Your Next Stamp: Celebrating 10 Years!

Hello everyone!! I’m incredibly excited to be here today. Your Next Stamp is celebrating 10 years. As a former design team member, I feel honored to celebrate with them.

I’ve always loved their stamp sets, dies, and gumdrops (those are my favorite). Their new September release is nothing short of amazing. You will not be disappointed. The new release products will be available on the YNS Store on September 12, 2019.

Let’s take a look at what I created:

Gift pouches are always fun to make and also fun to receive. It was fun creating these from start to end.

You can fill these with money, gift cards, small necklaces, rings, bracelets, etc. Perfect with no gift wrapping needed.

Here’s how to create these gift pouches:

Gather your supplies. You will need:

Fabulous Feathers Stamp Set
Dancing Dragonflies Stamp Set
Linen-Cotton Canvas Fabric
Cork Fabric
Interfacing
Pearl Snaps
Snaps Pliers
VersaCraft Black Ink
BERNINA sewing machine

Here’s how to create it:

Preparing fabric:

Cut two pieces of linen-cotton canvas fabric to 13.5 x 4, rounding the ends.

Cut one piece of cork to 3 x 4, round the corners.

Cut one piece of interfacing to 11 x 4.

Preparing for sewing:

Fold the straight edge of the cork fabric 1/4 to hide the raw edges.

Clip the cork to the top of one piece of the linen-cotton canvas fabric.

Sewing:

Edgestitch the fold down 1/8 in.

On the back of this exterior piece, line the fusible fleece to the stitched line and iron in place.

Align the exterior and interior pieces, right side together.

Stitch around the entire pouch using a 1/4″ seam allowance, leaving a 3″ gap for turning.

Turn the piece inside out, push out the corners, and press.

Take the straight edge of the pouch and fold it up to the original stitch line and press.

Edgestitch all the way around. Backstitch at the top of the pouch on both sides.

Add the pearl snap using the pliers.

Stamping on the pouch:

Use VersaCraft Ink to stamp onto fabric.

Decide on the place of the design and stamp.

Super simple and easy.

Let’s take a closer look:

Let’s not forget the back of each pouch:

Decorting the back is important too. You can carry the design around to the back or completely change things up. Let your imagination sore!

So what do you think? Stamping doesn’t always have to be on cardstock. Stamping on fabric is just as easy.

Wait, the fun doesn’t stop here!

We have PRIZES for you!

Your Next Stamp will select the winning comments from the YNS blog and IG. One random comment from each preview day will win one of the products previewed on that day! All comments must be left by September 15, 2019, and the winner will be announced on September 17, 2019.

So what do you think? Would you give stamping on fabric a try? I would love to hear all about it.

Altenew August 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome to Altenew’s July 2019 Stencil Release Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing brand new stencils. If you arrived here from the talented blog, Caly Person, then you are on the right track. If this is your first stop, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Card Blog.

Take a look at my wooden gift bags:

Altenew Dot Art gift bag

Aren’t these wooden bags the cutest thing you’ve seen? When I saw them at my local craft store, I knew I want to create something with them. My sister came over and asked me to make two birthday gift bags for her coworkers. She bought them some jewelry and didn’t have a bag for them. I immediately pulled these wooden bags out of my stash.

Wonder Wycinanki stamp set

Stamping on them was a breeze, and the new Dot Art, and Wonderful Wycinanki worked perfectly. The dot-art design is light, airy, and very simple.

I also stamped the bottom of the wooden gift bag.

Wonderful Wycinanki

My sister was delighted with her packaging. I can’t wait to hear what her coworkers thought.

What is a blog hop without an amazing gift? Yayyy!!!

Take a look at what I created:

Growing Garden

I love when I have the opportunity to combine my love of stamping with my love of sewing.

I sewed this apron so that I could use Technique Tuesday Growing Garden to decorate it. I love how it turned out. I wish I photograph the sewing process but didn’t think of it until after I completed it. LOL!!

Let’s take a closer look:

No color was add because I wanted to stay with the black and white design.

Decorating the boarder with the growing plant stamp really made the boarder pop.

Growing Garden

I love how all of the stamps coordinate with one another. That made it easy to decorate each pocket.

Technique Tuesday July 2018 Release Countdown Day 1

Hello everyone!!! Today I’m showcasing one stamp set from Technique Tuesday July 2018 Release!! Yes, the summer has finally arrived here in NYC. I’m so excited about that. I love the warmer weather and this new release.

Let’s take a look:

Beautiful Dragonflies

Here’s how this card was created:

  1. Cut a piece of watercolor paper and tape it down to a study surface.
  2. Wet the paper with a lot of water.
  3. Decide on the colors you want to use from Prima Watercolor Confections Essence and add them to the wet watercolor paper loosely.
  4. Heat set the watercolor.
  5. Stamp the dragonflies from the new Beautiful Dragonflies stamp set in black ink. Do not stamp so hard. You want a faded look for parts of the dragonflies.
  6.  Stamp the sentiment using Embossing Ink.
  7. Sprinkle Antique Gold Embossing Powder over the stamped sentiment.
  8. Heat set that embossing powder.
  9. Adhere the watercolor panel to the card base.
  10. Use We R Memory Keepers 3-Way Corner Punch to round the corners.

Simple yet elegant!

Hello everyone!!! Technique Tuesday has a fabulous giveaway going on on their blog right now! They are showcasing their super cute farm animal stamp sets.

Here’s how I created this card:

Die cut the card base and circle using Papertrey Ink Noted Scalloped Square Die Collection.

Stamp the pig and sentiment using the MISTI.

Use Tombow’s Irojiten Colored Pencils, Rainforest to color the pig. I used Volume 1: P1 Orchid Pink and P2 Coral Pink.

Attach the circle die cut to the card base using 3M Foam Tape.

Do you want to participate in the giveaway? Here’s how:

How to Stamp on a Canvas Bag

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today to show you how to stamp on a canvas bag using Technique Tuesday Cherry Blossom stamp set!!

Let’s take a look:

Cherry Blossom Stamp Set

I love the simplicity of this stamp set and the way it looks on this canvas bag. Stamping this image was easy with the Memory MISTI.

Let me show you how:

Place the Canvas bag in the Memory MISTI at the bottom right hand corner.

Memory MISTI

Add magnets inside the bag so that the bag does not move in the process of stamping.

Memory MISTI Magnets

Place the stamp where you want the image to appear, close the MISTI door and the stamp will stick to the plate. Now the stamp is positioned in the right place each time you stamp.

Memory MISTI

Stamp the image using ink that is waterproof since paint will be applied to the image. I used Ranger Archival Jet Black Ink.

Now its time to add color to the image:

Now it’s to pick the paint.

I went with QoR watercolors because I could blend the colors in the small space.

Memory MISTI

Nice and easy.

What do you think? Will you try stamping on a canvas material? I would love to see what you create.
