CS Take It Make It: Take a Stamp Challenge Inspiration

I’m here today with CS Take It Make It Design Team for our CS Take It Make It: Take a Stamp Challenge for the month of January.

This month’s theme is Take a Stamp!!  That means take any stamp and create something, anything goes!! Now if that isn’t easy, I’m not sure what is!!

Take a look at my card:

Miss You Man (TIMI) copy

I love this stamp set from Concord and 9th.  I’m learning all bout brush lettering so this stamp set is so fitting for me.  It inspires me to keep going.  Maybe one day my handwriting will be a stamp.

Creating this card was easy:

  1. I used Concord and 9th Sophisticated Script stamp set to build my own sentiment.
  2. Then I used the Mini Misti to arrange the letters the way I want them to appear on the card.
  3. After that I used Versafine ink to stamp the sentiment on to the Neenah Desert Storm cardstock.
  4. To finish off the card I added Your Next Stamp Red Gumdrops and round one corner.

Nice, easy and quick!!

Prizes:

We have two prizes to offer this month, the first is our sponsor prize. This winner will be chosen randomly from all of the entries in the challenge! The sponsor for January is: Basement Studio!

CASology 165 – Circles

Second Post for today
If your looking for the Your Next Stamp Feature Day post, click here.

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card for you!!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 165 - Circles

Take a look at my card:

I Miss You (CAS)

Check out all of those circles!!  I thought this die was so fitting for this weeks cue card.  All of those circles are attached yet they have their own individuality.

Now that stamp set that I used is amazing.  If you follow me on Instagram, I talked briefly about a new company called Concord & 9th.  I love their stamps sets, dies, and tintables.  I will showcase this company this coming Thursday so stay tune to learn more about them.

I’m starting with this stamp set called Map Love!  I love all of the images in this set and on Thursday you will see other creations I’ve made with this set.

To create this card:

I die cut Simon Says Stamp Ring Frame Circle Die out of Bazzill cardstock.

I used Tombow Multipurpose Glue to adhere the die cut to my card base.

I used Concord & 9th Map Love and stamped my sentiment and geotag within the different circles using My Favorite Things Hybrid Black Ink.

I added one Stampin Up! rhinestone to the sentiment.

For the finishing touch, I add Clear Wink of Stella to the You and the geotags.

Super Simple and easy!!

Now its your turn!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Wishing you were here…

Hello everyone!!  Kymona here sharing my very first Top Dog Dies Design Team post with you today!!  I’m super excited to be here and I hope you love what I’m about to share with you!!

Today I’m working with one of the new dies that was released on Tuesday!!

tc084_1Top Dog Dies Feathers Die Set

Take a look at what I created for you:

Wishing you were closer

These feathers are super fun to work with.  I love the detail on each feather! So you want to know how I created this card?

Here you go:

1. I cut a piece of watercolor paper down to 4.25 x 5.50 and taped it down to my work station.

2. I added a good amount of water to my watercolor paper.

3. Then I dropped Distress Inks Broken China and Evergreen Bough to my paper and let the color spread all over my paper.  I heat set it.  Then I sprayed water in my hand and drop some drops of water onto my paper to create blotches of white spots.

4. Once my watercolor piece dried.  You can see in the next photo how watercolor dries lighter.

5. I used my feather dies and cut out three feathers.

6. I adhered the flowers together with glue dots and tied a bow using linen thread.

7. I used the same color inks and a clean pencil erasers and added the dots surrounding my feathers.

TDD feather tutorial 3

8. I adhered the feathers over those dots using glue dots.

9. I used Simon Says Stamp Sending & Wishing stamp set to create my sentiment.  I stamped it to the right of the flowers.

10.  I used my corner chomper to round two of the cards corners.

That is all it took to create this card.  I love how it turned out and I hope you will give this technique a try.

Very elegant without any real hard work.

So what do you think? I would love to hear from you.
