CASology 183 – Glitter

Hello everyone!!  It’s CASology Tuesday!!  We are back with another Cue Card just for you!!

This week’s cue card is:

Week 183 - Glitter

Take a look at my card:

XOXO

I love when I get to use things from my stash.  I remembered having this glitter paper from American Craft and decided it was perfect for this week’s cue card.

Creating this card was easy, I used American Craft dotted embossing folder and embossed the front of my card. Then I used Lawn Fawn Scripty XOXO to die cut the read glitter paper from American Craft. I adhered the die cut to the front of the card using Tombow Extreme Adhesive.  I used We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper to round the top two corners.

All done!!

What do you think?  I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Here is the inspiration photo that guided us this time around:

SS 2.1

Now take a look at my take of this photo:

Be Mine Milk Cartoon

Here is how I created these mini milk cartoons for my daughter’s class:

  1. I used retired Stampin’ Up! Bigz L Mini Milk Carton to cut out 3 milk cartons.
  2. Then I put the cartons together with Tombow Extreme Adhesive.
  3. After that I added some random Love Washi Tape around the boxes.
  4. Then I added some crystal hearts from Michael’s for my bling onto all of the boxes.
  5. I used My Favorite Things Pierced Heat STAX to cut out three small hearts.
  6. I stamped Right At Home Kiss Kiss sentiment onto the hearts.
  7. I adhered the hearts with some Micheal’s clothes pins.

They are filled with candy for her classmates.  I hope they love these too.

That fun!!

a2z Scrapbooking February 2016 Challenge

Second Post for the day
If your looking for So Suzy Stamps January Challenge, click here

Hello everyone!!  I’m here with a2z Scrapbooking today with our February Challenge!!!

Our new challenge is all about Masking!!!!!

Check out the card I created for this challenge:

You're Pretty Sweet

First let me tell you that my daughter, really had me dying with laughter.  She said, “Mom, why did you color the watermelons orange”?  I said, “because they are oranges”.  Then she said, “Mom those aren’t oranges, they are watermelons.  Look at the seeds and the rim”. I had to laugh!!  So yes, they are watermelons that I turned into oranges.

In any case, all I did was:

  1. Stamp the two fruit on some masking paper then cut them out by hand.
  2. I stamped the apple first, then covered it with the masking paper then stamped the orange on both sides.
  3. Then I removed the masked and covered the right orange, with its mask, then stamped the last apple.
  4. Some of the fruit are in front and some are in the back.  That is what masking does.  It prevents you from having lines in the images.
  5. Then I colored them with Copic Markers E27, G07, R46 and YR68.
  6. After that I stamped the sentiment and added some gems.

Easy peasy!!

Great trick, right? I hope you love what you see and that it inspires you to join us this month. You have the entire month to create a new project and enter it into our challenge. By entering you will have a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to the a2z Scrapbooking Store. Winner will be announced on the 7th of March.  Good Luck!

So Suzy Stamps February 2016 Challenge

Hello everyone!!  I’m here with So Suzy Stamps and our second challenge for 2016!!!

Check out our new challenge:

Color of Love

Check out my mini notepad:

Hello Crafty friends (SSS)

Now let me tell you something before I start on how I created this card!!  I love the new stencils and brushes Suzy has in her store!!

They are called the Clarity Stencils and Clarity Brushes!!  They work wonders together!! Check out this quick video I posted on Instagram so you can see some of what I did.

After applying the ink on my Recollection White Card-stock, I trimmed it down to fit on the front of the Recollection Black Card-base.

Then I stamped So Suzy Stamp new Hello Crafty Friends stamp that is available today, on the front panel using Versafine Black Ink.

The black card base was cut to 4.50 x 8.50, scored at 4.50 and 4.

Inside

On the inside, I adhered a purple post-it note pad.

I stamped the corners of the post-it note using So Suzy Stamps Smile Stamp set.

I added Your Next Stamp Clear Gumdrops to finish the card off.

Nice, pretty and easy to create.
