Here is a look at my interpretation of her card.  I must warn you, my die cut doesn’t match up equally with my balloons.  I’m not sure what happen but I like it just how it is.

What do you think?  This die cut technique isn’t a new one, but its a fun one.

Sending Smiles..

Hello everyone!!  I’m back again with an other card for Create a Smile September Guest Designer Search which is closing on Thursday, August 14th.

Blog-Badge

They have a new freebie digi file called Mrs. Anty.  I think this little ant is the cutest little creature I’ve seen.

Take a look at my card:

Sending Smiles

Aren’t these little ants so cute.  Yes, I fussy cut out all of them.  That’s the mother and her two children walking home.

Sending Smiles close up

This is how I created this card:

1. I cut the hill out of Stampin’ Up! Gumball Green Core’dinations cardstock using the curve die from Avery Elle Custom Panels Die.  The cardstock is on the clearence rack for $2.79, grab it while you can.

2. Then I cut the sun and the clouds out of Bazzill Marshmallow cardstock and Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Delight cardstock with Lawn Fawn Spring Showers Die.

3. I used my Copic marker #BV23 to color in the ants.  Then I cut all of my ants out.  Now it’s time to put the card together.

4. I added the ants, hill, sun and clouds with Stampin Dimensionals.

5. For my sentiment, I decided to use one in the Mama Elephants Up and Away stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

That’s it!!  Nothing more to it!!!

Please let me what you think of this card.

Are You Enjoying Your Journey?

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with CAS(E) this sketch #85.  This week’s sketch is from N@Ali.  I love this sketch, its clean and simple.

Take a look at my card:

Enjoy the Journey 2

I love how this card turned out.  It has the CAS factors.  One focal point, one sentiment, little embellishments and a lot of white space!

I used my brand new Life’s Journey stamp set and Super Geotag die from Simon Says Stamp’s new release called This Is The Life.

I love this new set.  Life really is journey that we are on and we have no clue were we will end up.  There are times when we set our path and something happens that take of off that path.  Its up to you to get back on path no matter how hard it might, but we MUST enjoy the journey or it will not be worth it.

So what do you think?  Please let me know by leaving a comment below.

Who Doesn’t Want A Hug?

I’m back again today with another card for Less is More Week 173.  Today’s card is very simple and clean!  I’ve combined my love of water-coloring and die-cutting to create my card.

For those of you who don’t know a couple of weeks ago I start a watercolor class and absolutely loved it.  Before, the class started we were instructed to practice using our “stuff” and I created a couple of single pieces.  I had hoped to use my pieces during the class but never did because I create other cards.  So, when Less is More decided that their recipe this week would be Die Cut, I knew I had to use this piece on my card. No need to throw anything away, especially a big Hug as pretty as this.

Hugs

I know I wanted to keep my card very simple because the watercolor image is so powerful by itself.

Hugs top view

I die cut out 4 hugs and attached them to my watercolor piece to create some dimension on the front of my card.

Side note: I’ve been working on improving my photograph.  The background of these pictures are a little dark but I like the effect.  It gives the card a warm feeling which is what I love in the words of Olaf, “I Love Warm Hugs“!!

So, what do you think? Do you like “Warm Hugs” too?

Let me know.
