Altenew April 2019 Washi Tape/Embossing Paste Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Altenew’s April 2019 Washi Tape/Embossing Paste Release Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing the new washi tape and embossing paste.  If you arrived here from the talented Alex Syberia blog, then you are on the right track. If you arrived here on your own, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Card Blog so that you don’t miss a thing!

Let’s take a look at my planner page:

Embossing Paste

I love decorating my planner with card making supplies. Altenew’s new Embossing Paste looks amazing on these pages.

Here’s how I created the two-tone color butterfly:

Embossing Paste

Scoop out a small amount of the embossing paste on a piece of disposable plastic (I used a zip bag, it was on my desk).

Then I added a small amount of color from the Puffy Heart Ink Spray and Sunkissed Metallic Shimmer Ink spray to the embossing paste and mixed it in.

Place the Flowing Butterfly Stencil where you want the image and apply the color paste evenly.

Gently pick up the stencil to see the image.

Embossing Paste

Stamp the sentiment from the Reason to Smile stamp set above and/or below the image.

Embossing Paste

Let’s take another look:

Embossing Paste

I also created a bookmark for my planner as well, using the same method as before.

Embossing Paste

Here’s a close up. Look at that texture and depth.

Altenew December 2018 Marker/Embellishments Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello everyone and welcome to Altenew’s December 2018 Release Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing all of the new markers and embellishments.  If you arrived here from the talented Gayatri Murali blog, then you are on the right track. If you arrived here on your own, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Card Blog so that you don’t miss a thing!

Take a look at my kraft scrapbook:

Super clean and simple kraft scrapbook is perfect for any occasion.

For the front of this scrapbook, I used the Sweet Hearts Adhesive Wood Veneers to create a simple title.

Take a look inside:

This scrapbook was created with several pieces of dessert storm cardstock and bind the book using the We R Memory Keepers Cinch.

I used dessert storm cardstock because its so neutral and matches with any color added to it. This allows the scrapbook to focus on different occasions within the year.

Green Fields Enamel Dots

One the first page, I created a pocket and a tag for my journaling. Its a private message to my niece. I tucked it away, so that others can view the pages but not the message upon opening it.

I decorated these page with the Green Fields Enamel Dots and the Butterfly Acetate Die Cuts.

Butterfly Acetate Die Cuts
I love adding texture behind my photos because it adds depth. Adding the date with the date stamp is a perfect way keep track of when events happen.

Guest Designing for Pink and Main + Giveaway

Hello everyone!!  I’m guest designing for Pink and Main today.  I’m super excited about this opportunity.

Here’s a sneak peek at one of the cards I created:

I used Pink and Main Inspire stamp set to create this multicolor butterfly card!  Those butterflies are perfect for multicolor stamping.  The stamp was shorter then the card size, so I stamped twice to have the butterflies stretch across the cardstock.

Stop on by Pink and Main’s blog today to see all of the other cards and projects I created.  I’m also doing a GIVEAWAY so you do not want to miss out on that.

Ink Blending – a2z Scrapbooking April 2017 Challenge

Second Post for Today
If your looking for Rubber Dance Stamp Challenge post, click here

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with a a2z Scrapbooking Challenge. The theme this month is Getting To Know You!!

Take a look at my card:

Here’s how I created this card:

For this card I masked off a portion of the card with post-it tape.

Then I used Distress Ink Wild Honey and Broken China and blended them together using the ink blending tool.

After that, I stamp the butterflies from Hero Arts Layering Butterflies stamp set using Versafine Onyx Black Ink, 3 times. Then I stamped the sentiment using the same ink.

Once that is complete, I added small white dots using a gelly roll pen to enhance the butterflies.

Clean and simple design!

What do you think? I would love to hear what you think below.

I hope you love what you see and that it inspires you to join us this month. You have the entire month to create a new project and enter it into our challenge. By entering you will have a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to the a2z Scrapbooking Store. Winner will be announced on the 7th of May.  Good Luck!

CASE a Designer – Where Creativity Meets C9

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with the Where Creativity Meets C9 Blog Challenge Design Team!! Our challenge this month is Love.

Take a look at my card:

I’m casing Diane Jaquay, take a look at her card:

The colors she used are so pretty, I had to try and copy it. Plus, watercoloring is my favorite type of medium to use.

To create my card:

  1. I used Concord & 9th Butterfly Beauty Stamp Set and Distress Ink Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade to create the multicolor butterflies.
  2. I used the mini ink pads and added the color randomly using both ink pads.
  3. Then I sprayed the stamp with water and stamped the card front.
  4. Once the butterflies dried, I stamped the butterfly body with Clearsnap Colorbox Archival Black Ink.
  5. After that, I die cut the sentiment grateful from Concord & 9th Grateful Leaf Die twice and adhered it to the card front.
  6. Then I stamped the rest of the sentiment using Concord & 9th Lace Leaf Stamp Set using Clearsnap Colorbox Archival Black Ink.

Nice and easy.

What do you think?  Please let know below.

I can’t wait to see how you interpret our challenge theme this month.

Embellishments – a2z Scrapbooking November 2016 Challenge

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with a a2z Scrapbooking Challenge. The theme this month is Embellishment!!embellishment

Take a look at my card:

img_7134

Using the layering stamp sets make it so easy to create beautiful images.  I used the guide that came with the stamp set and inked and stamped the images according to the guide. I started with the lighest color, then the middle color to the darker color.  Nice and easy.

I used a Copic Multiliner to create the dash lines to create movement after stamping the sentiment at the bottom of the card.

To finish the card off I added a rhinestone at the end of the sentiment.

I made two cards:

Super, super easy to create.

Clearly Planned Week and Custom Post-It Note

Hello everyone!!!  Today is the day for the big Clearly Planned Release!!

CpLogo-500x394

I have a lot to share so lets get started!

Full Planner Spread KT

My weekly pages need to be full of detail so that I don’t miss all of the important things I have to do each day.  Repeat stamping with the By Appointment stamp set allows me to see and remember the small task that can get lost during the day.  My favorite stamps set from this collection is the Sneak a Peek stamp set.  I love coloring those little animals.  They make my pages fun.

To see the entire Clearly Planned Collection, click here.

Here is a closer look:

First Page KT

I went with the color scheme of the pages, which was pink and black.  I added gold because it adds pop to the pages.  So I added washi tape to start off with.  Then I stamped the little animals from the Sneak a Peek stamp set to fill in some pages.  Coloring these images allowed me to bring in some my cardmaking skills to my planner pages.

Page Two.1 KT

Having a full time job, doesn’t allow me to do much during the week.  The weekend is where most of my action happens.  Its shameful that I only have two days.  For this page, you can see what I have to do around my house and with my children.

Let take a closer look at some of my own personal style:

Page Two.2 KT

Close up of Watercolor stamping KT

Watercoloring is my favorite medium to work with.  It is fun and free of judgment.  I created my own journaling card out of watercolor paper.  I stamped and embossed using the Makin’ a List stamp set. I love how it turned out.  It adds a piece of who I am to the pages.

Close up of a die cut KT

I created another watercolor panel to die cut some butterflies out to add to the pages as embellishments.

Closeup of extended stamp KT

For this cute giraffe for the Sneak a Peek stamp set, I extended the giraffe’s neck by masking what I already stamped and stamp only the neck again. Another card making technique.

Besides the new stamps and dies, the Clearly Planned line also has a collection called Sticky Situation. They are these super cute sticky notes that works well with the Makin’ a List stamp set. I absolutely love them.

Currently Post It by Kymona Tracey

I added the sticky note directly on my page to list out all of the things I need to do for the week using the same Makin’ a List stamp set.  Its a check list so as I complete the task I can check it off and move on to the next thing.

Currently Post It attached to page by Kymona Tracey

Since my list is long, it will take me a couple of days to complete these task so adding it to two days in my spread is awesome.  I can see what I have to do for those two days.  Also if I need to change or add to those days, I can lift the sticky note and write directly on the page.

I have to say for a newbie, I really love how my pages turned out!!  I’m impressed with myself and how pretty these blank pages turned out!!

Will you give this method of planning a try?  Let me know below.  Don’t forget to leave a comment below for a chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to the TE Store!
