Thank you Post cards

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with So Suzy Stamps!!

I’m currently on a couple college tours with my kids.  Yes, I have a 17 year old son who will graduate in June and I still can’ believe it.

We are currently walking on campus so let me jump in so that I don’t walk into trees while typing my post, LOL!!

Our challenge this month is all about Thanksgiving/Fall so I thought it was fitting to create thank you postcards to send those that we are thankful for.

Gerdia Stiener Designs

After I bought a couple of stamps both digital and rubber, I realized she also has a monthly challenge.  So I knew I had to give this challenge a try.

Some of you know that I’m currently taking the new online card class, which works perfectly with this challenge since I have to color the image.

Copic

For this September challenge we had to use the “Kid With Pumpkin Cart” image.  This bundle is on sale right now, so don’t wait to pick it up.

Screenshot 2014-08-27 21.56.54Here is what my card looks like:

Hello Fall

1. I used Mama Elephant Femme Frames Creative Cuts to cut out my Neenah Solar White Cardstock for a stitched boarder.

2. I used Copic markers to color my image.

Pumpkin: YR02, YR04, YRo7

Wagon: E33, E35, E37

Wheels: YR04, N4, N5

Scarf, Hat Gloves, Pocket: YR12, YR15, YR16

Coat: YG63, YG67

Face: E00, E11, R20

Hair: E33, E35

3. I added Pumpkin Skittles to the four corners of my image for added dimension.

4. I used the sentiment “Hello Fall” from Stampin’ UP! For All Things Stamp Set.

So what do you think?  What do you think of my coloring?  I like it.  Still needs work, but I’m doing much better with every try!

Head on over to Gerda Steiner Designs and check her out.

I’m also entering this card into the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge to encourage all of you to give it a try!  The theme is Anything Goes. The prize pack is so cute.
