{Clean and Simple} CASology 209 – Watercolor

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card:

Week 209 - Watercolor

Take a look at my card:

Smile (CAS)

I love this weeks cue card.  I love watercoloring.  I get to play without worrying about messing up! Watercoloring never looks the same and that amazes me.

For this card, I stamped the feathers from Dark Room Door Feathers stamp set using Versamark ink.

Then I added Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and heat set it.

After that, I used Prima Water Soluble Oil Pastel Crayons to add color to the feathers for a watercolor resist look.

These pastels are amazing.  I love the colors and the smoothness of them.

Once the watercolor dried, I used Papertrey Ink Flower Mini stamp set to stamp the smile sentiment using Clearsnap Archival Wicked Black Ink.

For an added touch, I added Clear Wink of Stella on the sentiment.

So what do you think?  Will you be willing to give this a try?  Let me know below.  I can’t wait to see what you think and create.

Nice, simple and CAS!

PicTapGo-Image (24)

What an easy cue card this week.  My new stamps from Papier Projekt arrived just in time for this challenge.  I fell in love the feather border die stamp and thought this set was perfect for this challenge.

To create this card:

  1. I cut the cardstock down smaller then a A2 size card.
  2. Then I stamped the feather stamp four times starting with the darkest color Colorbox Envy Pigment ink to the lightest Colorbox Envy Pigment ink.
  3. After that I stamped the sentiment from the With Love stamp set using the darkest blue ink.

Perfect, right?

Nice and easy!

What do you think?  I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Hello everyone!!

I’m back again this week with another product that I missed seeing at CHA! Shocking 😱, right!

Watercolor

It’s the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry Colors Watercolor set! I was asked by Annette from Paper Pajamas to give these a try and my feedback!

Here it is:

1. There are 6 mica watercolor pans in this set.

2. The colors are Blue Gold, Rose Gold, Yellow Gold, Champagne Gold, Light Gold and White Gold.

3. Super duper creamy and shimmery!

4. The pigment are of high quality and when mixed together they are beautiful!

5. You can watercolor with them by them self, do calligraphy, brush lettering and you can mix them with the original Gansai set or any other watercolor set for that matter.

6. A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY.

So what do you think? I posted this card this morning and I also posted a video on IG using them 17 post back in my feed.

{Clean and Simple} CASology 196 – Move

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 196 - Move

Take a look at my card:

Hello Friend (CAS)

I have to be super doper honest with you!  I created this card a couple of weeks ago because I wanted to play with a new set of watercolors that I received called Gansai Tambi Starry Colors.

Not know what to do with the completed card, I just put it to the side and was going to use it for my Did You Know Series on Instagram.

Then I saw the cue card and said to myself, these feathers move when the when blow so why not use it. My son says mom I don’t see the correlation.  I tried to convince him, he just looked at me. LOL!!  I told him I’m going with it.

So here we are:

Creating this card was super cool.  The watercolor is so vibrant and pretty. I will talk more about them in my series that will go live this week.

All I did was stamp the Papertrey Ink What the Doodle Feather stamp set image using Versamark Ink and sprinkled Hero Arts White Embossing Powder.

Heat set.

Then I watercolored the Red Gold and the Yellow Gold into the feathers with little water.  The watercolor is so shimmer and creamy.  A little bit goes a long way.

Gansai Tambi

I used Mama Elephant Femme Frames to die cut the card front panel.  Then I adhered the panel to the card base using Fun Foam.

Super easy and beautiful!!

What do you think?  I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Lawnscaping Challenge: Dimension

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with the Lawnscaping Challenge.  I played along one or twice last year, so I’m happy to play along today.

Lawnscaping Challenge

The challenge this time is all about DIMENSION!  Adding pops of dimension to your project really add that wow factor to your projects.

Take a look at my card:

Hello

I’ve added plenty dimension to my card.

Here is how I created my card:

1. I cut my card to a 5 x 3.5 scored at 3.5.

2. I used Lawn Fawn Dream stamp set to stamp the small feather with Lawn Fawn Fake Tan Ink.

3. I cut a thin strip of Lawn Fawn Beachside Pattern Paper and adhered it over the stamped feathers. I also die cut the feathers from the same paper using the Lawn Fawn Dream Cuts.

4. I cut a thin strip of Stampin’ Up! Brushed Gold cardstock and adhered it on top of the pattern paper.

5. I adhered the feathers.

6. I die cut Lawn Fawn Scripty Hello four times and stacked them on top of each other.  I adhered the stacked die to the center of my card.

Super doper easy and I  like this card size.  I’m glad I tried it.

Wishing you were closer

These feathers are super fun to work with.  I love the detail on each feather! So you want to know how I created this card?

Here you go:

1. I cut a piece of watercolor paper down to 4.25 x 5.50 and taped it down to my work station.

2. I added a good amount of water to my watercolor paper.

3. Then I dropped Distress Inks Broken China and Evergreen Bough to my paper and let the color spread all over my paper.  I heat set it.  Then I sprayed water in my hand and drop some drops of water onto my paper to create blotches of white spots.
