Creating Shaker Cards with Queen & Co.

Hello everyone!! I’m happy to be here today to share some super cute shaker cards from Queen & Co. with you.

Queen & Co.

It’s been a long time since I created shaker cards, so this was so much fun to do. Once I started I couldn’t stop. I love that type of crafting. The ideas just flow because the company made it that easy for me.

Let’s take a look at the cards I created:

Fruit Basket Kit

I told you once I started I couldn’t just make one card. I had to make three. I used the Fruit Basket Kit for all of the cards created.

The kit contains:

(9) Fruit Theme Dies

(1) 6×6 Paper Pad with 24 sheets

(3) Yards of Twine

(15) Coordinating Foam Fruit Shapes with Acetate

Droplet Stickers (Watermelon Seeds)

Exclusive Fruit Toppings

Exclusive Sentiment Stamp Set

Epoxy Dot Stickers

With all of these goodies, you can make 15 of cards from one kit. Very cost effective.

Let’s take an individual look at them:

Lemon Card

I have to admit, my favorite of the three, is the lemon card. It’s so cute and I was able to make a clutch bag to go with it.

Fruit Basket Kit

I love the look of the lemons. They are fun and bright. They just cheer up a dull room. Plus, I love the taste of them.

My plan is to send this bag and card to my dear friend Wanda! She is amazing and is so deserving of a thank you!

Let’s zoom in:

Fruit Basket Kit

Did you see the lemon shaker pieces? I love them!!

Creating this card and the others was easy because Queen & Co kit their products with everything you need to create this card.

Strawberry Card

Fruit Basket Kit

Delicious!! I love the mix and match of the colors and the patten paper. The pattern paper included in the kit is double sided so it easy to mix and match the different pattens by color.

Fruit Basket Kit

Take a look at the tiny strawberry shakers/toppings. Aren’t they cutes? They make me want to eat strawberries right now.

Apple card

This apple card is perfect for teachers. Teachers would love this fun interactive card.

Fruit Basket Kit

The sentiment stamp set in this kit is fabulous. All of the sentiments are fun-loving. They match perfectly with each fruit.

Again, the shaker pieces just adds to the beauty of the card.

So what do you think? Will you give Queen & Co. a try? How about creating some shaker cards for your next project. Let me know.

Snowy Ornament: CS Take It Make It Challenge

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with CS Take It Make It Design Team for our CS Take It Make It: Take a Stamp Challenge for the month of December.

I’m so sad to say that this is my last post as a CS Take It Make It Design Team member.  I want to thank Trish for the opportunity to be apart of this amazing design team since 2014!! This was one of my very first design teams and I’ve had a blast. It was a hard decision to step down but it’s time for me to focus on other things.

I hope all of you continue to play along with this challenge because its super fun. I will participate from time to time when I can.  Maybe I could win one of those fabulous prizes, LOL!!!

Well enough of this mushy talk, let’s get on with the challenge!

This month’s theme is Snow and Ice!!  Create a seasonal project or use lots of white products!  Think gesso, embossing paste, white paint, embossing powders and glitters. Just remember to include a rubber/polymer stamping on your project somehow, somewhere!!

Take a look at my card:

snow-ornament

I went with some white and some snow!!  This WPlus9 Merry Ornament Shaker Die is so super cute and fun to play with.

To create this card, I die cute the shape out of the white cardstock. Then I used We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool and We R Memory Keepers 4 x 6 Waterfall Photo Sleeves to create the shaker pocket. I added some Stampendous Shaved Ice into the pocket.  Then I added 3M Foam tape around the shaker pocket and to the perimeters of the white panel. I attached the white panel to the red card base to finish the card off.

Where is my stamping you ask?  It’s on the inside of my card.  The front was so pretty, I just couldn’t stamp on it so I added my stamping to the inside of my card!!

Take a look:

merry-christmas-inside-timi

I used Mama Elephant Jingle Greetings Stamp set for the inside of the card.

Nice and easy!

Sooooo, what do you think? Please let me know below.

Prizes:

We have two prizes to offer this month, the first is our sponsor prize. This winner will be chosen randomly from all of the entries in the challenge! The sponsor for December is: Craft Box!

  2. Then stamp the Mama Elephant Hello Friend sentiment with Versamark Ink.
  3. Cover the stamped image with Colorbox White Embossing Powder and heat set.
  4. Cut the frame out of black heavyweight cardstock using Mama Elephant Framed Tags – Park Avenue – Creative Cuts.
  5. Using the We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool, the We Re Memory Keepers Photo Sleeves and the Mama Elephant die to create the shaker pocket.  For the full tutorial, check out his post.
  6. Before sealing the shaker pocket fill it with Little Things Crystal Sparkly from Lucy’s Cards.

Home Is Where the Heart Is Blog Hop // Right at Home January Release!!

Hello everyone!!  I’m excited to be here with you today to share some amazing projects created for the Home is Where the Heart is Blog Hop!!  This is the design team first blog hop so you know we are full of delight.

home-is-where-the-heart-is-blog-hop-graphic

So without further ado, here are the cards I created for all of you:

Love youThis card was created with the Kiss Kiss stamp set!!

Here’s how I created this card:

Stamped hearts (RAH)

Cut Hearts (RAH)

  • Once the hearts dried, I stamped the small sentiments in the middle of each heart.
  • Then the sentiment was also stamped and then cut out using the Brother Scan and Cut.
  • The sentiment was adhered first using 3m foam tape.  I double the tape so that it stands higher then the hearts.
  • Once the sentiment was in place, it was easy to place the hearts behind it.
  • A few rhinestones were added and Clear Wink of Stella to finish the card off.

Super cool card for valentines day.  The person receiving this card would totally feel love!!

So what do you think? Are you ready for card number two?

Here you go:

Sweetheart be mine 3 (RAH)

I love how this card turned out!!  Shakers cards are my favorite, so how could I not create one for this hope!!

Check out the matching envelope:

Front:

Sweetheart be mine 2 (RAH)

Back:

Sweetheart be mine (RAH)

I have to say, I love how this card turned out. I’m excited about this one.

Here is how I created it:

  • The card base was cut to a standard size A2 card.
  • The retired Stampin’ Up! DSP is the first card panel that was cut to the same size as the card base 4.25 by 5.50. It was adhered to the card base with Plus tape.
  • The outer card panel was cut to 3.25 by 5.50.
  • I stamped the sentiment from the Kiss Kiss stamp set using Versafine Black Ink.
  • Then I embossed the card panel with the retired Stampin’ Up! Polka Dots embossing folder.
  • I used My Favorite Things Die-namics Pierced Heart STAX to cut out a heart in the front card panel and then to cut a separate heart out of black cardstock.
  • I created a heart shaker pocket to go behind the die card card panel. To see how I created the shaker pocket check out this post. I used the exclusive RAH and Pretty Pink Posh XOXO sequin mix for the shaker pocket.
  • Before adding the shaker pocket, I adhered the black die cut onto the card base right where the shaker pocket will be.
  • I adhered the shaker pocket to the back of the red card panel. I added pieces of foam tape onto the panel and then adhered it to the card base.
  • The envelope was created using We R Memory Keepers Envelop Punch Board.
  • I used Right At Home Sending Love stamp set to stamp my sentiments on the envelope.

So tell me what you think?  I can’t wait to hear what you think of these creations!!

Guess what?  I have another card created using the Kiss Kiss stamp set.  That card will go live in a few hours so stay tune if your on the fence about these stamp sets!!

Now onto my super cool and talented design team member Holly to see what she has in store for you!!  You will not be disappointed!!
