Hello everyone!!!  I can’t believe its been 3 years since So Suzy Stamps showed up on my doorstep!!  The very first stamp that I order from So Suzy was the Confidence is Sexy Stamp.

I totally love all of these sentiments and having them on a bookmark is perfect!!  Who doesn’t need a little reminder everyone once in awhile.

All of these bookmarks were created with Papertrey Ink Tag Sale: Quilted Die and stamped with Stazon Jet Black Ink.

Lets take a closer look at each tag:

For this bookmark I used the Imagine stamp set and Kuretake Gansai Tambi Pearl Color  #762 (the blue color).

For this bookmark I used Stardust Dancing stamp set and Kuretake Gansai Tambi Pearl Color  #751 and #740 (the green and yellow color)

For this tag I used the Confidence is Sexy Stamp and Kuretake Gansai Tambi Pearl Color #734 and #762 (the red and blue color).

For this tag I used What if You Fly stamp set andKuretake Gansai Tambi Pearl Color #731 and #740 (peach and yellow color).

You’re The Best!

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with a great card for the a2z scrapbooking blog.

I was asked to work with a Hero Arts Digital set called Pretty Blossoms Digital!!  I had a lot of fun creating with this set.  I have to admit I do not use digital’s that often.  That’s because coloring with Copic markers have not been my strong suit.

I am committed to really becoming a Copic expert!!

So what do you think?

You're the best2

Stretch your Stamps 2: Day 1Homework

This is my second post for the day.

If your looking for the Create a Smile Guest Designer Search post click here.

Hello everyone!  My favorite online card classes are back in session and I’m super excited!  I love these classes.  I learn so much and met so many wonder crafters from all over the world.

SYS2

Stretch your Stamps 2 helps us look at our stamps in a whole new way!! The class started yesterday and I’ve learned a lot thus far.

For our first lesson, Kristina Werner taught us how to multilayer emboss resist with a regular background stamp.

For this lesson we used Hero Arts Highline Ironwork Background Stamp because it has a lot of detail that can be painted and repainted.

First we did a simple wash of watercolor, dried the complete background and then add another layer of watercolor to spot highlight the design.  This stamp works because the design is open and has lots of open spaces to paint.

Take a look at my watercolor piece when I was finished with it:

From this piece I created these cards:

Big Hug and Background

Big Hugs close up

Big You and Background Stamp

Big You whole card

I was able to make three cards with this one watercolor piece.  I really loved this technique.  I would have never thought to use this back ground stamp in this manner.

I’ve used this stamp before, take a look at this card.  You can clearly see the difference in the way the stamp was used.

I have two other techniques to try for this first lesson.  I’m going to try and post the assignments as I do them.  Please don’t hold me to that totally, things do come up.

Just A Little Word Of Encouragement

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with my first card for the a2z scrapbooking blog challenge as a design team member!!  I’m so excited to be here.

Today’s challenge theme is Encouragement!

This challenge will run from August 1 to August 31!  So you have an entire month to participate in this great challenge and a chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate to shop at the a2z scrapbooking store.

So with no further a due, here is my card that I created for this challenge kick off:

Don't Worry

To create such a colorful background, I inked up Hero Arts Highline Ironwork Background Stamp with Hero Arts Butter Bar, Pale Tomato and Tide Pool shadow ink.

I rounded the corners using my corner chomper.

I loved the background so much that I didn’t want it to be overshadowed by to much stamping so I decided to stamp the flower from Hero Arts Love Jar Stamp set to the far right of the background panel in Hero Arts Black Ink for contrast.

I stamped the flower twice to give it some extension.

My sentiment is from Mama Elephant’s True Friend Stamp set.  I stamped that in Hero Arts Black Ink as well for contrast.

I added Hero Arts Diamond Gemstones to the center of my flowers for an added embellishment.

I really love how my first card turned out.  I hope you like it as well.

Please let me know what you think!

Please join us over at a2z scrapbooking blog for the challenge and a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the a2z scrapbooking store.
