Hello everyone!! I’m here today to help celebrate Karen, the owner of Your Next Stamps Birthday!!

She is turning 40 which is an awesome ago!! It means she is old enough to know what people think doesn’t matter and young enough to still be cool with to her kids!! At least that is how I felt when I turned 40 back in April!!

Happy Birthday To Me!!

Yes, today is my birthday!!! I’m super excited!!

I made a couple of cards for myself!!

LOL, for myself (shaking my head)!!

I used the candle stamp and watercolor resist to create this card.

I wonder if my cake will be pink and purple?

I used the balloon and the largest sentiment stamp to create this card.

The sentiment comes scratchy and I like it.

I created a stencil with Your Next Stamp Stripe-tastic Circle Die and the rest of the sentiment stamps from Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit.

Nothing fancy or perfect but its for me!!

What will I do today?

I am going to craft and take my kids out to dinner later this evening.

I hope I can get some rest too, we will see!

SSS Wednesday Blog Challenge – Happy Birthday Card 2

I’m back with another card for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Blog Challenge.

I’ve been watching a lot of videos on using watercolor on cards and I love how it looks. So I decided to try the technique myself.

Take a look:

The die cut balloon is what I used the watercolor technique on. For my first try, I think I did an OK job.

As I look at the card, I realized that the background on the card is competing with the balloon image. It might look better if the card base was blank, then the balloon image would really stand out on its own. All in all, this was a learning experience for me.
