Altenew February 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil Release Blog Hop

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone and welcome to Altenew’s February 2019 Release Blog Hop!! Today we are showcasing all of the new stamps, dies, and stencils.  If you arrived here from the talented Seeka blog, then you are on the right track. If you arrived here on your own, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Altenew Card Blog so that you don’t miss a thing!

Take a look at my wooden heart scrapbook panel:

Trendy Circles

I love how this wooden panel turned out. I used Altenew Trendy Circles, Better Together and the roller stamp to decorate this heart.

I created this panel for my daughter because on the day of this photo she was quite upset about her hair. It didn’t turn out how she wanted it and was afraid that her peers would not like it. It looked beautiful to me. She did an amazing job.

So I wanted to capture the moment and remind her that different is beautiful. I do not want her to worry about what others think. If she likes who she is and how she looks, that is all that matters.

Let’s take a closer look:

Trendy Circles

To create this panel randomly stamp the circles from the Trendy Circles stamp set using Stazon Ink onto the wooden panel.

Resize the image and print it in color.

Use We R Memory Keeper 3 Way Corner Punch to round all four corners

Stamp the sentiment from Better Together stamp set onto the image using Stazon Ink.

Better Together

Adhere black thread under the photo and place on the center of the wooden panel.

Stamp a sentiment in the upper right hand corner and the date of the event, using the roller stamp, on the side of the left side of the heart.

Nicely done. Don’t you think?

Let’s take another look:

Second Post for today
If your looking for Technique Tuesday’s post, click here

Hello everyone!!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

Take a look at my card:

For this week’s cue card I used the new Love You to Pieces Clear stamp set and Pieces of My Heart Crafting Die from Technique Tuesday!!  Yes, they are brand new and will be released on March 1st.

This set is so fitting for our cue card.  When you die cut the heart, it appears to be in pieces but the pieces are attached at the corners.  They just need a small pair of scissors to snap those corners to break the pieces apart.  Which is what I did above.

I love how this card turned out.  I also created another card, similar in style, using this same set, take a look here.

Super simple and easy.

Technique Tuesday March 2018 Release Countdown Day 1

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today for the first time as a Technique Tuesday Design Team Member!! I’m super excited because I’ve loved Technique Tuesday for a long time, so to be apart of the team is amazing.

Today we are showcasing Technique Tuesday March 2018 Release!  You are going melt into pieces when you see what we have in store for you! So lets get right to it!

Let’s take a look:

Pieces of My Heart Crafting Die

Now tell my you heart didn’t just melt. That Pieces of My Heart Crafting Die is just the cutest!! Guess what, you can pair it with the Love You to Pieces Clear Stamp Set.

The puzzle pieces are attached just at the corners but with a pair of snips the can come apart for versatility. The stamp set is amazing because of the different font styles in each sentiment. I love the bold paired with the smaller lettering.

Here’s how this card was created:

I created a watercolor piece using Prima Watercolor Confections Odyssey set and Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper. The colors are delicious!

Once the watercolor piece dries, use a die cutting machine to die cut the Pieces of My Heart Crafting Die.

Position the heart die where you want it on the 4×4 card front, then stamp the sentiment right next to the die cut in the bottom right corner.

Add Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the different pieces and adhere the heart to the card front.

Use We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board to round the top corners of the card.

Super clean and simple!!

Embossing – Where Creativity Meets C9

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with the Where Creativity Meets C9 Blog Challenge Design Team!! Our challenge this month is Embossing!

Take a look at my card:

For this card I use the heart die from Concord and 9th Heartstrings Die to create an embossed heart on the card front. I have to confess, when I ran the paper through the Big Shot, I didn’t expect the paper to ruffle up.

Once I took the paper off of the cutting plate, I started to get upset.  Thinking I had to start over, I took a second look at the paper. I actually loved the way the ruffles looked on the card front. The paper looks handmade so I decided to go with it.

So I decided to watercolor inside the heart.  Once that dried I added the word kind from Concord and 9th Kind Card Frame Add on Die across the heart.

To finish the card off, I used Tonic Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss to add shimmer to the watercolor and the sentiment and some New Day Card Kit Enamel Dots.

Take a look:

I love how this card turned out!! What do you think?  Please let know below.

I can’t wait to see how you interpret our challenge theme this month.

This week’s cue card:

week-236-romance

Take a look at my card:

thanks-from-the-bottom-cas

For this week’s cue card I used Winnie and Walters From the Bottom of My Heart stamp set that I received as a gift for placing an order with them.  Super cute stamp set.

To create this card:

I stamped the heart using Colorbox Pinkolicious Archival Dye Ink in the center of the card base. Nothing to it!!

White space + No embellishments + Easy to replicate = CAS!

  2. Use the Mini Misti tool to stamp the sentiment in the center of the heart.

Nice and easy.

If your looking for the Your Next Stamp Winter Fun post, click here

Hello everyone!!  I’m super excited to be here today with the Where Creativity Meets C9 Blog Challenge Design Team!!  This is our third challenge and we couldn’t wait to share our love for Concord and 9th!!

Exciting right!!  I think so!!

So without further-a-do, take a look at our challenge theme:

sparkle-and-shine-c9

Take a look at my card:

grateful-wcmc9

For this challenge, shape cards were in order.  I love making cards that are odd shaped from time to time. For the sparkle and shine I foiled the sentiment and adhered it to the card front.  Super doper easy!!

These cards could be turned into tags as well.  Just punch a hole and write on the inside of the tag.

What do you think?  Please let know below.

I can’t wait to see how you interpret our challenge theme this month.

Right At Home Stamps One Year Celebration Blog Hop

Hello everyone!!  I’m so excited today!!  A year ago today, Nicole from Right At Home released her first stamp set called Happy Mail.  Totally amazing and fun.  So today the Design Team and some special guest are celebrating with an amazing blog hop.

one-year-graphic

We have some amazing projects for all of you using the new Happy Mail Year 2 combined with the original Happy Mail stamp set.

Take a look at my card and envelope:

You've got Mail

Congrats Nicole on making a year of totally greatness.  Your stamp sets are super cute and fun to play with.  I’m super happy to work along side you and the rest of the team.

I created a clean and simple card and envelope using both stamp sets!

I stamped the tiny envelopes using Versamark ink and heat embossed Clearsnap Clear Embossing Powder. Then I stamped the You’ve Got Mail and a tiny heart stamp with Clearsnap Home Colorbox Petal Point and heat set it with clear embossing powder.

After that, the circle was fussy cut and adhered to the card front.

For the envelope, I simply stamped the flowers and sentiment using Clearsnap Petal Point Ink and heat set the clear embossing powder.

Nice and simple!!

What do you think?  Please let me know below.

What is a blog hop without a giveaway!!

All you have to do is:

  1. Create a new project specifically for this hop using any of your favorite Right At Home Stamps.  Bonus points if you use Happy Mail or Happy Mail Year 2.
  2. Link up your project and it’s accompanying blog post in the link-up on Nicole’s blog.
  3. The link-up will be open until July 28th, 2016.
  4. Leave a few comments along the hop to support everyone who participated.
