Hello everyone!!  I’m over on the a2z Scrapbooking blog today with a stenciling card: the clean and simple way!

Here is a sneak peek of the card I’m sharing today:

Friend you Inspire Me (a2z)1

When you think of Clean and Simple, please remember this formula:

Plenty of white space + a simple design that can be repeated with ease + little to no embellishment = Clean and Simple!

Please visit me over on the a2z Scrapbooking blog for the full card and tutorial.

Let me know what you think!  I hope you join us this month for our Clean and Simple challenge.

Thanks a Bunch…

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with a2z Scrapbooking with a fabulous “Thank You” card that combines two Hero Arts products, which is what our current challenge is all about!!

I’m using the same stamp sets that I used on my previous card that I created for a2z Scrapbooking which you can see here.

The difference with this card is I didn’t color the flower.  I colored the cardstock to match the ink I was using.  Take a look:

color cardstock with inkI do not believe that Hero Arts has cardstock to match their inks and I wanted my back panel to the ink I was using.  So, I used my ink pad and color the white card stock to create the color I needed.

Take a look at my card:

Thanks a Bunch

Doesn’t that matching panel look so pretty with the stamped flower edges?  So, there is another technique that I used on the flowers and the sentiment.  This might look familiar to many of you, yes, its the “Rock n’ Roll” technique.

With this technique, I stamped the flower with the lightest ink first and then rolled the edge of the stamp onto the dark ink, which creates a two-tone look.

So what do you think?  If you want the full tutorial, please visit a2z Scrapbooking blog for all of the details.

The items I used for my cards can all be found at the a2z Scrapbooking Store. If you would like to purchase any of the supplies I used please head on over to the store and use the coupon code KYMONA15 to get 15% off your purchase.

I hope my card gives you some inspiration to participate in our Current Challenge. It runs to the end of the month, which ends in a couple of days. So hurry and create!

The theme is Any Two Hero Arts Products. You have a chance to win a $25.00 gift card to the a2z Scrapbooking Store. Hope to see you there!

So now on to the fun!! I wanted to stay with a2z scrapbooking current theme of encouragement so I created a series of cards that boost encouragement.  I used Hero Arts Digital Artistic Circles!!  This set of circles are amazing!! They are a must have.

Artistic Circles

With that said, lets take a look at my cards:

Be Fearless

Be Fearless was colored with Copic Markers V04, B06, V12, and V17

Be Generous

Be Generous was created with Inktense color pencils Poppy Red, Apple Green, Sun Yellow and Tangerine

Be Strong

Be Strong was colored with Distress Ink Markers Peacock Feathers, Ripe Persimmon, Tumbled Glass and Squeezed Lemonade

Be Yourself

Be Yourself was created with Copic Markers B00, B04, B12 and B14

The Be Series

The “Be” Series!

So what do you think?  Its a must have digital set, right!! I totally agree!  These cards were so easy to create.

I created these card panels in Photoshop, but any photo editing software would work.

Artistic Circles MKT2.2I sized and resized each circle so that they were centered on each card panel.  That didn’t take long at all.  Once my placement was create I printed one sheet and cut my panels down to 4 x 5.25.

Then I colored each of the circles with different mediums and added Hero Arts Gems to the center of each circle.  I used each medium to color the gem.

To stay with the digital theme, I created each sentiment in Photoshop and cut them out, flagged them and added them to the front of the card.

I tied bakers twine around the card panel for more detail.  I added foam adhesive to back of each card panel and adhered that to the card base.

Easy as pie!!

Let me know what you think!!

If you would like any of the products that I used on this card please head on over to the a2z Scrapbooking store and use the coupon code KYMONA15 to get 15% off your entire purchase.

Just A Little Word Of Encouragement

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with my first card for the a2z scrapbooking blog challenge as a design team member!!  I’m so excited to be here.

Today’s challenge theme is Encouragement!

This challenge will run from August 1 to August 31!  So you have an entire month to participate in this great challenge and a chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate to shop at the a2z scrapbooking store.

So with no further a due, here is my card that I created for this challenge kick off:

Don't Worry

To create such a colorful background, I inked up Hero Arts Highline Ironwork Background Stamp with Hero Arts Butter Bar, Pale Tomato and Tide Pool shadow ink.

I rounded the corners using my corner chomper.

I loved the background so much that I didn’t want it to be overshadowed by to much stamping so I decided to stamp the flower from Hero Arts Love Jar Stamp set to the far right of the background panel in Hero Arts Black Ink for contrast.

I stamped the flower twice to give it some extension.

My sentiment is from Mama Elephant’s True Friend Stamp set.  I stamped that in Hero Arts Black Ink as well for contrast.

I added Hero Arts Diamond Gemstones to the center of my flowers for an added embellishment.

I really love how my first card turned out.  I hope you like it as well.

Please let me know what you think!

Please join us over at a2z scrapbooking blog for the challenge and a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the a2z scrapbooking store.
