Hero Arts Shaker Tag – a2z Scrapbooking December 2016 Challenge

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with a a2z Scrapbooking Challenge. The theme this month is Anything but a Card!!

Take a look at my tag:

Here is how I created this tag:

I gather all of my supplies needed to create a tag: Hero Arts Joyful Tiding Tag Set, Hero Arts Raspberry Ink, Hero Arts Black Ink, Lucy Abrams Ivory Sequin, We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool, We R Memory Keepers Photo Sleeves, and Tombow Mono Adhesive Plus, We R Memory Keepers Crop-a-dile and a ColorBox Art Dauber.

I die cut three tags so that I could stack them on top of each other. Then I used the sponge dauber to add some color using the Hero Arts Raspberry Jam Ink.

Once the top tag was inked to my liking, I adhered the two additional tags with Tombow Mono Adhesive Plus.

Once all of the pieces were in place, I used the Mini MISTI to stamp the sentiment on the tag.

Now the tag is ready to become a shaker.

I gathered all of the supplies need to create the shaker portion of the tag.

You need a We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool, We R Memory Keepers Fuseable Photo Sheets.

Place the finished tag inside the plastic and line the die up over it. Use Washi tape to hold it down. Then you want to glide the fuse tool around the die, sealing it.

Once you add the sequin is added inside, seal the top of the tag the same way you did the body of the tag.

Punch a hole using a We R Memory Keepers Crop-a-dile and string a piece of string.

Nice and easy! Super cool to create!

YNS Feature Day – Tags

YNS Feature Day – Favorite Technique

This month we are focusing on “Favorite Technique”!! The DT created projects related to the technique they love the most.

My favorite technique is creating shaker cards/tags. I love creating the shaker pockets. Its so much fun and relaxing.

YNS Supplies: SpookTacular Halloween Stamp Set, Scallop Circle Die Set,Happy Haunting Die Set

Other Supplies: Little Things Spider’s Web Sequin, Vellum, Clearsnap Colorbox Black Embossing Powder, We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool, We R Memory Keepers Fuseables Clear Sheets, Small safety pin, We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile, Black Ribbon, Versamark, Tombow Mono Adhesive

Creating this simple tag was super easy to do. I used the fuse tool to trace the outside of the scallop circle die to seal the edges, leaving a small opening. I die cut the ghost and added them plus the sequin inside the scallop fuseable sheet. After that I sealed the scalloped sheet. Then I used the Crop-A-Dile to punch a hole and added the ribbon.

Now its time to add the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink and sprinkled black embossing powder on top. I heat set it and adhered it to the front of the shaker pocket with Tombow Mono Adhesive.

Right At Home Spring Release Blog Hop

Hello everyone!! I’m excited to be here with you today to share some amazing projects created for the Home is Where the Heart is Blog Hop!! This is the design team second blog hop and we are delight to full you with inspiration.

The new Let Love Grow and Hoppy Easter stamp sets are so cute and playful. I used both to create my two tags.

I just love these little tags. They are perfect for any Spring/Easter gift.

Here’s how I created them:

To create the tag, I used My Favorite Things Die-namics Tag Builder Blueprints 4 and die cut them out of Recollections White Cardstock and My Favorite Things Homespun Gingham Paper Pack.
The images and sentiment were all stamped using the Mini Misti with My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink, Lawn Fawn Celery Stick and Lawn Fawn Sunflower. The bunny and eggs were colored with Faber-Castel Polychromos Pencils and Gamsol.

Tag 2 (RAH)

To create the shaker pocket, I used the fuse tool and the tag die to make sure the pocket fits neatly behind the outside die. For a full tutorial on how to do that please click here.
Once the pocket is ready, I added the clear Lily Flower Sequins and sealed it up.
All of the pieces were adhered together using 3M Foam tape.

The bunny and eggs were placed on the front of the bigger tag.
White twine was added to the top of the tag to finish it off.
