Technique Tuesday April 2018 Release Countdown Day 2

Hello everyone!!! Today I’m showcasing Technique Tuesday April 2018 Release!! Were you pleased with yesterday’s projects? Well let’s see what today holds.

Let’s take a look:

Grandma blessingsI love this Grandma Blessings stamp set because the sentiments are so true.  Grandma’s are truly a blessing and we don’t know how lucky we are to have them until they are gone.

I lost my grandmother last month so this set really hit home for me.  My grandmother spoiled us.  She was tough but she really loved us and made us laugh.

Since my grandmother isn’t here anymore, I decided to create a “postcard” card to send to my grandmother in heaven.  I will place it in her bible when no one is looking.

Here’s how this card was created:

Use Cricut Design Studio to create the card base.

Placed a piece of kraft board on a standard mat and run it through the Cricut Maker.

The Cricut Maker scores (with the scoring stylus) and draws the lines (with the midnight pen) on the card front.

Once the Cricut Maker finishes, peel the card front off of the mat.

Fold on the scored line.

Using the Mini MISTI, stamp a sentiment on the left side of the card using Versafine Black Onyx Ink.

Let that dry a bit.

Then stamp the flower stamp underneath the sentiment using ColorBox Crafter’s Berry Ink.

Super simple and easy card!

There’s more:

The Cricut Maker can cut out an envelope as well.

A simple butterfly stamp in the bottom right corner keeps the entire set CAS!!

Nicely done.

Let’s take a look:

Iris Clear Stamps

I love the beauty of this stamp set. Very simple and elegant. This set is called Iris.

Here’s how this card was created:

Cute a piece of Stratmore Bristol Smooth paper to 4.25 by 11, scored at 5.50.

Stamp the Iris and sentiment using Ranger Archival Black Ink.

Use Prima Watercolor Confection Essence set to watercolor the stamped image.

Once the watercolor dries, use a bigger brush to add a couple of ink splatters.

Nice and easy!!

Motion Crafts Spring Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello everyone and welcome to Motion Crafts Spring Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing the all of the new Stamps and Dies. If you arrived here from the talented Vicki Papaioannou blog, then you are on the right track. If you arrived here on your own, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Motion Craft Blog so that you don’t miss a thing!

Take a look at my motion card:

(please excuse the camera image in the photo, the reflection was hard to a get rid of)

Super cute card with that waving mouse!!

Here’s how I created this card:

Create the card base out of patterned paper.  I used some retired Gossamer Blue paper.

To create the give tag holder, use We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board and cut a piece of Gossamer Blue coordinating paper to 5-5/8 and follow the direction on how to create the envelope.

Use the rectangular die that comes with the Motion Craft Pull Slider die set to create the window.

Cut the animation grid to size to cover the open window.

Adhere it using Motion Craft craft tape. Its small enough to fit in small spaces and not show.

Decide which where the bottom of the tag holder will be. Place a piece of foam tape at the base of the holder to create a stop for the tag.

Cut the top small flaps off of the envelope. Close the back of the envelope using the same craft tape.

Use a circle punch to create a notch at the top of the holder so that the you can pull the tag out of the holder with ease.

To create the actual tag, die cut the Pull Slider die and use the long window negative as the tag.

With the help of the Mini MISTI, stamp the bear from the Sunshine stamp set using crisp black ink. If the stamp isn’t as vibrant, stamp again.

Punch a hole in the top of the tag and string a piece of ribbon for an easy pull tab.

Decorate the rest of the card using Gossamer Blue embellishments.

Nice and easy.

Let’s take another look:

Altenew March 2018 Stamp/Die Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello everyone and welcome to Altenew’s March 2018 Release Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing the all of the new Stamps and Dies.  If you arrived here from the talented Yoonsun Hur blog, then you are on the right track. If you arrived here on your own, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Card Blog so that you don’t miss a thing!

Take a look at my Framed Scrapbook:

Altenew Sincere Greetings

I’m always looking for ways to stretch my scrapbooking ideas and I love this one. I am totally tickled by this scrapbook frame.  Amber from Damasklove posted some great buys at Joann’s the other day on Instagram and it gave me some ideas. So I went to Joann’s, picked up this wooden panel and decided to create a scrapbook frame.

I ordered a pair of Crocs for the first time and thought it would be fun to playfully document them.  I’m going to wear these at work.

Here’s how I created this Scrapbook Frame:

Use Altenew Dotted Washi Tape to cover the bottom of the wood panel.

Then stamp hello from the Sincere Greeting stamp set around the border of the frame using Stazon black ink.

http://shrsl.com/u5d2

Print the pictures using Fujifilm Instax SP-3 and Fujifilm Instax Square Film.

Add the photos to the left side of the frame using foam tape.

Add the title using Altenew Our Family chipboard stickers.

Our Family Chipboard

Type or write the journaling and adhere it under the title.

Decorate the photos and frame with embellishments from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection and Our Family Scrapbook Collection.

Reflection Scrapbook Kit

So different, yet so effective. I love it!

Hello everyone!!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

Die cut Concord & 9th Yay Die using Altenew Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine to cut a piece of Thermoweb PeelnStick Toner Sheet and a piece of fun foam.

Deco Foil PeelnStick Toner Sheets

Then place a piece of Thermoweb Deco Foil Jada on top of the PeelnStick Toner Sheet and use the Cricut Easy Press (setting: temp 295 , time 15 sec) to attach the foil to the toner sheet.

How to Stamp on a Canvas Bag

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today to show you how to stamp on a canvas bag using Technique Tuesday Cherry Blossom stamp set!!

Let’s take a look:

Cherry Blossom Stamp Set

I love the simplicity of this stamp set and the way it looks on this canvas bag. Stamping this image was easy with the Memory MISTI.

Let me show you how:

Place the Canvas bag in the Memory MISTI at the bottom right hand corner.

Memory MISTI

Add magnets inside the bag so that the bag does not move in the process of stamping.

Memory MISTI Magnets

Place the stamp where you want the image to appear, close the MISTI door and the stamp will stick to the plate. Now the stamp is positioned in the right place each time you stamp.

Memory MISTI

Stamp the image using ink that is waterproof since paint will be applied to the image. I used Ranger Archival Jet Black Ink.

Now its time to add color to the image:

Now it’s to pick the paint.

I went with QoR watercolors because I could blend the colors in the small space.

Memory MISTI

Nice and easy.

What do you think? Will you try stamping on a canvas material? I would love to see what you create.

Celebrating National Children’s Craft Day with Deflecto’s Caddy + Giveaway

Hello everyone!! I’m super excited about today because its National Children’s Craft Day and for those of you how know me, knows how much I love crafting with my little ladies!!

Today we are going to show you how we craft using our Deflecto Stackable Caddy Organizer!  My little ladies love them for several reason!!

Here’s why:

Deflecto Stackable Caddy Organizer

  1. The caddy’s are clear so my little ladies and I can see what we need without opening the containers.
  2. The containers come in different sizes so each one of my nieces can store different types of craft supplies.
  3. All of the containers are removable, which allows them to move around the table or the house with carrying the entire caddy.
  4.  Personalizing the caddy with labels or decorating them with embellishments is easy and fun.
  5. Each caddy stacks on top of each other neatly and locks in place.
  6.  With the wheel bass add, we can travel with all of them together safe and securely.

Let’s take a look:

My daughter, nieces and I craft every weekend. They are always heading straight for my good craft supplies so I had to get them their own goodies. Starting with a Deflecto Stackable Caddy.

That way they could store all of their stuff in one place.

Stackable Caddy Organizer

My niece decided to use her caddy to store all of her lego pieces.  She stored the pieces in each of the containers based on the community’s name. She loves opening and closing each container. The sound it makes, makes her laugh.

stackable caddy

Using scrapbooking supplies, she decorated her caddy with flowers, hearts, butterflies and wood veneer.

stackable caddy

My daughter wanted a place to store all of her stamping supplies.  She use to keep them in her desk draw but need the space for her school work so the caddy came in handy for her.

deflecto caddy organizer

She decided not to decorate her caddy. Being able to see into it from the top and sides works for her.

deflecto stackable caddy

My older niece loves working with scrapbook embellishments. Stickers, tags, wood veneer, pens and color pencils in her planner.

deflecto caddy organizer

This little lady was particular in decorating her caddy. All of the pieces need to match. She took her time decorating. She adhered all of the die cut pieces with her new hot glue gun. She couldn’t wait to use it, LOL!!

deflecto caddy organizer

One of my caddies is full of sewing notions. I’ve accumulate a lot of sewing gadgets and needed a storage option that is portable.

So every weekend my living room looks like this. I recently bought a huge sew table and it perfect for all 4 of us to craft and not get in the way of each other.

When we our crafting time comes to an end, we stack the caddies together and attach the wheel base.

deflecto stackable caddy

This portable stackable caddy system sits nice and neat in a corner of my craft room.

So what do you think? What would you store in your caddy? Would you use it at home mostly or on the go. I would love to hear.

Guess what!!!  Giveaway Time!!

I’m giving away a Deflecto Stackable Caddy Organizer to ONE lucky winner!!  Please leave a comment below telling us what you would store in your caddy if you won by Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 11:59pm EST.  The winner will be announced on Tuesday, March 20th, 2018.
