Where Creativity Meets C9 Floral Challenge

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with my last Where Creativity Meets C9 Blog Challenge Design Team post!! I’m stepping down at the end of this month.  It’s been my pleasure to work with my teammates and Concord and 9th.

Now onto Our challenge this month which is Floral!!

Wow, my last challenge was a bit of a challenge for me. Florals aren’t my favorite because I’m never sure what to create with them. LOL!!  I made 4 cards before settling on this one.

Let’s take a look at my card:

Pineapple PerfectionI love how this card turned out. I used Concord & 9th Pineapple Perfection stamp set.

Here’s how I created this card:

  1. Use one of the small flowers and stamp it four times, along with the sentiment with Altenew Jet Black Ink.
  2. Color each flower with a different color using Tombow Recycled Color Pencils.
  3. To get the light color in the center of the flowers, use Tombow Sand Eraser to remove some of the color.
  4. Round each corner using We R Memory Keepers 3 Way Corner Punch.

Super, super easy.

Working with florals wasn’t so bad after all. The sentiment is my favorite, as I say to my fellow teammates: All the Best Friend!!

What do you think? Please let me know below.

I can’t wait to see how you interpret our challenge theme this month.

{Clean and Simple} – Marine

Hello everyone!! It’s CASology Tuesday!! We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

Before I share our new challenge, I wanted to say with a heavy heart, that this is my last challenge as a design team member. I’ve been a member of this amazing team for the past 3 years and loved every minute of it. CASology was the first challenge I joined when I started blogging back in 2014. Every week I played along. So when a DT call went out, I had to apply. I could not believe it when I received the email that I was chosen to be apart of this amazing team.  No pressure, just clean and simple cards.

I promise to continue to play along for fun!! Now onto our challenge this week.

Take a look at my cards:

For these cards, I used Tara Reed Designs Boat Life SVG.

Here’s how I created this card:

Download the images into Photoshop.

Using the rulers in the program and divide the cardstock to two 4.25 by 11, scored at 5.50.

Place the images on the bottom half of the cardstock.

Print on Neenah Solar White cardstock.

Cut a piece to 4.25 by 11, scored at 5.50.

Round the corners using We R Memory Keepers 3Way Corner Punch.

How to Create Texture Using a Die Cut

Hello everyone!! I’m here today to show you how to create texture using a die cut from Technique Tuesday By the Numbers Crafting Die.

Let’s take a look:

I love this By the Numbers die! It’s bold and full of space in between the numbers. Creating this card was simple.

Here’s how:

Simple die cut the numbers die 3 times out of white cardstock.

Then cut a 4th piece out of We R Memory Keepers Urban Chic patterned paper.  Adhere them all together using Tombow Mono Liquid Adhesive.

Cut the Neenah Solar White card base to 4.25 by 11 scored at 5.5.

Cut a second piece of the same Urban Chic patterned paper to 4.25 by 5.5 and adhere it to the top of the card base.

Line the die cut numbers strips with the stripes on the card base and adhere.

Beautiful texture!

To finish the card off, stamp the sentiment from Technique Tuesday Flowers For Mom stamp set inside using Versamark Ink.

Sprinkle Altenew Pure White Embossing Power on top and heat set it.

Flowers for mom stamp set

The font for this sentiment is my favorite.  It’s bouncy and playful.  It goes will with the front of the card.

Super quick and easy.

What do you think? Will you try adding some texture to your card front? I would love to see what you create!
