everyone! I’m back again with another post for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes!

For this card, I wanted to display Stampin’ Up! new In Colors and other products in a fun way.

Take a look:

A little something cute

I used Stampin’ Up!’s Elegant Butterfly Punch to punch out a butterfly from each of the new colors.

The sentiment comes from a new stamp set called Something To Say Wood Mount Stamp Set and I stamped it using the Lost Lagoon Ink.

I layered two different pieces of the new Moonlight DSP Stack on top of the Whisper White cardstock.

For the finishing touches, I added rhinestones to he butterflies.

Very easy to make.

So tell me, what do you think.

Fresh and Fun Stenciling..

Hello everyone! It’s Father’s Day!!  Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads out there and to the moms who do both job.  I’m one of those moms who play both roles.  So my kids take me out both days to celebrate, I love it!!

In any case , I’m here today playing along with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday’s Challenge. Their theme is Stencil It.

I used a Heidi Swapp stencil and Stampin’ Up!’s new in colors to create my card.

Take a look:

Way To Go

I love how the three colors I used blended together.  I’m really excited about Stampin’ Up!’s new in colors.  They are really great colors to work with.

You will see much more of these colors.

You Did It!!!!

Hello everyone!! Can you believe we are already in June!!  It was just January the other day!! Time is flying so fast.

If you were asked what you accomplished in the last 6 months what would your answer be?  Wow, for me it would be a lot.

Here is a short list from January to June:

  1. I traveled to Houston, Texas for Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference.
  2. I traveled to Rosemont, Illinois to become Copic certified.
  3. I entered a lot of blog challenges and have met a lot of wonderful people.
  4. I’ve taken a couple of Creative Live classes and LOVED them.
  5. I participated on my very first blog hop with some of my classmates from April Bowles Blogging Class.
  6. I won and received honorable mention from a couple of the card challenges I participated in.
  7. I traveled to Hanover, Maryland to take a Copic workshop class.
  8. Let’s not forget all of the mothering I’ve done in the last 6 months.

Those are big accomplishments for me so Congrats to me.  Speaking of Congrats, June is the month for graduations!  I love graduations.  My hat goes off to everyone graduating this year.  So making a card for this occasion was most fitting.

I’m playing along with Freshly Made Sketches today.  Here is a copy of their sketch:

This sketch was created by Linda C.

I love the stripes at the bottom of the sketch. I decided to use Stampin’ Up!’s new in colors for this card.

Take a look:

Woo-Hoo

So my soon to be sister-in-law, just graduated from law school and the WOO-HOO is for her!  I remember when she was applying to law school.  I can’t believe the time has passed so fast.  She is studying for the bar now so she is unreachable but I wanted to give her a shout out on my blog for a JOB WELL DONE!!

Can’t Get Enough Of Butterflies..

Hello everyone!  I’m so excited to be back again with another entry for Papertrey Ink’s Make it Monday #168: Baby Wipe Stamping.

Yesterday, I created an extra butterfly so I’m using that butterfly on my card today!  I paired my butterfly up with my new stamp set from Stampin’ Up! Work of Art and the new in colors.  Beautiful!!

You are a fabulous work of art

After viewing what others have done with their cards, I’m going to try some of my other stamps.  I thought you needed to have a coordinating die for this technique but my fellow card makers show me otherwise.

Who Doesn’t Want To Have Good Times..

Hello everyone! I’m back today with a card for CAS(E) this Sketch! #79. This sketch was created by Chrissy Larson.

CTS_Sketch_79

I just received my Stampin’ Up! shipment with a lot of goodies.  I wanted to showcase their new in colors.  I didn’t have time to actually do any water-coloring so I use a stamp set that would give that same type of look.

Good Times

I also used Papertrey Ink’s Splat stamp set to add the sentiment.  I am pleased with how my card turned out.

Are You One Of A Kind?

Hello everyone!  I’m back again today with another Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #168: Baby Wipe Stamping!!  I’m so excited about this Make It Monday.  Ashley taught us how to use baby wipes to do our multicolor stamping.  I had a blast with this technique today.

Take a look:

baby wipes and reinkers

First I added Stampin’ Up!’s new in colors to my baby wipe.  I randomly added the ink to the baby wipe.

teast sheet

I wanted to make sure my card looked a little different then Ashley’s, so I stamped my sentiment using the same baby wipe.  I used this piece of card stock as my scrap to make sure my stamps were inking up properly.  I love the colors on this butterfly and the sentiment.  Can you see how each stamp has different colors.  No two stamps are the same.

Closer look at my butterfly.  The colors are awesome!

Closer look at my sentiment. These colors are delicious.

I absolutely love how my card turned out. This was such a great technique to try.  The look reminds me of water-coloring, which everyone who knows me, knows I LOVE water-coloring.

What’s Popping, “YOU” Are!!!

Hello everyone!!  It’s a new week, which means new Muse Challenge.  I’m excited again because I was given honorable mention from the ladies over at the Muse Challenge for last weeks card!!  I get all giggly when I see my name and card showcased.   The winners and the other honorable mentions are talented women and I’m so happy for all of them.

So this week I’m back again with another card for this week Muse Challenge #71.  Our Muse for this week is Therese Calvird.  Stacking die cuts are what we are challenged to do.

Take a look at Therese’s card:

Hello

I love how she was able to match the lines in her background with the lines on her hello’s.  Everything follows so nicely and it looks so pretty.  I tried this same technique with my card.

Take a look at my card:

You are a true friend

I created this card using all of the Stampin’ Up! in colors.  I used Simon Says Stamps wide stripes stamp to created the background.  I die cut 5 of the you’s and stacked them with a stamp you.  I added the “you” to the background and aligned the colors on the you with the background for a seamless finished.

You are a true friend closeup

Here is a close up of the stacked” you”.  I stamped the sentiment right under the you so that it looks natural.  This technique was fun to do so I might try it again on another card.

Let me know what you think of my card.
