Tulip on the Border Crafting Die

Let’s look at today’s bookmark:

Yes, the Tulip on the Border die creates beautiful borders on cards, but it also creates great bookmarks.

Here’s how this bookmark was created:

Die cut the Tulip on the Border die out of the Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper.

Decide on the size of the bookmark and cut it down to size.

Use Distress Ink Mowed Lawn and Picked Raspberry to blend colors on the tulip and stem.

Stamp the sentiment from Flowers for Her stamp set using Versafine Black Ink.

Cut a piece of plastic and use We R Memory Keepers Fuse tool to seal the ends.

Add some sequin and close the top of the bookmark.

Punch a hole at the t0p and add ribbon a piece of ribbon.

Super cute!!

Second Post for Today
If your looking for Rubber Dance Stamp Challenge post, click here

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with a a2z Scrapbooking Challenge. The theme this month is Getting To Know You!!

Take a look at my card:

Here’s how I created this card:

For this card I masked off a portion of the card with post-it tape.

Then I used Distress Ink Wild Honey and Broken China and blended them together using the ink blending tool.

After that, I stamp the butterflies from Hero Arts Layering Butterflies stamp set using Versafine Onyx Black Ink, 3 times. Then I stamped the sentiment using the same ink.

Once that is complete, I added small white dots using a gelly roll pen to enhance the butterflies.

Clean and simple design!

Hello everyone!!  Welcome to the Rubber Dance Blog Hop!!!  If you arrived here from the fabulous Gail’s blog you are on the right track.  If you arrived here on your own, you will want to start from the beginning at Rubber Dance Blog.

Take a look at my card:

Here’s how I created my card:

  1. Cut the cardstock to 5.5 by 8.5, scored at 5.5.
  2. Using Distress Ink Fired Brick and Spiced Marmalade and blend the inks together.  You will get a chalky finish.
  3. Using the Distress Sprayer, spray some water in your hand and drop the water onto the paper.
  4. Use a paper towel to soak up the water, leaving uneven droplets on the ink.
  5. Once the cardstock dries, stamp Rubber Dance Stamps Happy Dancing images onto the card front using Versafine Onxy Ink.
  6. Stamp the sentiment to finish the card off.

Nothing too it!!

Hello everyone!! I’m here today with the Rubber Dance Stamp Theme Challenge!!

The theme is “Lots of Layers”!  All you have to do is create a piece of work that has a lot of layers.

Check out what I created to inspire you:

love-rds

I tried to keep my tag pretty simple since that is more my style, but I also wanted to play around with some mixed media.

Are you asking yourself, where are the layers?  I was hoping that you would ask.

Here you go:

  1. I add gesso on the top of the tag and let it dry.
  2. Then I blended Distressed Ink Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick and Seedless Preserve.
  3. After that, I used Rubber Dance Stamps Round in Circles stamped paired with StazOn Jet Black Ink to stamp the circles.
  4. Then I used the Rubber Dance Stamps Think Again stamp set to stamp the sentiment with the StazOn Ink.
  5.  To finish the tag off, I colored the Crinkle Ribbon with Mustard Seed reinker and added it to the tag.

Thats four layers!!! Yayyy!

What do you think? Please let me know below. I would love to hear from you.

The winner will win five fabulous stamps fromRubber Dance Stamp!! Wait, if the winner used stamps from Rubber Dance Stamp, they will winner another five stamps! That’s a total of 10 stamps!! Wow!!!

Ink Blending – Rubber Dance Stamps

Hello everyone!!  Guess what?  Bibi from Rubber Dance Stamps asked me to Guest Design for her this month!!  If you could see me jumping up and down!!  Yes, I was down right excited.

I met Bibi a couple months back when she sponsored a challenge for one of my challenge teams. I commented on her pretty giraffe stamp and then when she asked if I would guest design I was excited.

Rubber Dance Stamp is a home based, one women show stamp company located on the south-east coast of Norway!! Bibi Lindahl is the owner!

The stamps are red rubber of course and you can buy them mounted or unmounted. The style of the stamps are artsy and somewhat grungy.  I can see them being used a lot for mixed media.  That doesn’t mean you can’t used them for clean and simple style cards, because you can.  I have many times. LOL!!

Today’s card isn’t clean and simple at all.  I’m playing along with Rubber Dance Stamps blog challenge today.
