Topflight Stamps Birthday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome!!! It is Topflight Stamps 2nd birthday!  To celebrate, we’ve teamed up with up some of our favorite crafters to bring you a blog hop showcasing some of the fabulous products available from Topflight Stamps.   Please hop along with us all and show all of the crafters some love!

If you arrived here from the talented Annette Allen blog, then you are on the right track. If you arrived here on your own, then you will want to start at the beginning, the Topflight Stamp blog so that you don’t miss a thing!

Take a look at my mixed media bookmark and mini notebook:

Let’s take a look at my tags:

Create It Grunge

I created two tags that are similar but not quite. I used AALL & Create Create it Grunge stamp set to create both tags.

Let’s take a closer look:

For tag number one, I used a stencil and a baby wipe to create the grid look. I also used the dark paint more.

Create It Grunge

For tag number two, before adding gesso to the tag, I placed a couple of pieces of chicken wire like tape and painted right over it. The tape creates a different texture that looks fabulous.

Create It Grunge

Oversized tags are fun to make and I love grunge look of the stamp set.

Let’s take a look at my mini mixed media notebook:

Create It Grunge

I love this little notebook. It was so much fun painting with my fingers.  It’s not just the front that is decorated. Check out the back too.

Create It Grunge

For the cover I added a couple of glass beads and metal pieces to add character.

Create it Grunge

I even decorated the inside a bit.

Letters

I created a monoprint using Carabella Studio Letters stamp set. Then cut it out using my Cricut Maker.

Let’s take another look:

So what do you think?

What is a blog hop without amazing gift? Yayyy!!

Prizes:

Of course, it wouldn’t be a birthday celebration without prizes!  Topflight Stamps is giving one lucky winner a $50 Gift Certificate, and each stop on the hop has an additional $15 Gift Certificate up for grabs.  To be in with a chance to win, make sure to visit every stop on the hop and leave a comment by April 8th.

Hello everyone!!! I’m super doper excited to be here with all of you today: I’m Guest Designing for StencilGirl today.

Why is this so exciting because I’ve always been a clean and simple artist but since Creativation this year I’ve been so intrigued with mixed media and stencils.  I met Mary Beth Shaw while at the show and was amazed at what she shared with me.

So I bought my first stencil and my life hasn’t been the same since!!

Here’s a sneak peek:

Art Journaling Page + Giveaway

Hello everyone!!  I’m here today with another Art Journaling Page plus a Giveaway to share with all of you!!

My good friend Josefine and I decided to get together and do a mini Instagram hop using Gel Press Petite Plates.

Both of us love using Gel Press Plates on our art journaling pages.  So when we saw the petite plates we had to give them a try and share what we love with all of you!!

This petite set comes with 3 gel press plates:

  • 3″ Hexagon
  • 3″ Oval
  • 3″ Rectangle

We wanted to show how we used it to get everyone excited about them.

Take a look at my page:

gel press petite plates

I wanted to show how you could create different impressions using all three of the plates. My design is very random and I love it that way.  Not much thought goes into my pages. I used StencilGirl Stencils for each of my impressions.

So for each impression I use the same process:

  • This what the plates looks like once you take them out of the packaging.

Gel Press Plate

  • Once I decided on the plate that I wanted to use, I placed the stencil right on top of the plate.

Gel Press Plate

  • Then I added some paint on top of the stencil and used a brayer to even the paint onto the plate.

Gel Press Plate

  • This is what the plate looks like after the paint is evened out.

Gel Press Plate

  • Take the stencil off of the plate to see the pattern transferred onto the plate.

Gel Press Plate

  • Press the plate onto the paper to create the design your looking for.

gel press petite plates

Totally fun and no two impressions will ever look the same.

So what do you think?  Aren’t these petite plates fun to use.

Take a look at my tag:

Rubber Dance Stamps Beautiful Bugs

I had so much creating this tag.  I recently took an online class that taught me about the color wheel and how to use colors.  I created a postcard size switch using three colors next to each other.  I used blue, green and yellow green.

When I saw the theme for this challenge I knew I wanted to use this postcard.

Using Neat and Tangled Scalloped Die set cut out the tag.

Using the Mini Misti, stamp the Dragonfly and the sentiment from Rubber Dance Stamps Beautiful Bugs and Something Wonderful stamp set using black ink.

Rubber Dance Stamps Something Wonderful

Then use We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile Power Punch to punch a hole in the tag.

Now it time to get the ribbon colored.  Using Tim Holtz Crinkle Ribbon, cut three pieces.

Spray them with Altenew Ink Spray Ocean Wave, Frayed Leaf, and Warm Sunshine. Crinkle in your hand and then dry it with a heat tool.

Add them to the tag and your done.

Crinkled Ribbon

I love how this turned out and I love that is is my last project as a member of this team.

Check out what I created to inspire you:

rubber dance stamp butterflies

Summer reading is so much fun!! I love sitting under a tree, escaping to another word.  So I created this bookmark for those summer books.

I brayed bright summer colors to create the fabulous back ground colors. Then I stamped Rubber Dance Stamp Butterfly Trio stamp set on top the dry background.

For the ribbon, I added paint to the ribbon using my finger.  Then I rounded the corners to finish the bookmark off.

What do you think?  Please let me know below.  I would love to hear from you.
