{Clean and Simple} CASology – Score

Hello everyone!!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card:

week-237-score

Take a look at my card:

so-lucky-to-have-you-cas

For this week’s cue card I used Neat and Tangled So Lucky stamp set.  I figured I would get a jump start on St. Patrick’s Day, LOL!!

When I thought about the cue card, I thought about score lines.  I remember having some already scored card stock that I prepped for a different project.  Why not use one of those for this challenge.  I used Papertrey Ink Sunshine Impressions Plate to score the card front.

Then I thought which stamp set would look good over the scored lines and the big bold sentiment from Neat and Tangled came to mind. In order to use this stamp set, I knew I needed to add some color before I stamped the sentiment.

I used Gansail Tambi 36 Color Set to add the pretty watercolor green to card front. I heat set the watercolor.

Then, I used the Mini Misti to stamp the sentiment.  It made it so much easier to stamp the sentiment a couple of times using Stazon Jet Black Ink.

I love how the score lines show through the sentiment.  You have score lines on the actual card front and score lines in the sentiment that were not originally there.

Super doper easy!!

What do you think?

{Clean and Simple} CASology 228 – Bow

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Clean and Simple Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card:

week-228-bow

Take a look at my card:

its-time-to-jingle

For this week’s cue card, I used a couple different stamps from different companies!!  I love spreading the love!

I used Concord and 9th Love You.Mean It stamp set for the circles that created the wreath. Then I used Mama Elephant Jingle Greetings for the sentiment.  I stamped both of those with Clearsnap Colorbox Wicked Black Ink.

Here comes the interesting part.

I used a paper piercer to make a small hole at the top of the wreath. Then I strung two small jingle bells to a piece of twine and pushed the other end through the hole.  I tied a small knot. I used a piece of washi tape to hold it down. I added a piece of cardstock (4 x 5.25) to cover up the washi tape.

After that I die cut three of the cute bow from Reverse Confetti Tagged Tote Confetti Cuts out of red cardstock.  I adhered them together and placed it right over the pierced hole.  Now the jingle bells look like they are attached to the bow.

Clever right?  Believe it or not it was really simple and easy.

CS Take It Make It: Masking and Stenciling

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with CS Take It Make It Design Team for our CS Take It Make It: Take a Stamp Challenge for the month of July.

This month’s theme is Take a Technique: Stenciling or Masking!!  That means you can use a stencil or mask somewhere on your creation with a stamped image or sentiment anywhere on your creation.

Take a look at my card:

Hello (masked stencil) (TIMI)

So stenciling is pretty but mix that with masking and you have a great design.

Here is how I created this card:

I used Your Next Stamp Circle die to cut a circle out of some masking paper.

Then I placed the Inkadinkado masking paper on top of the card front.

After that I placed the stencil on top of the masked card front.

Once those two were in place, I blended the two distress ink colors on top of the stencil.

Stenciling and Masking (TIMI)

Then I took the mask off to reveal the beautiful circle of dots.

Completed (TIMI)

To finish the card off, I stamped the sentiment from a retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set on top of the masked/stenciled dots.

Super simple and easy!!!

Sooooo, what do you think? Please let me know below.

Prizes:

We have two prizes to offer this month, the first is our sponsor prize. This winner will be chosen randomly from all of the entries in the challenge! The sponsor for August is: GiogioCraft!

Prize: Bundle of 4 Stencils

Our second winner is our Design Winner. This winner is chosen by our DT, who all vote for their favorite design from all of the entries. This winner will have their winning project published in Craft Stamper Magazine, they will have a GDT slot for an upcoming challenge, and will also feature in their very own Winners Profile blog post!

Now if that isn’t a reason to play along I’m not sure what is!!
