Your Next Stamp: Celebrating 10 Years!

Hello everyone!! I’m incredibly excited to be here today. Your Next Stamp is celebrating 10 years. As a former design team member, I feel honored to celebrate with them.

I’ve always loved their stamp sets, dies, and gumdrops (those are my favorite). Their new September release is nothing short of amazing. You will not be disappointed. The new release products will be available on the YNS Store on September 12, 2019.

Let’s take a look at what I created:

Gift pouches are always fun to make and also fun to receive. It was fun creating these from start to end.

You can fill these with money, gift cards, small necklaces, rings, bracelets, etc. Perfect with no gift wrapping needed.

Here’s how to create these gift pouches:

Gather your supplies. You will need:

Fabulous Feathers Stamp Set
Dancing Dragonflies Stamp Set
Linen-Cotton Canvas Fabric
Cork Fabric
Interfacing
Pearl Snaps
Snaps Pliers
VersaCraft Black Ink
BERNINA sewing machine

Here’s how to create it:

Preparing fabric:

Cut two pieces of linen-cotton canvas fabric to 13.5 x 4, rounding the ends.

Cut one piece of cork to 3 x 4, round the corners.

Cut one piece of interfacing to 11 x 4.

Preparing for sewing:

Fold the straight edge of the cork fabric 1/4 to hide the raw edges.

Clip the cork to the top of one piece of the linen-cotton canvas fabric.

Sewing:

Edgestitch the fold down 1/8 in.

On the back of this exterior piece, line the fusible fleece to the stitched line and iron in place.

Align the exterior and interior pieces, right side together.

Stitch around the entire pouch using a 1/4″ seam allowance, leaving a 3″ gap for turning.

Turn the piece inside out, push out the corners, and press.

Take the straight edge of the pouch and fold it up to the original stitch line and press.

Edgestitch all the way around. Backstitch at the top of the pouch on both sides.

Add the pearl snap using the pliers.

Stamping on the pouch:

Use VersaCraft Ink to stamp onto fabric.

Decide on the place of the design and stamp.

Super simple and easy.

Let’s take a closer look:

Let’s not forget the back of each pouch:

Decorting the back is important too. You can carry the design around to the back or completely change things up. Let your imagination sore!

So what do you think? Stamping doesn’t always have to be on cardstock. Stamping on fabric is just as easy.

Wait, the fun doesn’t stop here!

We have PRIZES for you!

Your Next Stamp will select the winning comments from the YNS blog and IG. One random comment from each preview day will win one of the products previewed on that day! All comments must be left by September 15, 2019, and the winner will be announced on September 17, 2019.

So what do you think? Would you give stamping on fabric a try? I would love to hear all about it.

YNS Supplies: Scallop Topped Treat Bag, Happy Haunting Die Set

Other Supplies: Stampin’ Up! Witches Brew Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla Cardstock

My daughter and I wanted to make some cute packages for her classmates for Halloween. So we used Your Next Stamp Scallop Topped Treat Bag and cut 25 bags out of some halloween pattern paper.

We scored, folded and taped the paper together to create the bag. Once the bag was put together, we added the candy to it. Then we used the Happy Haunting Die to cut out the ghost from Very Vanilla cardstock.

Each child’s name will be added to the ghost and then adhered to each bag.

Super nice and easy.  All of our halloween treats are ready to go.

Thanks for stopping by!!

YNS Birthday Project Showcase

Hello everyone!!  How are you enjoying Your Next Stamp month long Birthday Celebration?  I hope your having a blast!

This week the design team is is doing something special.  We are showcasing all different types of birthday projects!!  To see my fellow design team members work, head on over to the YNS Blog.

My daughter’s birthday is coming up so fast.  She will be 10 in a couple of weeks so we are getting ready for her big birthday.  So I decided to make a couple of favors for her friends.

Take a look:

HB2U (YNS) copy

YNS Supplies: Bookmark/Tag Die Set, Swirly Fun Paper Pack, Happy Birthday YNS 2016

Other Supplies: Tombow Extreme Adhesive, Mini Misti, Hole Puncher, Brads, Fiskars Paper Crimper

Do you remember those sour cream packets?  Yes, I’m bringing them back again, LOL.  She is to young to know what these were used for in the past, so this will be fun when her friends get there hands on these.

Tell me these are the cutest favors you’ve seen today!!

Here’s how I created these:

  • I used the full sheet of pattern paper, which is 4.25 x 5.50.
  • Add the strong adhesive to the backside of the paper, only on three sides.
  • Then I took my time and roll the paper to met the long strip of adhesive on the other side.
  • After that, pinch one end together.
  • Fill the pouch with goodies.
  • Now close the open end opposite of how you closed the bottom end.  If you close them the same way, you will create a pouch that looks like the dark pink one, flat.

That’s it.  Nice, easy and perfect to repeat over and over.

Guess what!!

At the end of the week YNS is giving away a stamp set to one lucky person who leaves a comment on the YNS Blog.  The more days you comment on, the greater your odds of winning.  You have until Saturday, August 20th to leave all of your comments.  The winner will be announced on Monday, August 22nd.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Summer Fun with Your Next Stamp!!

Hello everyone!!  Its Feature Week on the YNS blog this week and the theme is Summer Fun!!  I LOVE the summer!!  It is the best time of the year for me.  The weather is fantastic and I get to stay outside and grill!!  Perfect for me!!

This week the Design Team has been challenged to create a project that is all about summer fun.  I wanted to used the Zero Calories stamp but wasn’t sure what to do.  As I was sitting at my desk, a new youtube video popped up in my cue and it was Nichol sharing how she created a watercolor card using a set of popsicles.  I couldn’t believe it.   I watched it and said yes, she gave me an idea.

Take a look:

Happy Hugs (YNS)

Inside of creating a card, I decided to create a postcard that could go right in the mail.  I too decided to watercolor my popsicles. I used Tombow Dual Brush Markers Primary and Brights to watercolor.  I’ve never used them in this way before so this was fun.

I simple stamped the images with Versamark ink and covered them with Clearsnap Colorbox® white embossing powder.

Then I heat set it.

After that was set, I used Tombow’s Dual Brush Markers to watercolor the popsicles.

Then I let the postcard air dried before attaching the happy die cut.  I adhered that die cut with liquid glue.

Then I realized I didn’t watercolor the sticks, so I went back in and watercolored around the die cut.

I added the gumdrops and that was that.

This postcard is on it way to a friend.  I hope she likes it.

What do you think? Would you give this technique a try? I would love to hear from you below.

I’m all entering Virginia’s View Challenge!

Teachers gifts (YNS)

I think these little boxes are the cutes thing.  They are even easier to create.

Here’s how:

  1. Use Stampin’ UP! Baker’s Box Thinlits Die to cut out two pieces out of Neenah Desert Storm card stock.
  2. Assembly the box according to the score lines.
  3. For box 1: Cut out 2×2 square pieces of pattern paper and adhere it to the four panels of the box.
  4. For box 2: Cut 13inches of ribbon and wrap it around the box, adhering it at the bottom of the box.
  5. For both boxes: Stamp the sentiment from Learning is Fun and the sentiment from Spectacular Teacher onto black card stock.  Sprinkle with white embossing powder and heat set.
  6. Die cut each tag out and adhere them to the box using foam tape.
  7. Close Box 1 by string ribbon through the holes.

Nice and easy.  What do you think? What are you creating for the teachers in your life?  Please let me know below.
