CASology 166 – Science

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card for you!!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 166 - Science

Take a look at my card:

Your made of (CAS)

I went really simple with this cue card this week.  When I saw the cue card word, my mind went straight to Your Next Stamp Perfect Chemistry Stamp Set.

This card doesn’t represent science, I’m not sure what would.  LOL!!! Do you remember that periodic table in school.  I do, LOL! I was a science major.

For this card, the sentiment and squares are part of one stamp so I only stamped once and colored the squares in with Copic marker: YR27 and C1.

I rounded the top corners of the card stock, then I was done.

Super, Super, Super Simple and easy!!

Now its your turn!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Heartfelt Thanks – Muse

Hello everyone!!  I’m popping in really quickly to share my card for the Muse Challenge this week!!

Yes, its been a while since I played and the opportunity presented itself so I jumped on it.

This week’s Muse is Anita Bowden. Take a look at her card:

20150919_134014

Now take a look at my card:

Heartfelt Thanks 1

To create this card, I used My Favorite Things Jumbo Dot Cover-Up and created a stencil.  I used Distress Ink Scattered Straw, Spun Sugar, Evergreen Bough, and Shade Lilac to create my circles.

Stencil and Inks

I simple pounced the ink onto the paper.  Once that was done, I removed the stencil and trimmed the card panel down and added to the black panel and then add that to the card base.

I used Papertrey Ink’s Circle Scribbles Die to cut a piece of vellum.  Then I die cut Paper Smooches Heartfelt Thanks sentiment out of black card stock.  I attached both to the card front using Tombow Multipurpose Glue.

Super simple and fun to create.

So what do you think?  Does my card fit the Muse?

Guest Designing for Concord & 9th and coupon code!

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with a brand new company, Concord & 9th!!!

logo

I have to say that I’m over the top excited about this new online retail shop that offers fun products and inspiration for your paper crafting needs!!

I found them them on Instagram a couple of weeks ago.  I was looking for new people to follow and I saw this amazing watercolor card and was totally drawn in.

Take a look:

FullSizeRender (2)
I said OMG, this is beautiful!! I had to look further!!  When I arrived on their Instagram feed, I was impressed. I started following them immediately. Then I went over to their website and learned more about them.  I loved the story behind how they started and I was tickled when I found out how they came up with their name.

A week later, Angie one of the owners contacted me and invited me to be a guest designer.  I was over the top excited!!! I read the email a couple of times before I responded!! I said YES and here we are today.

Before I share my cards, Greg and Angie wanted to say hello:

“Hello from Concord & 9th! We are excited to be partnering with Kymona on this special blog post. We stumbled upon one of Kymona’s cards, checked out her blog and fell in love with her style – we love clean and simple, and we LOVE watercoloring!

Concord & 9th was formed by Greg & Angie whose paths crossed 5 years ago in the corporate craft world. We realized we both have a passion for the craft industry. Greg studied product design and business, then headed into a career in product development. Angie has been an avid paper crafter for 15 years, with a focus on stamps, inky fingers and product development. So, we sat down and came up with a plan to start our dream jobs! The name Concord & 9th is an intersection of where we live. Greg lives on Concord, Angie lives off 9th. We loved the idea of our paths crossing, taking a new route in life and intersecting with other crafters and designers, like YOU, so we made our logo have a street sign vibe.

Our aim is to keep products fresh & trendy for you, so we decided to offer new product releases on the 9th of each month (see what we did there?). We are excited about the response to our new shop so far and for what we have in the works. We tend to get too excited to wait for the 9th so we sneak products leading up to the 9th.

We are SO glad our paths crossed with Kymona’s, and look forward to crossing paths with you too! Come take a ride with us on all the fun social media outlets (links on our homepage) so we can keep in touch!”

Yayyy, Greg and Angie!!!  I’m super excited our paths crossed too!!

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card for you!!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 165 - Circles

Take a look at my card:

I Miss You (CAS)

Check out all of those circles!!  I thought this die was so fitting for this weeks cue card.  All of those circles are attached yet they have their own individuality.

Now that stamp set that I used is amazing.  If you follow me on Instagram, I talked briefly about a new company called Concord & 9th.  I love their stamps sets, dies, and tintables.  I will showcase this company this coming Thursday so stay tune to learn more about them.

I’m starting with this stamp set called Map Love!  I love all of the images in this set and on Thursday you will see other creations I’ve made with this set.

To create this card:

I die cut Simon Says Stamp Ring Frame Circle Die out of Bazzill cardstock.

I used Tombow Multipurpose Glue to adhere the die cut to my card base.

I used Concord & 9th Map Love and stamped my sentiment and geotag within the different circles using My Favorite Things Hybrid Black Ink.

I added one Stampin Up! rhinestone to the sentiment.

For the finishing touch, I add Clear Wink of Stella to the You and the geotags.

Super Simple and easy!!

Now its your turn!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Second Post for today
If your looking for the So Suzy Stamps Happiness is and Giveaway post, click here.

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card for you!!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 164 - Umbrella

Take a look at my cards:

Love Ya 1(CAS)

My cards has no stamping this time around, only die cutting!!  I love how they turned out.

All I did was die cut the umbrella from Simon Says Stamp Addy’s Spring Showers Die Set out of My Favorite Things Homespun Gingham Paper Pack.

I die cut the card panel using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Square Dies in two largest sizes.

Then I used these foam die cut the my good friend Maggie sent to me on Friday. Thanks again Maggie.  I truly appreciate it.  You can find Maggie on Instagram!!  Her handle is @maggieb1983. Check her out.

IMG_5148

Maggie told me the The Love Ya Die is from CAS-ual Friday Stamps and it won’t be available until next year for everyone who doesn’t get the Stamp of Approval kits. I have to keep that in mind.

Once everything was die cut, I adhered everything using a Tombow Multipurpose Glue Adhesive.

I placed some fun foam behind my card panel to give it an even lift. Then I adhered the card panel to the card base.

Nice and easy.  I couldn’t make one but two because it was so easy!!

Here they are individually:

    Prepping cardstock
  2. I used the new Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Stamp Set and stamped it on my black cardstock using Versamark ink.
