Hello everyone and welcome to So Suzy & Crackerbox Stamps Blog Hop!! Today we are celebrating their Birthday and Anniversary!!  If you arrived here from the talented Tracey McLennon’s blog, then you are on the right track. If you arrived here on your own, then you will want to start at the beginning, the So Suzy Stamps blog so that you don’t miss a thing!

I’m excited to be here, its like old times with the first So Suzy Stamps design team. That team created some solid friendships that I’m grateful for.

Take a look at my card:

Hello Friend

I decided to create a card that says hello to all of my So Suzy Stamps friends. It’s been a while since we all worked together!

Here’s how I create this card:

  1. Cut a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock to 4.25 by 11, scored at 5.50.
  2. Create score lines at the bottom (4) and the top (4) of the card front.
  3. Create one score line on the left and right side of the card.
  4. Using the MISTI, stamp the image and the sentiment.
  5. Add Wink of Stella to the image and the sentiment.
  6. Round the corners of the card using We R Memory Keepers 3 Way Corner Punch.

Nice and easy.

What is a blog hop without an amazing gift? Yayyy!!

I created a super clean and simple card for Suzy!!  The cardstock is cut to 4.5 x 7.5, scored at 4.5.  I stamped the Butterfly Music stamp using Clearsnap Colorbox Wicked Black Archival Ink.  Then I stamped the Guess What sentiment (retired) using the same ink.  On the inside of the card I stamped the sentiment bomdiggityshizzit and Happy Birthday (retired).  To finish the card off, I added a small pop of color to the butterfly using Tombow Irojiten Vivid Color Pencils.

Simple Stamping

Hello everyone!!  I’m over on So Suzy Stamps blog today!! I’m sharing how to create a Simple Stamping card!!

Sometimes we are on the go and just need a simple card that is created with much ease.

Take a look at my card:

Hope Hugs Kisses (SSS)

See how simple this card is!!

All I did was use My Favorite Things Stitched Strips die to create the background on the white cardstock.

Then using the Mini Misti, I stamped the Hope, Hugs, Kisses sentiment stamps all at once using Versamark Black Ink.

To add some color to this black and white card, I used Nuvo Crystal Drops Caribbean Ocean to add that interest.

Nice simple and easy.

What do you thing?  Please let me know below!

Simple Stenciling with So Suzy Stamps

Hello everyone!  I’m here with So Suzy Stamps.  This month the design team is doing a year in review and I was given the month of February to showcase.  Do you remember what stamps were released in February of this year?

No worries, I’m going to refresh your memory.  Starting with this Hello Friend Stamp set!! I’m going to show you how to combine simple stenciling with stamping.

Take a look at my card:

Hello Friend (SSS)

See, simple stenciling with stamping.  I used a retired Stampin’ Up! Stencils and Distress Inks Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Barn Door.  I took my time and blend the colors together from both directions.

Once the blending was complete, I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Black Ink.

I used the Nuvo Crystal Drops to create the black accented dots the the card front.

How fun was this!!

What do think? Please let me know below.

Now don’t forget to check out So Suzy Shop for all of her new goodies in her store.

Embossed Tulip Background

Hello everyone!!  I’m here with So Suzy Stamps and boy can I tell you, this months release is amazing.  I love all of the new stamps that’s being released today.

My favorite is the Tulip Background Stamp!! I had the privilege to see this stamp back in January while at CHA.  I couldn’t wait to get this stamp in my hand.

Take a look at my card:

You're Amazing (SSS)

What do you think of this stamp now that you’ve seen it in action? It’s so delicate and dainty!!

Here is how I created this card:

I stamped my image using a Misti and Versamark ink for full coverage.

Tulip Misit (SSS)

Then I added Hero Arts White embossing powder to the stamped image.

Embossed (SSS)

After that, I heat set the embossing powder. Making sure the embossing powered melted so that you don’t smudge the embossing powder on the card.

Tulips (SSS)

I created a watercolor panel using Prima Confection Watercolor.

Then I used my heat gun and heat set the watercolor panel.

After that I added the watercolor panel to the card  front using Stampin’ Up! Dimensionals.

I took a piece of vellum, stamped So Suzy Stamp Your Amazing Stamp Set and add it to the card front.

I used the two gumdrops to hid the glue.

What do you think?  Please let me know below. I had so much fun creating this card.

I’m entering this card into Darnell’s NBUS #6 Challenge.
